The Katy Shopper Deceptive Advertising Ploy that will take your money and run! Katy, Texas

We are a Home Improvements Co. contacted by a Jennifer Duncan representing The Katy Shopper. They claim they are working directly with Remax and that the folders will be distributed. When in fact I contacted Remax directly (which we should've done in the first place) and they informed me that these "Advertising" companies are not affiliated with them and that they just try to sell to real estate companies. They take your "fee" and it is not a guaranteed service or advertisement. In our many attempts to contact them, we get the excuse after excuse for the length of time it is taking (production, etc.). It has been 4 months. We received the following email from one of their "representatives" as an initial contact. 

Hi Mike,
Thank you for taking the time to visit with me today. Again, my name is Jenn, and I'm working with Re/max Llewellyn Realtors in New Jersey. What we're doing is putting together our Re/max Presentation Folders. These are the high enamel, full colored, two pocket folders that the agents give to everyone they come in contact with for the next year (potential sellers, buyers, leasers, etc..).

We are going to be featuring one Home Improvement Company on the inside pockets or backside of these presentation folders with full color 4" x 2" ads. ( see attached sample photo ). 

The complete cost for a spot on the folders is only $399 (one time, flat fee) for a full years posting. We will print and distribute a minimum of 5,000 full color folders over the next 1 year. This includes full Ad and logo design if needed. The artwork/logo becomes property of the advertiser with no royalty fees involved. The one year begins when the the folders arrive from print. * Just a reminder, advertising is 100% tax deductible for business' which is another great reason to reserve your companies exclusive spot.
