We all get short on money sometimes. Where I live there are 2 places to get a payday loan. Money Mart and the Cash Store. Long story short. If I get $100 from Money Mart, I pay about $120 back. $20 bucks. To me that is very reasonable. You get cash in hand and out the door you go. My complaint is about the Cash Store. I needed $60 today. Money Mart wasn't available to me for certain reasons, lol. I asked how much it would cost. Sit down for this, lol. $146. I'm not kidding you. I said why is it so much. Well seeing I haven't gotten a loan from them in awhile, I had to pay a maintenance fee. A maintenance what? I said this is outrageous. I said to the employee I understand its not you who I'm mad at. You are just doing their job. I asked how a business can do this when their competition, not even 2 blocks away charges pretty much $20 per $100 loaned. They couldn't answer me. You also get charged more fees when you come back and pay by debit card. yup, lol. You don't leave with cash, they give you a fake credit card. You pay for that. More fees. Pay more when you use the ATM just to take the cash out. Please get the word out. Stay away from the Cash Store. If you truly need a short term loan, you can't go wrong with $20 per $100 loaned at Money Mart. I just shake my head of how many innocent people use their service, probably not knowing there is other options. You, the Cash Store, are the definition of pathetic. You are nothing but predators. I'm surprised they don't charge you for breathing their air, sitting in their chairs, and using the ink in their pens. Oh great, I probably just gave them some new ideas.
