The Everest Group ripoff, Unethical hiring practices. Saint Louis Missouri

The Everest Group places ads in job placement boards such as monster.com and hotjobs.com. They advertise that they are looking for entry level marketing and account executives. Sallary for the job is stated from $28000 to $35000 a year.

This company calls you after submitting your resume and tells you to come in for an interview wearing business dress. This leads you to believe that it is a real marketing/advertising job. When you reach the second interview, (only if you are not too old) you follow a management trainee to see how the job entails.

The management trainee then drives you to a group of homes and you get out. The daily job that you thought was a real advertising job turns out to be door to door sales. What are you selling?

In this case you are selling Papa John's pizza coupons. Your pay is only commision and depends on how many pizza card coupons you can sell, which happen to be twenty dollars.

For people with a college education and or a family to feed this is a waste of time. I personaly wasted two days of my life not to mention gas and mileage on my car wich is realy expensive this day and age. Not only that I turned down a first interview with a real company because this was my second interview with The Everest Group.

This company lies to potential employess just to get them into their company take their personal information and later to find out that it is only a commission job and you are doing what any girlscout does when she sells cookies. Only the girlscouts probably sell more. They also practice age discrimination since they think older men and women won't be able to walk around neighborhoods in the heat selling products.

In summary, this company lies, age discriminates and also outsources graphic design work to Canada.

Job searches should stay away and major companies should think twice about haveing an unethical business sell their product and damage their valuabe PR points.
