The Pool Guyz may be the best at providing a the best fiberglass pool in the market, but their bussiness practice in my opinion is by far the worst i have ever encountered.

My family and I purchased a $40,000 pool from the Pool Guyz and we were told that at the very least we would be swimming by June 1, 2013. Once we sign the contract and gave down payment everything seems fine until the delay started. It took them about three week to get to the house just to mark the property, once they got there, they rushed through the marking and when i told them that i wanted my wife to see it before making it with paint they showed displeasure. The next day or so i was told that my pool installation was going to be dalay for a week but not worry because they were going to be sure it was going to be on schedule. The pool got in the grown in mid May 2013, The plumber quit the job after two days or so delaying the installation even further.

At this point i had already pay full amount as agreed in the contract, specially after i was told that pool installation will stop if i didnt make final payment. My neighbor's  driveway got damage and they haven't fix as agreed after driving their semi while backing the pool. I have sand everywhere and trash they are yet to come and pick up. Once i cleared that s**t I was told that i was eight in line for concrete, At this point i am WTF! Call after call no help what so ever.

Pool pump running for weeks with no chemicals water green as hell, i though i had the most expensive frog and turtle pond in the neighborhood. One of their former employee told me that they go through so many employee due to their poor management and business practice. I always had to initiate the calls and very seldom i got good or timely status updates. The CEO was nowhere to be found and i was told that he was on vacation while all customers waiting on their pools are left to suffer. My pool is yet to be clean, their trash is yet to be pick-up and when they finally put my privacy fence back up they did such a poor job a three year old could have done better after a weekend workshop at home depot.

While viking product may be the best, these guys are not the company you should consider and while not everyone was at fault or responsible there are those that in my opinion turned their face away. They care more about your money than your satisfaction. Avoid paying in full until final product is 0 finished!

Mr. Esteban

AUTHOR: The Pool Guyz - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, July 10, 2013

The original contract was signed April 20th for work to be started the week of May 13th. The customer was informed, that if work commenced on that day, June 1st was a real possibility to be swimming. However, our contracts have a month duration, and the customer signed knowing that all work may not be completed by the June 1st date.  Unfortunately, due to the weather in the spring, the project did not start until May 20th. We had torrential downpours that entire week, but still worked through the storms, and all of Memorial Day weekend to get the first stage of the install completed. The next two weeks were a combination of rain, and dealing with the customer’s coordination of schedule. Since the customer wanted to be present for all work, and was not available on certain days, that made it very difficult to schedule, especially when the weather was unpredictable, and electricians cannot complete work in that environment. The Pool Guyz sales team was in communication with the customer in various methods. In office visits, cell phones, email, text, and personal cell phone. The only dispatched communication between the customer and our company was when the customer called a personal cell phone numerous times while that phone was not being carried. We repeatedly asked the customer if they had any questions, no matter the time of day, to call one of the many, company provided numbers. During this time, the customer made threats and used intimidation to try and get the work done faster which is highly unnecessary, we pride ourselves in providing not only the highest of quality product, but to do so in a timely manner.

There was small company turnover with one of our laborers; however that had no effect on the job. In fact, the customer tried to hire one of the former employees to pour the concrete as a side job, and paid that former employee who ended up just taking the money. This delayed The Pool Guyz from pouring the contracted amount of concrete, along with coordinating the customer’s availability, and Mother Nature, for a week’s time. The work was completed a week after the contracted date, and the customer’s pool had the diving board, and company indoc done two weeks thereafter. I can assure you The Pool Guyz as a company, have one goal in mind, and that is customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, in June alone, 15 of the 30days had rain according to the weather almanac. This is where the majority of the problem aroused; it certainly was not from our payment structure, nor company turnover. The fence was put back up at a moment’s notice by the demands of the customer, only to be taken down in the next few days, because another contractor was hired for additional concrete. That concrete still has not been poured two weeks after, noticed by our Operation and Sales manager, who went by the home for a follow up on Saturday, July 6th.

The entire team at The Pool Guyz would like to express our gratitude, and thank Esteban and his family for the opportunity to perform the build. Customer relations are very important, as is choosing the right builder with any home improvement project. You can feel comfort in selecting The Pool Guyz as your dream backyard builder; we will not stop until we have 100% satisfaction. This level of persistence, coupled with the most knowledgeable team of employees, has led The Pool Guyz to be one of the premier pool builders in the country. Thank you for your time, if you have any questions or comments, please contact one of our offices, we would be grateful to hear from you.
