I am a for hire business consultant brought into business to help stream line there operations and increase there profitability. I was recently hired to help upgrade a business and besides difficulty with Valley Forge Tape and label that I submitted a rip off report on, the business hirede The Protection Bureau to install a security system.  The installer actually had the nerve to try and talk my client out of usuing The Protection Business and use his own company Shady Hill Security or something like that to sell him a security system.  I don't know if this was The Protection Bureau doing a bait and switch or if this installer was trying to bite the hand that feeds him, but it was unprofessional all around. Anytime a employee does this you should call the dispatacher to see if it is legit.

these security systems are worthless if there is a big storm and the power goes out or if they cut the phone lines or you are in a area with bad cell service.  They all use the same equipment you can buy really cheap online that doesn't do no good anyway.

Avoid Tricky Home Security and Alarm System Scams

AUTHOR: TEveler - ()

Unfortunately, like most popular industries and products in today’s market, the home security and alarm system market has become susceptible to scams. Often the scams are the result of a pushy door-to-door salesperson attempting to persuade residents to purchase lengthy and deceptive contracts or faulty equipment. Most at-risk to fall victim to these scams are elderly people, who are concerned about home security and often live alone, but anyone can become part of an alarm company scam.

According to AlarmSystemReport.com, a site providing home alarm system reviews of the best alarm systems, there are a number of steps residents can take to being the target of a scam.

1.    Know the signs that a scam may be taking place. Often scam artists are door-to-door salespeople, who seem pushy and are offering free upgrades to existing, products and services. They also often claim that a homeowner’s current alarm company has gone out of business, or the person may even claim to be from a homeowner’s current home alarm system company, there to replace existing equipment. All of these claims should be a red flag to residents. If an existing alarm company has gone out of business, the customer will be notified in writing, not by a door-to-door salesperson.

2.    Always ask salespeople for identification, especially before allowing them into your home. A legitimate representative of an alarm company will have proper identification.

3.    Research the reputation of alarm companies prior to making a purchasing decision. It’s often best to go with a big, recognizable security name, such as Lifeshield Security or Vivint Security. There is less of a chance of being taken by a scam with a well-known brand name company. It’s also wise to do substantial research, in the form of a website offering reviews such as AlarmSystemReport.com, or through word-of-mouth recommendations.

4.    Thoroughly read and understand all contracts before making a commitment. Wordy contracts and tricky language often go overlooked, but a security system contract can contain a number of provisions that end up being very costly for a consumer. Provisions of the contract a consumer should pay particularly close attention to include: installation price, monthly or quarterly monitoring fees, length of contract period, any applicable discounts, and an explanation of what happens if the customer opts to cancel service and cancellation forms. The contract should also contain, in writing, any oral promises made by the salesperson or company representative.

5.    Don’t be pressured by a pushy salesperson. A salesperson from a reputable company likely won’t be pushy or try to claim an offer is for a limited time only. This may be a warning sign that the person is pushing a scam. Consumers should make a decision based on all of the facts and offerings of the company, rather than a hasty decision based on a limited-time offer that may seem too good to be true.

fear monger

AUTHOR: StopTheHate - ()

Security companies are fear mongers.  Making you feel unsafe in your home so they can charge you every month for them to call the police instead of you insuring a longer delay.  Fear mongers get $$$ from scare tactics so what a surprise that they steal bsiness from each other.  They are all scumbags and should rot in hell like the insurance companies the worthless lowlife scum.

Home Security Home Alarm Company takes advantage of 78 yr old man. $2000 to cancel a bate and switch contract

AUTHOR: Cavaletti - ()

Signed up for a new contract withhttp://elitehomesecurity.co after their door-to-door sales person promised to provide services such as free repairs to their equipment and low fees.  The sales person was a very good sales person and it seemed clear this company was better than the company used in past.

There was a problem with the equipment installed and called customer service.  They said that almost nothing the sales person said would be honored.  The customer service person was absolutely terrible and taunted the fact that the contract should not have been signed without reading it all and said that it would be $2000 to cancel the contract.  Customer service person made fun of not knowing what was in the contract.

The section of the contract that denied everything the sales person said is barely legible for a normal person much less a 78 year old man.  After some magnification, the contract actually does contradict everything the sales person promised.

It has only been 20 days and can't believe the bad situation.  More money for the worst service.  Sick, sick, sick about this bad decision.  Now they have access to bank account and will take money for the next 5 years.  Can't afford to cancel.

