I was buying a digital camera for Christmas, went on line and found a good price-I thought. I went on Everyprice.com. Techon Digital was the one I picked.
They had a "customer service rep standing by call now", as I wanted to be sure that the camera I was buying was new not reconditioned I called.
First the rep tried to talk me out of the camera I wanted and tried to "upgrade" the camera. Then he told me that the battery that came with the camera would only run for 15 minutes and that I really needed to buy the longer life battery. He was very high pressure! I bought the $99 battery with the camera, I didn't want my son to have to buy a battery after I gave him the camera as a gift.
After I closed out, I thought that it just wasn't right. So I called back within 5 minutes with questions. I was treated very rude and was told that a 20% restocking fee would be charged if I canceled my order. I questioned the extra battery that I had be pressured into buying and was told "we don't play games here, you need that battery for the camera to be any good".
I guess I could have called my credit card company, but didn't think of it at the time as I was upset with the rudeness.
I never received a confirmation email about the transaction.
When the camera did come, the invoice was from The Camera Wiz and the return policy was almost impossible.
When Christmas came, my son used the camera with the battery that came with the camera from all day-no need for the extra battery--I was ripped off!
