Watch out for any company that has ads in the paper for employment if they have alliance in the name in Dallas, Austin, as well as Oklahoma City. The Dallas name is The Alliance Group and they are at 2700 N. Stemmons Freeway Suite 1200. This is a multilevel company and the guy that runs the training company called The Leading Edge is one of the biggest scam artists on the face of the earth. He tries to come off as a family man and that he cares about people. When in reality the main thing he cares about is that people pay at least $259 every month to go to his seminars so they can become rich just like him.

My son was involved with this company for a while and I went to one of his trainings and while he is a good speaker I didnt understand why he would need his downline to pay to see him when he made money off of what they sold every month. He told everyone at the seminar that I was at that his seminar company didn't make any money. They were mostly young kids so I could see why they might buy this. I did my research and found that he made some money off his downline but I also found out it wasn't as much as he says it is. Ask him to show you a copy of his 1099 from the company or his last months check I bet he won't!

I also talked with alot of the young people there and being inquisitive I wanted to know how they were doing. One girl told me that she hadn't made a bonus check yet and she had been involved with the company for 4.5 months but she was sure this month would be huge. My son also showed me who the top people were and one of them even ate lunch with us. At lunch I saw this person ask to borrow money for lunch because they had forgotten their wallet. I knew that was a lie because these people were supposed to be rich and to keep up an image that would never happen.

I also realized this guy is taking advantage of people by charging them every month for a training that my son says is basically the same thing every time. Don't get me wrong it is fun and enertaining but these people are not what they say they are. If anyone reads this please look at the numbers I have put below and understand this man does make money of his trainings and alot of it!

He charges $250 for his trainings and averages from what I was told at least 150 people that attend one of his seminars. At that rate he brings in over $37,000/ mo on trainings. I understand he does have expenses to run the company. All the equipment is owned The sound guy told me and he said it cost over $30,000. If it did he got scammed. He could buy everything for under $15,000 and that is top of the line. That was bought over two years ago when he started the company. He has an office lets say that costs $5,000/ mo. To rent a hotel for the weekend costs max $2,000(I checked) He has a staff of two and their travel expenses, say another $5,000.

Lets just say his company has expenses of $15,000/mo.

$37,000
- $15,000

= $22,000 left over, for not making any money that isn't bad pocket change.

It is time for people to wake up and understand he makes this while other people suffer and scrimp and do whatever it takes because that next training will be the one that sets it up for them. The only one that is being taken care of is him.

I also understand that there are a few T.V. stations that are investigating him and his group and the authorities can't be far behind. I hope this will help at least one person! I know for most people who are in it now won't have their minds changed until it is to late. Thank god my son only went in a little bit.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!

AUTHOR: Kevin - (U.S.A.)

Ok, I am in a company now that uses Marc Accetta as a success trainer. I just went to the first training session two weeks ago. I can tell you that I don't know him personally so I can't speak to his character among acquaintances. I can tell you that he is absolutely the best I have ever seen in person at teaching you how to get the most out of yourself. His training programs are only $300 and $200 after that and then free once you reach a certain level in the company. There are also many other speakers during the event, who I am sure also get paid for doing their parts. This complaint was put here by someone who is mad because what he was taught growing up turned out to be the scam. Get good grades, go to college, get good grades, graduate, go to work for a company for 40 years and retire so you can live on less than you're used to. Sorry, but that doesn't work anymore. How many people are there today who followed that plan and have NO JOB anymore and are losing their homes and suffering from depression and anger because they can't support their families anymore? Been there, done that! It's only going to get worse.

As for Marc, maybe he does have relationship issues and isn't the perfect role model for the sexual purity movement, but he never claimed to be either. That has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with him knowing what he's talking about! How many times have you told your kids not to do something or watch something or say something, and then you turn around and do it yourself? Remember the saying, "Do as I say, not as I do"? How many of you complaining about him leading seminars voted for Bill Clinton for President? Be honest! He couldn't keep it in his pants either, but Democrats just worship ol' Billy boy. He was leading the whole country!!! But of course, I always heard the arguments that his personal life had NOTHING to do with his job. Hmmm???

I would gladly pay $300 every month if I had to in order to keep this teaching fresh in my mind. So if I pay $3600 per year to make myself into a millionaire, that would beat the $15,000 a year to pay for college for 4 years in order to get a job that never got me ahead and then kicked me to the curb when times got tough. So which seems like a better deal to you? Thank you Marc Accetta for the phenominal job you do as a success trainer! I now know it's possible for me to achieve things I never thought I could do before. The fact that this scam post stays here is the real scam.

THIS GUY NEVER CHANGES !!!

AUTHOR: Doug - (U.S.A.)

I was on this board looking for information and saw a name that was familiar, Marc Accetta. I cannot believe this guy is still around and running another scam. I worked with him pretty closely in a company called Equinox. This was back in the early 90's before it got shut down for being an illegal pyramid. I heard he and some others jumped ship before that one blew up and he and some of the other top scammers went and started their own company.

