We hired the Mortgage Law Group out of Chicago, Illinois to represent us in a loan modification on our mortgage on January 5, 2012. We were assured by a Mr. Leon that the company would not take our case if they did not believe that we would get a modification. He sent us an email that showed how the lending companies acted on behalf of themselves and could not be trusted. We were told not to talk to or pay our lender, but we were to send payments to them. That was seven months ago. They have taken at least $6000.00 from us and on the 15th of August we were told that our modification was denied. We are still in foreclosure and now we are involved with a goverment agency who is very interested in the behaviors of this group. We often tried to get in touch with the attorney that was assigned to us. We never did speak to him. They were unresponsive to email and phone calls. They would not give names or numbers of people to contact within the company. When I did speak to one their members, he let me know that we didn't mean anything to anyone and that it would be easy to lose our documents if the person we were talking to didn't like our tone. Long story short, they took our money and did nothing to modify our loan. Buyer be ware!