Found that Ben Edstrom is or was the CEO.  Ben Edstrom, if still with the company should be ashamed.  Taking money out of the pockets of the elderly and taking advantage of their naivety.  Also, making fun of the elderly for not being able to read the small print of your contracts and being taken advantage of by your sales people is wrong.  Just wrong.  It seems clear you are making money by tricking people.  Are you proud of that Ben Edstrom?  Are you proud that you can only offer a service that requires a five year contract or $2000 to cancel?

You probably tell yourself that it's okay because the equipment was free and you need to recoup the costs.  You used the same equipment from the other company except one part.  Take it back.  Utah business men have a bad name because of tactics like the ones your company uses.

It seems obvious that you are another company taking advantage of the disadvantaged to line your pockets.  Do the right thing. Take the equipment back and cancel the contract.  If not, will let grandchildren know and they will get the story out that wrong was done.

I purchased 3 vouchers for 3-hour cleaning services by Pro Master for $59 each, quoted to be worth $150 each; this was a lie since the service was later quoted at $100. I have used many cleaning services, but I have never experienced such horrific, egregious and ongoing problems as I had with Pro Master!

First, you must schedule your services via their electronic system rather than talking with a human being. I tried to schedule an appointment on their system 10 days in advance and received an acknowledgement but never received any follow up. The day before my requested cleaning I sent a follow up email; again I received an acknowledgement stating they’d contact me as soon as possible. I called their phone number and left a message; nobody bothered to return my call. 6 days AFTER my requested appointment date I finally received an email stating that were unable to accommodate my request – Hellooo – I think I figured that out already!

Unbelievably, they went on to say: “However, for a limited time, we might be able to accommodate your request for the following dates (4 dates more than a month later)! I should have demanded a refund but I went ahead and chose the first available date - a Friday the day before I was having house guests. I received an email confirming the services but I was expected to be available all day as they would not provide a window of time until “no later than 24 hours prior to service scheduled date.” The day before the scheduled cleaning they sent an email at 6:40 PM telling me they’d arrive between 4-6PM. NOT EXACTLY 24 HOURS ADVANCED NOTICE ! Nonetheless I arranged my schedule to be available at the cleaning service’s convenience.

On the day of cleaning at about 3PM I received a phone call from Neylor who speaks extremely poor English and was almost impossible to understand. Neylor told me that the cleaning crew may not be able to make the appointment because they were in a “car accident.” I was very suspicious in light of the horrible customer service and communication issues I’d previously experienced. I told Neylor how disappointed I was with their communication and how I’d not received any response to my emails or phone calls.

He made some excuse about a change in personnel. He assured me that they’d make up for it by providing outstanding cleaning service. Shouldn’t they provide that anyway?? Neylor said if they had to cancel I’d get another electronic message letting me know. I was incensed at this point and told him I was having company the next day and needed the cleaning service – could he send another crew out Saturday morning? No, of course could not - he’d send out a crew at his convenience the following week!

Sure enough, at 5:39 PM they canceled the service leaving me at the last minute on a Friday night before having guests to clean my house myself! I was offered no compensation for this inconvenience. I had no choice but to rely on them to reschedule the service yet again! This time Neylor at least made the appointment himself. I told him the crew needed to be out of my house no later than 5PM that day because I had to leave. He agreed to schedule the service for between 3–4PM. He said I’d receive an electronic message with a time window, but said I could ignore it as he’d be sure they would be there by 4PM.

On day of scheduled cleaning the crew arrived at 4:30PM without even calling me about the delay! Thanks to their tardiness, I was once again inconvenienced and had to inconvenience others since I could not leave my house at 5PM as scheduled! The crew leader also tried to tell me that the crew of 3 would be spending a total of 45 minutes cleaning (for a total of 2.25 man-hours) rather than the 3 hours that I’d paid for! I managed to convince her of her error. The cleaning job was mediocre; I have had far better from other services.

I had 2 remaining vouchers so again tried to schedule the next cleaning – yes, I’m either really cheap or a glutton for punishment! Again found a huge deficit in availability and was unable to schedule another appointment until over 6 weeks later! Again, they could not give me a time window until “no later than 24 hours prior to servicescheduled date. Day before service at 7:39 pm I received a final ETA notification of 4-6PM. Once again, this is NOT 24 HOUR NOTICE! 18 minutes later I received another email giving me an ETA of 8-9AM! I called the service and left a message asking what was going on and telling them that this was NOT acceptable.

At 9:19 AM on day of service Neylor sent me an email apologizing for the confusion and cancelling the service altogether leaving me once again to clean my own house at the last minute! Unbelievable! How these people stay in business is beyond my comprehension! Do yourselves a favor and AVOID PRO MASTER!

SCAM FEES THIEVERY

AUTHOR: Rolling Papers - ()

These ATM machines that charge you a $2.50 is the biggest scam out there.  When you are taking out $5 or $10 thats a big chunk of what you are withdrawing.  These stores refuse to take debit cards so you have to use the ATM and they make even even more money.

