" I don't want to see you miss out on this opportunity!! However I am waiting for a reply from 2 other companies about this matter! so I would estimate that you probably only have 2 hours to let me know!!" ( These statements are all lies, and they are delivered by myself and people wearing suits and ties and working in boiler room atmosphere at 600 De Maisonneuve, suite 1700, Montreal, Quebec) another main office is in Chicago.
The professional Con Artist Sales person will then.. often perform what is called " the take away" Whereby they will re-contact the fish! and inform them unfortunatly that the offer is no Longer available!! This is meant to make the prospect feel a sense of Loss and regret about their in-decisiveness!! It works very well.. and the marcus evans-THG Sales Con People are masters at this,, after a little while they will re-connect with the prospect since now they have obtained their direct phone line, and enthusiatically re-pitch them that they are able to shuffle things around so that the offer is still open if they buy Right Now!!!!!! If The prospect buys seats for anyone of these events, they will be paying 100% for a product or event that is worth about 5% of the value and they will be very dissapointed!
" Let the Buyer Beware!!!"
A big part of the Marcus Evans group of companies is " The Global Business Summits Division" This is a very polished sales pitch where the sales person con man-woman, will connect with a cfo,ceo or cio of a company and entice them to reserve a seat at a business summit they are offering,, Usually 12 to 15 months in the future. They will tell the prospect that these summits put suppliers and buyers together, for a few days of forced meetings, to uncover business opportunities.(that may not even be on their radar). The prospect is told that their product or service is in great demand from a majority of the buyers who will be there(lies)
and that they are on a short list of potential suppliers who are lucky enough to have a chance to take part!!( lies )
The prospect will then be told that they have a very short amount of time to make a decision to guarantee there place at the summit before their competition beats them to it (lies)
The prospect will then be told with great sympathy that unfortunatly, their spot has been taken and the opportunity is no longer available ( this is very effective in making the prospect feel a deep sense of loss and regret, they are told that another company, similar to their own, has filled the spot and will reap the rewards of these business meetings!!)
The prospect may then be re-contacted a day or two later and told that they are " in luck!!!" They were able to still get them available seats because the other company is only taking half of the spots and so they have to act right away to guarantee the spots at this summit.
We lie to these people the entire time,,, the prospects are never told which companies will be meeting with them on the buy side, instead they are distracted by the sales con artist into being showed which companies have taken part in the past , and asked " is this not the perfect audience for your products and services?" The prospect is dazzled by a list of big name companies and the thought of getting in front of them! In reality they will be greatly disappointed to arrive to the summit where they will find that they have made a very poor investment and fallen victim to a very smooth talking sales person who wont even be at the summit, and probably not even working for Marcus Evans anymore..
What's even worse is that the prospect usually arrives at the summit after having invested upwards of 100 thousand dollars to find that the buy side audience is made up of companies whom he has never heard of and has no interest in doing business with.. The prospect will usually keep his or her mouth shut to avoid embarrassement about being duped into such a bad investment... this is the secret to why Marcus Evans has prospered for so long!!
I have been with the company on and off for more than a year and I am still working at the Montreal Office,, Myself and some other people from my office left this company, to work for another similar company in Montreal that offered a better paycheck!! but now I'm back here, Most of us are sending out our resumes during lunch to get out of here, but when we come back to the office we act like we love it,, We got to pay the rent,,,somehow, The commission can be good if you get a sale,, so you decide what's best for you.
Everything else that you are reading about this company is true!! They have built a business based on manipulation of information and lies,, the people who work for them, have no scrupels whatsoever and the management is stuctured in a multy level marketing pyramid model,, whereby the manager gets a cut of my sales commissions and the directors get a cut of everyones commissions,,, and so it goes up the Pyramid...
If you are thinking about working for this company or buying from them,, Please don't waste your time..
