March we ordered a 18x33 oval pool from The Great Escape. We were told two weeks pool would be in and we would get a call to come pick it up. two weeks went buy....two months still no pool. Yes it was cold but thats not the point. First installer to come out and measure up area for pool installation was Bo with A1 pool and Deck. He told me what needed to be done and we marked what was needed. He later called me and said we needed to pay for the sand and blocks and the installation of the happy bottom which was 450.00 .I called him several times asking about the pool seeing if he heard anything about the where abouts the pool was. He kept telling me it should be coming in on the next truck. Well it didnt , I would call the Great Escape and nope no pool yet. After all the waitting and trying to line with a escavater to remove a sidewalk and level out the area . We finally got the pool May 14 08. I get a call from store manager telling me that Bo was taken off the installation and This Jason would be doing it. From what Manager stated, Bo has started jobs and not to return to them stealing alot of money from people. So nowJason came out looked at the area and said it wasnt level, and needed to be wider. So we had our escavater come out and fix it . Jason came out on the 21st of May and tell us its not level and he would charge us 300 dollars total to fix it. We went ahead and let him do it according to his specs. They dug deeper down where they really didnt need to and as they did they ran into concrete which was out toward ally way more and we had no knowledge of it being there. So he removed it and charged us an additional 100.00 for ag lyme to fill it in. I took pictures thru the process of putting pool up. Some pictures you can see where no sand or fill was put in and you can fill that when your in the pool the exact place . After it was up and filling , filled as per instructed- fill until dusk dont fill over night. It was filled by hoses. After a few days we could notice a wave in the upright on side of pool it looked kinda funny and everyone that came over noticed it. As days went by it seemed to get worse. You would think the instal;ler would call or check back to see if the pool was ok and no problems. Well I had to call and complain about it before anything would get done. I've contacted the service dept of The Great Escape. I've sent them several emails and received one back from them. I contacted the manufacturer of the pool to , sent them pictures, they even said it was an installation problem which we knew anyway. We just wanted them aware of the kind of installers in this area arte installing there pools, and the stores hiring them. Jason has been out and tried to rock the side of pool to see if the folding in at the bottom of pool wouyld come out. Nope. He told me the water would have to come out. I told him I wasnt going to pay to fill it back up due to the fact our water bills are outrageous. He suggested the blow up pool to save as much as possible. I told him then take two I just want all my water saved. That was june 20 when he came out. They ordered a new upright to fix the wavy one . I called the store to see if it was in Yet on July 9. yes it was in but nooooooo one contacted me on it ! Then I'm told to contact the installer to get it done. Jason was to call me back after I called him that day but has not. As of friday July 11. I'm held up on getting my deck and fencing put up due to error in pool installation . Its a d**n good thing we dont have stricter laws about fencing around pools in our area not that its a good thing but I would be fined and whowould be responsible for that bill? If the installer would have installed properly the first time we wouldnt be raising so much cane. For all you people out there beware of installers dealing with The great escape. Do these guys have a contracter id?
