I bought the neat scanner back in September liked the product. Therefore, after the 30 day trial was over I agreed to the payment arrangement of 4 payments of $44.95. The Neat Company has been taking the $44.95 from my credit card every month as agreed. Then the first week of November I receive a letter in the mail saying the I still owed full price and my account was in rears, I tried contacting the company and was on hold for well over an hour I hung up and figured this was an error on their part and it would just go away, within a week of receiving the letter I received a phone call telling me I needed to contact the company immediately I was in rears with my account. Again I tried contacting the company again I was on hold forever and never got to speak with anyone. I tried a few days later finally spoke with someone at the company explained to them about the letter and the phone call, the girl said that there were several letters that went out by mistake and my account was in good standing not to worry.
Two weeks later I receive another letter in the mail, I called the company again after half hour on hold I got to speak with someone and I was told the same thing letters went out in error, I explained this was harassment and it needed to STOP! With twenty minutes of speaking to this person I received a phone call saying I need to contact the company immediately! I called again after forty five minutes on hold I get a person, I am mad at this time and before I could say anything the girl ask me if I had received any letters from them, I said that I had received two letters and two phone calls as a matter of fact I had just called there and with twenty minutes of calling them I had received another phone call. The girl tried to again explain about the letters going out in error I told her not my problem and I was going to contact a lawyer this was harassment and I did not appreciate it one bit! I ask to speak with her supervisor she said they were out for the day, (Sure they are) so I ask to speak to the supervisor's supervisor the girl transferred the call, I got a voice message so I explained what I was happening and ask for her to call me back. I have not yet to hear back!
This is wrong for this company to harass people that pay their bills on time, I could understand this if I was not paying as agreed but I am they need to check themselves and the people that work for them, there is no excuse for letters of this sort going out to individuals like this, I am checking into sending the scanner back if they want to do this crap to me I don't need their product. Therefore the company wants to accuse me of not paying my bill with them they can loss a $200.00 sell I really don't care!
