WHEN I CALLED TELECHECK THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NOTHING NEGATIVE ON MY PROFILE BUT THAT I HAD WRITTEN SEVERAL LARGE CHECKS LATELY AND THAT CAUSED A FLAG, SO THEY UPDATED MY PROFILE AND I WAS ABLE TO WRITE CHECKS AGAIN.
THEN ABOUT ONE MONTH AGO I HAD A CHECK THAT DID BOUNCE BECAUSE MY PAYCHECK DIDN'T GET IN THE BANK BEFORE THREE THAT DAY AND IT CROSSED. SO I CALLED TELECHECK AND THEY RERAN THE CHECK WITHIN A WEEK AND IT CLEARED AND THEY CHARGED ME THE $25 FEE.
SO THE NEXT CHECK I TRIED TO WAS DECLINED AND I CALLED TELECHECK AGAIN. THEY SAID EVERYTHING WAS GOOD ON MY ACCOUNT PROFILE BUT IT NEEDED TO BE UPDATED AGAIN, SO THEY DID THAT AND TOLD ME TO WAIT SEVEN DAYS BEFORE WRITING A CHECK. SO I WAITED.
THEN THE NEXT CHECK I TRIED TO WRITE WAS AGAIN DECLINED. I CALLED AND WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE LITTLE CHECK WRITING HISTORY ON THIS VERY OLD ACCOUNT AND THAT I NEEDED TO BUILD A STRONGER HISTORY. BECAUSE OF THE ONE HOT CHECK THAT WAS PAID, I NEEDED TO WRITE MORE CHECKS TO REBUILD MY HISTORY, BUT THAT WASN'T THE ONLY THING AFFECTING MY PROFILE, THE LITTLE HISTORY WAS A MAJOR FACTOR.
BUT THEY CANT TELL ME HOW MUCH TO TRY WRITING A CHECK FOR IN ORDER TO DO THIS. SO HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BUILD A HISTORY IF I CANT WRITE A CHECK. AND HOW CAN THESE PEOPLE BE ALLOWED TO TELL ME I CAN OR CANT WRITE A CHECK? SHOULDN'T MY BANK DECIDE THAT. I AM GOING IN CIRCLES AND NOT GETTING ANYWHERE. I CANT FIX THIS PROBLEM WHEN TELECHECK CANT TELL ME HOW TO FIT IN THE GUIDELINES THEY HAVE SET MUCH LESS ABLE TO EXPLAIN THEIR GUIDELINES.

Search Tips- The short answer is NO your bank should not decide that. All your bank does is that when a check is presented to them they either pay it or return it if the funds are not available and they don't want to "cover" it.
Telecheck is a "Check Guarantee" service to merchants. What that means is that if they approve a check that gets returned by the bank Telecheck will pay the merchant for the bad check. Of course the check writer still owes the check and fees involved but they now pay Telecheck. Since Telecheck is taking the risk, Telecheck can determine if they will accept the check.
But there is a simple solution to this. Use your Debit Card instead, as it is linked to your Checking Account just like a Check. The only difference is that there is no "float" as to when the funds are removed. So unless you are "floating" a check there is no reason you can't use your Debit Card.
Of course based on your report you were floating a check(or checks) and found out what happens. So if you must write a check, you should only write a check if you have the funds currently available in your account.
