The Initiative Cheer and Gymnastics operates in Prosper Texas and is registered with the State under The Initiative LLC and they also run a fradulent non-profit (no 501 (c) (3) status) which is for the owner to fund her lavish lifestyle, bail herself and her boyfriend out of Arlington's jail on 01/05/2013, thus stealing funds earmarked to help obese and impoverished children. The company is being investigated by the Internal Revenue Service, Attorney General's Office, and Child Protective Services.
They take money out of your account (at random times of the month) and then cancel classes after the owner is arrested and jailed, or hung over, or just doesn't want to come to work. No refunds are offered. The children do not learn the skills needed to do well in gymnastics because this company is impatient and incompetent. The owner is a young girl with a filty mouth, lengthy arrest record, and poor customer service skills. I've heard of her behavior around the children from my own kids, and Samantha Serene Dickey is not someone you would want as a role model for your children.
The unlicensed youth camp she ran was investigated and found to be operating illegally. Employees do NOT undergo background checks before working alone with children. Sadly, some Prosper parents have not researched this new organization before sending their children there. I feel compelled to spread what I learned by researching after being the victim of the frauds and schemes carried out by Samantha Serene Dickey and the Initiative Cheer and Gymnastics.
Send your precious children elsewhere for some real quality gymnastics instruction.

There are no current, or past investigations of any kind into The Initiative LLC or The Initiative Scholarship Foundation.
The Initiative Cheer and Gymnastics is a licensed child care facility for school-aged children. This permit can be verfied through the Department of Child Protective Services. Permit Number 1519632

The Initiative Cheer and Gymnastics was not involved in any of these claims.
1. Scholarship Foundation: Filed for 501-c3 status before it began any fundraising effots. However, the IRS is backlogged on these applications and the answer took nearly a year to come in. Before we finished the application process, the scholarhsip foundation was shut down due to low funding. Samantha Dickey used her own funds, nearly $20,000, to run the organizations for the 8 months is was active. All donations were used to pay for the scholarhsip foundation only. We also filed all of our tax documents every quarter and are not being investigated by the IRS for anything. The company paid its final expenses and closed officially December 31,2013. No wages were reports for three quarters of the year. All records for this organization are available for review by authorized parties.
2. The Initiative Cheer and Gymnastics is not being investigated by CPS. A false claim was made against the company and it was proven false by The Department of Family Protective Services. The CPS is for private homes (further validation that the author of this claim is lying). The illegal youth camp claim was also dropped by the state of Texas because The Initiative LLC did not qualify as a youth camp due to the nature of activities and the hours of the camp. The Initiative LLC also now holds a permit from The Department of Family Protective Services for hosting camps and after school programs.
3. No money from the scholarhsip foundation, or the LLC were used for any private endeavors. The Initiative Scholarship Foundation is its own legal entity and was treated as such. The Initiative LLC is a seperate company and its books are ran seperately. Any capital repayments Samantha Dickey receives as owner of The Intiative LLC is handled as a partner draw and is legal under the sole proprietorship LLC statutes in Texas.
4. The Initiative LLC does offer refunds and credits to families who miss class or mis-enroll. Additionally, drafts are only made on the 21st of each month for continued membership.
5. Samantha Dickey does not use any inappropriate language or gestures to children during class and is certified to coach through USAG Gymnastics and the AACCA for cheer. She has coached for more than 8 years at the competitive level and does not have an arrest record of any length.
