The Company Corporation Incorporate.com Incorporate.com Deceptively Hides Large Fees in Terms of Service Wilmington, Delaware

I registered three companies with The Company Corporation based upon their offer of a $99 processing fee (in addition to state mandated fees). When signing up, they do not allow you to specify a registered agent as you would when filling out papers directly with the State of Texas. This is because they specify themselves as the registered agent and then charge large fees for this "service."

The fees are not stated anywhere on the sign up form and are burried in the fine print of the terms of service, a practice which is considered deceptive by the FTC. Additionally, they do not provide notification that these fees will be incurred and do not provide information on how to change the registered agent. You simply receive a letter months after using their service stating that you must either pay the $200+ fee or they will send you to collections. When you contact their customer service, you are forced to speak to some imbecile named "Crystal" who shouts over you and tells you that you are required by law to pay these illegal fees.
