Back on April 3, 2010 my husband and I purchased furniture from "The Dump".  The morning of April 6, 2010 our furniture was to be delivered.  My son was home waiting for the delivery.  They arrived a little after 10am.  While they were backing up the driveway my son told them to stop because the top of their truck was hitting a wire in the driveway.  They just waved at him and told him to move, he was yelling STOP your truck is pulling a wire and its gonna snap.  The 2 guys continued to ignore him.  Sure enough a wire snapped and popped.  Then they stopped and got out and said what was that noise.  My son told them I told you guys and you ignored me.  My son is 20 years old. He is not a little kid.  They laughed at him and told him not to worry about it.  Theysaid it was just a cable wire.  My son was in shock -How they just blew him off and left without calling anybody. They continued to roll the door of the truck up and unload the furniture.  My son said he could not believe that the furniture was not strapped down (which meant the it slid all over the truck during the process of delivery) and it was not even covered with plastic.  They put the furniture on the sidewalk and just left.  My son called me at 10:50am at work to tell me what happened.

I immediately call the Turnersville store-I talked to Dee and explained what happened.  She gave me the number to Customer Service.  I spoke with Levere.  I explained it again.  She told me to call Andy M. the General Manager for the Delivery Company-Again I explained what happened again.  He told me to call Lori R. and she would give me a claim #.  She said to take care of the wire that was down and let her know what it was (We were not sure if it was an electric wire or a phone wire-we knew it was not the cable wire like the men had stated because the cable was still working-I called both companies (phone and electric)  and explained what happened. There was a phone man in the area, he was great he immediately came right over within a half hour. I have a special needs child who was going to be getting off the bus soon and we were worried about the wire. It turns out that it was the phone wire-After a few hours he fixed it). This was only the beginning of our nightmare.

When I looked at the furniture sitting outside and saw that it was not covered with plastic and saw the holes in the sides of it.  I was so upset.  How can a furniture company delivery furniture and not strap it down and not cover it up with plastic.  This was so unprofessional.

We reported the damaged immediately.  We were told someone would call us back to make arrangements for someone to come out and inspect the furniture.  My husband and I work all week.  The Tech that came out only works certain hours of the day, which unforturnatly were in the middle of our work day. They could only narrow the time to 10-3 Monday-Friday.  We could not afford to miss time from work.  We asked if someone could come after 4pm or on a Saturday.  We were told "No".  We had a make a special appointment.  This was so frustrating.  The only appt. available was on June 12th (A Saturday), with a time frame of 9am-12pm.  This is very poor customer service as far as I am concern.

The Tech came out and upon looking at the furniture he found a broken frame on the loveseat, the recliner mechanism was damaged on the loveseat, a hole on the right side.  He told my husband it would cost to much to fix the loveseat, therefore, he was going to recommend a replacement.  The couch had a hole on the right side and he said there was impact damage.  He did say that it could be repaired.  He told my husband that he would submit a claim on Monday morning (June 14th).  He said someone from "The Dump" should call us this week and if we didn't hear from them by Friday, then we should call them.  Of course, nobody called us.

Once again, we are the ones doing all the work.  My husband came home from work on Friday (June 18th) and called the number Andy M. gave me and told me to call him if this was not resolved.  Well, we found out that Andy M. is no longer an employee with the delivery company.  Therefore, my husband spoke with a Bill F. who stated he was the "Director of Operations for "The Dump's Delivery Service.  He then brought up our file to see what was going on.  He told us he would call "The Dump" and call us back.

On Saturday around 4:30pm Bill did call us back only to tell us that somebody from "The Dump" would be contacting us.  My husband no sooner hung up with Bill, when Terricka called us from The Dump's customer service dept. in Texas.  See told us they checked and they do not have that furniture in stock anymore.  Therefore, we would have to reselect from the Turnersville store and we only had 3 weekends to do that. That was so crazy.

We decided to ride up to the store to see what they had in stock.  We saw George the origingal salesperson and we explained our nightmare.  He couldn't not believe it.  He helped us look again.  There was nothing even close to what we had.  This is really frustrating because we had just remodeled our livingroom.  We ordered new blinds from"Blinds to Go", we got new carpet and new curtains.  Everything matched the furniture.  Never dreaming we would have to do all this work.

George the salesperson suggested we talk to another Manager  named Lennie.  We did and we still have not gotton anywhere.  All we want is our damaged furniture fixed and because it will cost "The Dump" more money to fix it then it would to replace it (which they are stating is not available anymore), they don't want to help us.  We paid cash for the furniture.

After not getting anywhere with Lennie,  I decided to email customer service a letter asking for the owner or owners names hoping maybe they would help us.  Of course, they don't like to do that.  A supervisor by the name of Thorton emailed me back stating he would try to help us.  And again, we are still waiting.

It has now been over 4 months and we have not gotton anywhere...Please somebody help us!!! All we want is our furniture fixed.....

Not once has any of the above people called us back.  We have always been the one to call them.  We are told excuse after excuse.  They will get back to us (That never happens).  They were just gonna call us back (Ya right)...

Sincerely yours,