What do you know a few years later and it looks like he is in still another company. It is funny to me that all of these people used to preach five years and you can retire but he is still working after close to 20 years. When I knew him he didnt have kids but he did have a long term girlfriend that he cheated on every chance got and believe me there were alot of chances. How can he call him self a leader when he cant even control his sex drive. I really feel sorry for people that follow this way of doing business because they will look up at some point and realize they have wasted many years following a guy who is only interested in his well being and when he is done with you he will move onto the next sucker.

sales rep

AUTHOR: Claire - (U.S.A.)

I used the think only the best of the Accettas until I recently discovered some very bad news. I have nothing bad to say about the business but to follow Marc Accetta is very dangerous. He is full of poison and ready to strike. Next time you speak to him, ask him about his "relationship" with Billi Stuckert and see if his face can convince you of the truth. Also ask of his "attempted" relationship with Susan Finley. Don't let him fool you about why she really left the business. I doubt Kelly knows any of this and of she does then she must be stronger than I thought because I could never stay with a man who cheats on his wife. Just try to keep it in your pants, Marc.

whatever..... to all those folks that have been ripped off i'm not surprised

AUTHOR: M - (U.S.A.)

to all those folks that have benefitted in some way from those seminars, good for you! to all those folks that have been ripped off i'm not surprised... i went to a seminar once for a pyramid scheme, and it was so flaky, fake and lame! it was comical at first, but then, i got disgusted with the whole thing- and inside i wanted to stare these people down and point the finger. they were so over-enthusiastic and annoying.

they had the contrived personalities of church-members mixed in with motivational speaking. the biggest aspect of the sale from these companies and seminars is the projected presentation of their personalities and personal confidence and happiness. THAT is the main selling point to the sale of anything, not the actual product for these types of businesses.
That is why it disgusts me. When I was at this seminar, I felt instinctively that this whole thing was wrong, and water-thin.

Build up communities and encourage people to find success and strength from within, why should a young person have to pay hundreds of dollars every month to train in sales? it's ALL about sales.

Take that money and use it to learn a trade that you can be proud of selling. not becoming a distributor for some crap people don't really need.

i learned all about sales by actually being a sales employee for some years. all i had to pay for was bus fare and taxes.

Im sorry you only went to one of the trainings

AUTHOR: Charles - (U.S.A.)

To everyone who reads this report, the Leading Edge Trainging Co. is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Just about one year ago I was active in the business and attending the Leading Edge Seminars monthly, at that point in time I was making around $1400 some weeks. Due to college I'm unable to attend the seminars but I'm still working the business part time. To sum things up, again the Leading Edge has tought me more than anyone else in the world. So if you have not been in the business and you have only attended one seminar you have no room to talk. I failed to mention when I was active in the business I was still in high school and attended the seminars every month. Thank you Marc and Kelly for everything.

I am not at all surprised to see that there are people who constantly complain about having to pay for inventory and trainings. I worked with the Accettas for nearly three years and I still know them as close friends. As the saying goes, The best things in life are free... and I agree they are... God, Love, Trust, Respect, and Happiness. However I don't see too many homeless people jumping for joy on the street corners. Don't get me wrong, I don't think money makes a person happy, but I think you get my point.

I know that everyone knows someone who is wealthy whether a celebrity, or maybe even an aquaintance and I'll bet you that they aquired their money either by inheriting it or working in a business that is extremely difficult. Sales, Marketing, Real Estate, Law, Medicine, Stocks, Engineering...all not easy professions and I'll bet that you know how much training is involved in these professions, needless to say the fees and or tuitions involved. So why is network marketing so different and cast such a black shadow?

I believe it is because people are afraid to blame themselves if they fail. The "what if it doesn't work" is too great. It is much easier to blame the Accettas and the Leading Edge and say they charge too much or that they charge at all? So it's your call, work a job til you retire...it doesn't matter to anyone else but you. But don't be dumb...you know specific knowledge costs money.

So, you think you can the same knowledge in a Anthony Robbins book, go ahead and read the thousands of pages and attempt to learn every skill on your own. Doesn't quite work that way, does it? The Accettas are wonderful people who have specific knowledge about how to take control over every aspect of your life...spiritual, financial, social, mental, physical, and etc. If you want to point fingers, point them right back at yourself and think about why you are blaming someone who was trying to answer the question of "What am I going to do with my life to get ahead or even to pay my bills?". It's your problem not theirs.

I don't blame you for being mad if you think you got scammed because unfortunately you did. You've been raised in a society that has taught you to work hard for a living and just hard enough to not get fired. And they are absolutely right, if you believe that then you are better off working as a secretary or car mechanic or some other average job. I'm sorry my friend, but there is little hope for you to get ahead. Maybe the lotto will favor you next time. The information provided by the Leading Edge is way beyond your comprehension. I don't say that to be mean but if you don't understand why you have to pay for the info then just don't and move on. Simple.

