This presentation sounded so good. My husband and I were sucked in. We made a horrible mistake giving this company out money.

First, we were promised two airline tickets to travel within a year. I filled out all the necessary forms. Well, the process requires that you make 3 choices, 60 days in advance and each choice must be 30 days apart. Long story short, we never got to travel, they kept telling me there were no flights available on my requested dates. I would get online and find flights. We would have flown a night flight if that is all they would give us. We got nothing. I spoke with several people and nothing was done. Finally they sent me a letter telling me I had not filled out the forms completely (I did), that I did not give 30 days between flights , (I did), and that I did not send the processing fee in a US Postal Money Order, well I sent a money order from my bank, ??!!!!!

Second, we were promised two nights lodging. We chose Gatlinburg Tennessee. We went and were very upset to find out that to get those 2 nights paid for we had to sit through another presentation!! The Greatgetaways gave us a coupon for two nights lodging from another travel company that required us to sit through their presentation.

Third, we just planned an extended family vacation with no help from The Greatgetaways. I called them and told them when and where we wanted to go. We were needing lodging for a Thursday through Monday nights. I was told that it would be very difficult to find a broken up week like that. Easier if we would change our travel from Saturday to Saturday. I asked her to please try and to look at surrounding islands (we were going to Gulf Shores). Twenty-four hours later I received an email telling me there was nothing on the beaches to fill my request. She gave me information for lodging 8 miles from beach. Didn't even call in person. Sent an email, how unprofessional.

I decided to look online myself. I found a condo right on the beach, Orange Beach, which is one of the places she said she searched. We reserved the condo with no problems reserving Thursday to Sunday!

Plus, I called the lodging she had suggested, which is 8 miles from the beach. The rate I was quoted was a little less than the Greatgetaways agent quote.

I strongly advise that you do not give these people your money! You can get great deals online without their help.
