Bought a 18x33 swimming pool from The Great Escape and had their installers install. They came and installed pool on 6/10/09. Had water truck come in next day to put in water. The water truck driver said it looked like the liner was too tight. We started to fill pool slowly as instructed and the liner started to stretch and pull down from the return about 3". They had cut out skimmer and return before any water was put in. (instructions say to wait until water is 3" below skimmer and return to cut them out). We quit filling and called the Great Escape and they said it is normal for liner to stretch. I explained that we now have a hole. They said it was because we used a water truck...(the water truck driver has done this many times and never had liner stretch like that). The Great Escape said to call the installers and let them know. I called Jason from JWR Construction and left a message about our problem and to please call us back. On 6/11/09 I called and left another message with Jason to please call us back. Then I went to the Great Escape store and talked to Luke. He said it was our fault because we used a water truck. He said I need to contact the installers ...I told him i had and that they would not call me back. I told him this is very poor business. I had paid in full the pool and the installation and now no one wants to help me. Luke said he would have someone call me.
Wade(crew leader from installation co.) called and said he was very sorry about what happened and he would call back that night to set up time to come and look at it.
He did not call so the next day 6/13/09, I called and left another message with Jason saying I was waiting for a return call.
On 6/14/09 Wade called and said they would install a liner for free if we bought a new one. We wanted him to come out and see if the one we had could be fixed. He said he would be out that night or the next day to check and would call us to let us know if it could be fixed or not.
It is now 6/18/09 and no one has contacted us about our problem.
I have talked to several people and they have said The Great Escape has done the same thing to them.... They get their money and then they are done with you. So I am still waiting with an empty pool that I have spent LOTS of money on and cannot use!
