I attended Techskills hopping to gain educational skills and certifications in the IT field, also for a career head start. What a disappointment it was with this school's curriculum. I am very disappointed with my overall experience as a student at this school.
Please do not even try to use their financing; it has a horrific interest rate! My loan from Education Financial Services, is a night mare. Do not EVER use Education Financial Services. My counselor lied about everything; I ended up with a Variable rate loan. My loan situation is horrible.
I agree with this Individual:
They have horrible programs. They claim they cater to the full time employee... their work load is immense. Unless you are full time DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL. They think you can get certified in a few weeks on a lot of their certifications. 3-4 weeks to be exact, trust me not easy especially with a job. Your brain can only contain so much until you go into information overload, especially if you buy one of their 'good deals' that includes a 'membership' where you can get as many cert. as possible in x months for an ungodly amount of money! This place is a boot camp. You are FAR better off buying a book and doing it on your own. You basically work on your own. They have very few staff to help. Their weekend hours are very limited. What about the working student? Their course work is insane.
Resources: They have limited resources in respect to computer systems and lab systems. You could buy a cheap computer for home for the price you pay here for a lab computer and google.com can be more reliable a source for help then some of their mentors! You definitely do not get what you pay for.
There are a few mentors that are great, but a rare few. All I am asking if you read this is avoid the school at all costs. (Techskills, 5400 Trinity Rd, Suite 102, Raleigh, NC 27607)

I went through similiar issues with TechSkills in Oklahoma City I applied for their in house loan and was approved I started the course Wasnt given much help from advisors Software and Labs never worked after 2 weeks, I aked for help or I need a full return on this loan I stopped school within 1 month Never completed any course Never completed any labs Started off with wrong books and materials They sent me to collections for $11,000 My credit is affected and Im still owing $11,000 This has to be againist the law I even asked if I could start over The school was closed
What can I do? what can I do legally? I need any advice. I shouldnt have to pay for something I never received......((((email redacted))) contact info. or (((email redacted))) Thanks fo rany help with this matter... I would love to be a part of a class action law suit.