Just saw a Horizon Services commercial on TV.  They do plumbing and heating and ac work.  The commercial said they do background checks on their people and drug test them regularly.  Messed up that a plumbing/heating/AC place checks out their people better than a security company.

DO NOT FALL FOR THE SCAM!! SCUM STEALING PEOPLES MONEY!

AUTHOR: kol - ()

I ordered Cleans FX and Pure Garnicia in the light of helping my spacial needs daughter with her weight issues. I saw the add posted on Facebook connected to the Dr. Oz sight. It was a free trial that I only had to pay shipping for. One product was $3.95 shipping and the other was $4.95 shipping. This was a 14 day free trial and if you did not want to continue using the product, you could cancel. On the 13th day of my trial, I noticed my bank account had been jacked for $180 from these 2 companies.

I immediately called them both to find out what I was being charged for. They told me I was being charged for my next shipment. My next shipment? I didn't ask for another shipment and I am not even on my 14th day of my trial. I then told them to cancel the order and take me off their mailing list, asking them for a full refund. They tried talking me into keeping the product and they would give me $80 back and I could use the product. I told them NO I wanted a full refund and I would send back both products unopened!

After pulling teeth for a full refund, they gave me all the information I needed to return the products. They told me to make sure I put all of the return information on the outside of the return shipping package. It included the order number and a return merchandise authorization number. I did exactly that and took them to the post office for return. It cost me $10 for my return, but I was okay with that thinking I would in turn get my $180 back that they stole to begin with. I did not sign a contract with them, so how dare they take money they are not authorized to do!!

I was told return processing would take up to 2 weeks and then it would 48 hours after that, that I would receive my refund. Well, it has been 3 weeks now. Still NO refund and anyone I talk to says, they do not know if the product reached the processing department. So, I called my local Post Office of which I sent the products from, to find out if there was any way they could see if the product was received. The woman I was on the phone with said, " Oh my, you are not the only one having this issue with this company." Her and her husbnad and about 500 or so more people are also having the same issue!! This company has stolen money! Yes STOLEN money right from our bank accounts!! Someone needs to do something about this! I am thinking it wont look pretty for 500 plus people showing up at 12399 Belcher Rd suite# 150 Largo Florida 33773!!

This is an absolute crime. Had I or any other person stole money, we would be sitting in jail! This needs to be stopped and the money needs to returned to our bank accounts!!

Geek-Tech Tool Box credit card fraud

AUTHOR: givingup - ()

On september 18, 2013 I attempted to purchase what I thought was a legitimate software utility program called the GEEK-TECH TOOL Box. After obtaining my credit card number and charging my account $29.97 this fraudalent company told me to download the product. The company then fraudulantly signed me up for a ripoff automatic renewal for six months. This purchase was never meant to be a subscription program and never described as such. The company then automatically downloaded about 15 malware programs to my computer which were impossible to remove.

I had to buy a new hard drive and reinstall all my software to get back on line. The Geek-Tech tool box web site never ever download a program called the Geek Tech Tool Box to my computer. The web site is now inaccessible by E-Mail, telephone or mail because they have no valid address or telephone number. They probably do not have a valid business license. The company uses an account processing service called SAFECARD which equally quilty of aiding and abetting this on going cyber crime. The DOJ says they work only to protect big banks in support of the supreme court, the white and the US congress an that individual s have no legal rights or recourse. The DOJ the FBI, and our 6 trillion dollars intelligence empire are working very hard to insure the Global PolyMegOpoly will enslave the entire world. They already have control over all the world governments. The destruction of civilization and the murder of six billion people by the year 2100 is underway. The attack is to kill people financially, confiscate their property, then use their thrre million man goon squad to murder and incinerat the homeless bodies. I am not a nut case, I have 36 years of governmrnt and military service. The people of the united states or any other country never ever had a democracy, a representive government, or socialist or communist government.  These are made up buz words to incite discord and foment war among people. The rich traders (dictators) have always ruled over the slaves who now number about 8 billion. I do not expect that this report will have any effect on the situation since treason is now the order of the day. There are no lawyers anywhere that have the courage to buck the system.

RVTL & Equinox Charged my card for undisclosed foreign fee as well as BEFORE trial period was over

AUTHOR: Forex - ()

Saw online ad for FREE product. Only have to pay shipping. I received the RVTL immediately. Like, three days later.

The Equinox was still not here after almost two weeks. Phone company to ask for status on delivery because I had not received.  I actually thought that maybe my order didn't actually go through when I ordered the second free product.  They located my order information and advised that the Equinox was on its way and they said, "Not to worry, Mam, we will extend your trial period."  I thanked them for that.  I didn't even have to ask first.

