I ordered a Magellan Maestro 5310 GPS Navigation System on TechonDigital web site. Got a call the next day and the salesman (William) tried to tell me that the GPS required a special memory card, and he could sell me a 2 Gig card for $179. He stated that it was required to get any updates for the maps; otherwise I would have to send in the whole GPS system every year and be with out it for 6 to 8 weeks while they were updating the maps on it. AND that I would have to pay for the shipping of the unit as well. I told him I was not interested in the memory card and then he dropped the price from $179 to $99. I told him I was still not interested.

He then went into another hard sell on the extended warranty. I declined that as well. He then told me very bluntly to enjoy my new GPDS and that it would be shipped out in the next day or so.

2 days later I got an Email that said:
Due to the product you ordered being out of stock for 6-8 weeks from today's date. We regret to inform you that the order is canceled due to the product being on backorder. when or if we get the product again in stock soon will send you an email to place an order please do not resubmit your order again.