I would go to battle with the Accettas til the end and ultimately only God is our Judge. I hope your life is blessed and you one day do find an oppurtunity that will let you in.

MARC WHO?

AUTHOR: MLM - (U.S.A.)

Im responding to the Kimberly's message about Marc Accetta. 1st of all you mention that wouldnt people go pay to hear Zig Ziglar train? Of course we would. You can attend a Zig Ziglar event cheaper than you can a Leading Edge Event.I hear now that Marc is charging his people between $500.00-the latest one $1,000.00 dollars per month, per seminar. The thing about it is, you claim he is the best. I know he does teach good things, but its nothing new. All he is doing is up there teaching "the wisdom of the ages" I can do that, anyone can do that. The thing is, Marc Accetta is a NO-NAME in this industry. If you look him up on the internet, all you find is him in trouble with Equinox, and Trek Alliance. Where will he end up next? Cant you see, all he is doing is taking his group from company to company to make a ton of money up front til things get rough, then he bails. He has a young group of people that works for him (i bet they get a paycheck from him, not a comission check from the company) and he has manipulated them. Why doesnt he have older adults? Cause they arent stupid. I can get ALL the training i want in MLM from the best people in the industry, for ALOT less than what Marc Accetta charges for his group, over and over each month. Who would you rather pay to listen to? Great minds of MLM, or some NO NAME that claims to be a GURU??? GO FIGURE!!! If you dont like my response, please do me a favor and pull up a search engine and type in Marc Accetta, and tell me anything GOOD that you find he is linked to, and tell me ANYTHING in MLM he has done that is soooo remarkable.

To pay a desk-space (padding his pockets) for me to fight rush hour traffic and work a JOB???? WHY DO THAT???? THAT IS NOT WHAT MLM IS!!!!!! All he is doing is creating a "salesman" mentality to his people. MLM is designed for the average person to work hard for 3-5 years, and RETIRE with residual income. Not paying desk space rent, building rent and working in a office everyday from 9-5. He is doing stuff that NSA did back in the 80's.... old stuff....... That is not MLM, that is a normal J-O-B!!!!!!! The Leading Edge are offering "JOBS" to people, instead of an opportunity to get rid of a J-O-B!! I have connections in this industry, and either A) no one has heard of Big Guru Marc Accetta or B) yeah they have heard of him, but it is usually in the remarks of " yeah i know him, isnt he that crook that left Equinox or made Trek Alliance bomb?"

Kimberly,

Just listening to a shill spout makes me tired all over. I notice you made no money either. The hallmark of a shill: answering with questions and quotes and the he/she cares about the people nonsenseHitler cared about the people too.

#18 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Why judge Marc Acetta for understanding the true benefits of capitalism? Wouldn't you pay to learn from Donald Trump, Michael Jordan, or Bill Gates?

AUTHOR: Kimberly - (U.S.A.)

I worked with Marc Accetta as a distributor for over two years. I attended seminar after seminar (dozens) about how to sell, recruit, and develop a salesteam. I also paid for each and every seminar.

Let me ask you some basic questions. How many times did you repeat your times tables before having them memorized? Repetition is the mother of all learning. Why is it more expensive to attend Harvard than a local community college? Because the level of teaching is higher in quality. How many beginning law students go on to graduate and practice law? Let me help you- not all of them, or even most. Would you pay more attention to ANYTHING you've paid for versus what's free? Think about the first car you actually paid for with hard earned money.

It's been over 5 years since I worked in network marketing with Marc Accetta's salesteam. Since then, I've gone on in to a successful career in another sales field. Did I become wealthy in network marketing? No, I didn't. I did, however, learn more about becoming a entrepreneur and how to earn profits than I ever could from my parents or school teachers. My parents and teachers are good people, but they've not earned millions of dollars in order to show me how to do the same. What I learned from Accetta's training is invaluable. These areas include how to negotiate, close sales, recruit and manage people- I could go on and on about what I've learned as a result of trainings like the one Martin's son attended. Most importantly, I learned to value of persistancy and overcoming objections. I also had a choice each time I invested in a seminar- as did every other person there.

You may've heard the expression, "Those who can- do. Those who can't- teach." This situation is the exception to the rule. Do you I am so grateful that I was able to learn what a true sales professional what he had done in his career to achieve financial success. That's not a debatable issue-- Marc Accetta has had trmrndous success at an early age. Where else can you go and learn from one of the best? There's not a day that goes by in my current career that I don't apply and use the teachings from the seminars I attended from 1995-1997.

Does Zig Ziglar charge to hear him teach about sales techniques? You bet he does, because his time is valuable. I don't see how this situation is any different. If you wanted to become an excellent football coach, wouldn't you pay more to hear Don Shula speak than the local high school coach?

To judge whether Accetta is a "family man who cares about people" or a man who "does make money from his trainings" isn't fair. Why can't he be both? He is an excellent trainer who profits from his talents. Let's hope we can all profit from our talents as well.
