I went into The Dump to possibly buy an 8' round rug for my kitchen/dinette table. The last time I was in there the rugs were fairly priced around $200 a year before but this time every rug was priced at $528 handwritten on a tag and supposedly 10% off. I thought this was odd and asked the salesperson to help look through the rugs as all of them couldn't be the same price. Some didn't have hand written prices so I asked what the price was and the salesperson pointed out a code on the tag RPXXX (XXX being three numbers that was the price). I looked back at one that the wife liked and it was RP499 so I said it was $499 and asked the salesperson if that was the price. He exclaimed that $528 was the price so I asked to see the price in the computer. Behold, the computer price in the system was $429 retail before the 10% discount. I asked to see the manager who finally came over in a huff and said the price was $528. I said that it looked like the price had been marked up and them discounted 10% for show. He got all upset and told me to leave his store. I did and found the same rug at Roses for $299. DO NOT shop the Dump because it is....well a rude Dump. BTW, the RP on the tag stands for retail price.....Go figure they always lie about a sale.
