After an investigation by Rip-off Report, we found that Blue World Pools is actively resolving complaints and addresses contractor issues. The Pool Depot/global Sun Pools ripoff...very poor consumer relations Atlanta Georgia

my mother purchased a pool from them 2 years ago. the cost of the pool was around $7000. ever since then, we have had nothing but harrassement from this company when we call to complain about their product. i wish i had known about this website before she made the purchase.

in april 2004, we ordered a new ionizer chamber for this pool. they billed it to her credit card. the pool was not staying clean like it should have. i found some wires that had come apart, so we called our electrician to come take a look at it. the problem was the transformer that is attached to the ionizer.

on june 2nd, i called global sun pools in atlanta and talked to mr. jim harris and told him we needed a new transformer. it was sent out. a day after we received the transformer, we also received another ionizer chamber. the electrician came back out to install the transformer. when he took it out of the package, the wires were cut into two pieces. we called global sun pools again to inform them of this problem. with it being a saturday, there was nothing they could do about it.

something told me on monday to call the credit card company and see what exactly global sun pools billed onto my mothers credit card. good thing i did. not only did they bill her for the $79 transformer, they also billed her for the $179 ionizer chamber. keep in mind global sun pools was not authorized to charge the second ionizer to her credit card!!! i had then imformed the credit card company that no more billings from the pool depot/global sun pools was to be put on the credit card.

i turned around and called global sun pools to let them know of this. i talked to mr. jim harris, who is supposedly the owner of this company, and tried to explain the situation to him.

after just a couple of minutes on the phone, he started yelling at me like i was a two year old child. he told me that his company does not do unauthorized billings. i then asked him "why would i order a new ionizer chamber in june, when i just ordered one in april?" he could not give me an answer except for "you are a damn liar." needless to say, my blood pressure had shot up tremendously and all i could do was hang the phone up on him.

i have returned both parts for this pool to him via certified/registered mail, along with a letter to him.

when the salesman came to our home to sell us the pool, he told us that we could only get parts for this pool directly from global sun pools. that is a lie.

this is not the first time we have been treated this way by this company or mr. jim harris, but this is the straw that final broke the camels back as far as doing any kind of business with these people. i wish i would've known about this website before my mother bought this pool.

first, i would like to thank the people who have gotten in contact with me regarding global-sun pools. i have misplaced your email addresses and do apologize for this.



second, i did place a complaint with the bbb (better business bureau)of atlanta regarding my treatment from mr. jim harris and global-sun pools. i had recieved a letter from the bbb. in this letter was a copy of the response that was sent to them from global-sun pools. come to find out, mr. jim harris is not the owner as he had stated to me in the past. the letter was signed by a mr. john carbone, vice president. in it mr. carbone says "i spoke with mr. harris concerning this matter and he assures me that at no time during his conversation with ms. michael did he use any type of foul language." just another lie from an employee of global-sun pools and that is all mr. jim harris is, an employee.



third, i had jsut called global-sun pools regarding the pool we had purchased. it just so happens that global-sun pools is now doing business as "blue world pools". also, another coincidence is that the person i talked with today happened to be mr. jim harris. yes, he does remember me and he was very polite while speaking with me. that is no consolation for the way global-sun pools has treated my mother and i.
