A Mrs. Diane Dewey left a message on my answering machine. Upon coming home from work I listen in dismay. She said that I or my attorney had 48 hours to respond regarding an important business matter or legal action was going to be taken against me.
I called the 800 number given and was given the run around from a man for nearly 2 minutes. He tried transferring me to the extension I was given. After many clicks and even a few whispers to some unknown coworker, I told him that Mrs. Dewey could call me at home, as I was fearful that something suspicious was going on as I heard dial up sounds. He rudely said she would.
Imagine my surprise when Mrs. Dewey calls and tells me this is regarding an unpaid bill from Alyon. I seriously thought this issue was over late last September, after filing numerous complaints and getting a letter from my State Attorney General stating that I needn't pay Alyon a dime.
I should have known from the message it was a (censored). They gave no company name, no information, etc. Just call or else type deal. Mrs. Dewey was sarcastic and even ADMITTED that she had previously worked for Alyon and she vouched that they are an upstanding company who would never ever commit (censored). Yeah right.....
I have filed on rip off reports before, and will continue to until this is resolved. I will not send these (censored) a dime! In the meanwhile she told me to send her a copy of my letter from the Wisconsin Attorney General. This I will do. I have filed yet another complaint with the FTC.
Someone please advise what other steps I can take! I have filed over 12 complaints and it seems these nuts will stop at nothing even though they know I am fighting this billing one hundred percent. I have followed all the steps offered on this site. The gentleman from Redding, CA has offered wonderful help, but still they are after me!
These people are ruthless (censored)and I hate to think this is just "all in a days' work for them". How dare they show their faces in public. There is a place in hell for (censored) like these.

Give Alyon The "Cold Shoulder"!

The best way to handle Alyon is to ignore them completely and totally! Don't even answer their phone calls. Don't send them anything in the mail. Return any mail from them with a "return to sender, not at this address". By communicating with Alyon, you are lowering yourself to their level, and you are giving Alyon a chance to be rude and insulting! Alyon is under a court order from a FTC lawsuit, July, 2003; that prohits Alyon from trying to collect on a disputed occurrence. It is a good idea to write a letter to the three credit rating agencies, along with a copy of the ruling from the FTC lawsuit. Credit rating agencies normally won't give (censored)operations like Alyon, "the time of day". They are not going to do anything legally, it costs too much money. They are "bluffing"! When you're running a (censored)operation, you're nothing more than a "bag of hot air"! Play "hardball" and ignore them!

Diane,
You have taken all the right steps. Send them the copy of the letter from the AG and then just QUIT.
Break all contact with them from this point on. You have done your part. Either have your phone number changed or get Caller ID. Never respond to them again.
Do not return calls from people if they refuse to identify themselves on your answering machine. A legitimate call will always have an identification provided. If it is an ID you do not recognize, let it go as I would not put it past this bunch of hairballs to lie; look at their MO!
If you should happen to accidentally pick up a call from these dirtbags, pretend you don't speak English or that you don't know a Diane!
Any correspondence should be marked "Return to Sender-Address Unknown".
If they show up at your door to demand payment, call the law!
These (censored)have invaded your privacy once. The fact that they continue to do so could be construed as harassment.
Good grief...this company is worse than icky soap (censored)or stubborn drain residue. First it is difficult to remove their dirt from your system, then it seems nearly impossible to remove them from your life.
Douse them with Industrial-Strength Cold Shoulder and go on with your life, Alyon-free!