Well, three days later I receive the Equinox and my credit card is charged for it.  My complaint is if you are going to give someone a trial period, the product has to be in the customer's possession for that trial period.  It should not be from the date of purchase.  When I called them I couldn't believe what they said!  They said to me that I didn't ask them to extend the trial period and that is why my card was charged.  I told them that I didn't have to ask because you offered it to me first.  Had I known they were being slick with their words.

I should have known by the accents!!! I guess what THEY meant by extending the trial period is we will allow for two more days for it to hit your doorstep and then we will charge your card.  VERY SNEAKY.   I went off on the guy and told him so.  I asked at that point to cancel my subscription and got confirmations numbers from him and demanded an email confirmation of that conversation.  I did get that but am still worried that somehow I have been fooled again by tricky language and they will send product and charge my card again.  I am keeping an eye out.

Sprint Customer service is a JOKE

AUTHOR: PHL6 - ()

Their customer service is lacking something so obvious... customer service.  I have requested a call back from a supervisor for 2 weeks.  I have requested it 3 times so far.  I think I've done my fair share, and I have since cancelled my lines.  Now they are trying to say that I needed to cancel before my billing close date, yet after a specific unmentioned date.  Now I have a $20 higher ETF for one line... yet I bought both on the same day.  WTF right?  They are so lost in their craziness, they are a lost cause.  Buy a goPhone for something else... Don't get suckered into this pathetic company.

Profits over Customer Safety

AUTHOR: Greg - ()

On January 19th 2014 My wife and I hit a curb which popped the sidewall of our right side rear tire. This was on a  Sunday.   We pulled into the nearest tire place "a Midas on Ogontz ave in Cheltenham, Pa".  They replaced the tire and even asked if we had a road hazard warranty with them.  We don't have road hazard with Midas, its with you ( Tire's ETC.).  For our convenience and Safety, we opted to buy Midas full size tire.  There was a polar vortex storm headed our way and the last time we needed a replacement you had to order it. We didn't want to risk having to wait again.  We took the damaged tire back to the Tires ETC where we bought it in Clifton Height for a simple exchange under the road hazard warranty.  This was not simple.

The tire was a few months old with only a couple thousand miles on it.   What we wanted to do was to exchange the tire (not a refund).  We would keep it since we have had so many issues with these tires.  We have now had two replaced and multiple repairs which you cant even find records for.  The male manager and service manager both were very, very rude and ganged up on my wife.  This has been our prior experience at this location.  I have been to this location three times for service and dealt with Kim.  Kim has always been professional and courteous .  I have also had the displeasure of dealing with your manager.  He is not a good person and in the wrong field.  His only focus was that we should have put on the mini drove from Cheltenham back to Clifton Heights to get him to fix it.  He claimed we had to have him dismount, remount and balance and that we had to buy road hazard again.  That's crap.
Your manager is more concerned with getting a few bucks in a mount and balance and road hazard over the convenience and SAFETY of his customers.   He claimed he can only warranty a tire on a rim.  he went further to say it was Continental problem now.. I bought the tires from Tires Etc not Continental.   We went back to a Midas just down the road in Springfield they removed the new tire and refunded it less the mount and balance fee under a ride guarantee policy.      Since I was unavailable they even dropped off the blown tire which they mounted on the rim and even drove it back and dropped it  off at your Clifton Height store.  The next day I called to see if it was ready.  It wasn't ready.  That's crazy.  Did you forget you had it?  I told Kim I would be there in about 15 minutes.  I arrived and it wasn't ready.  I could hear the manager mutter under his breath about it.  I feel he purposely delayed the entire ordeal.  I waited 40 minutes longer and my car which was snow free from driving was completely covered and never even made it in a bay.

I asked Kim to just give me the tire and I would carry it out.  She did as I asked.  I handed her a coupon and told her I did NOT want additional road hazard as I have grown to hate the management staff at this location.  She refused to accept the coupon as a matter of policy with the manager next to her agreeing.  She was in no way rude, she stated policy as facts as she believed them to be.  Not everything you are told is right and not everything you are used to doing a particular way is the right way.  I asked for a written road hazard booklet, she had none.  That was convenient.  She also refused the coupon as a matter of policy as well.  Road hazard is NOT a coupon or even a discount, but a credit.  The coupon should not have been rejected and I should not have had to purchase a product I do NOT want.  I understand I had to pay Midas for their labor for the convenience of trying their tire.  That was fair.  Your company is and will drive away business.  I intend on sharing my thoughts via facebook, yahoo. yelp, google, rip off report, and twitter if you do not respond appropriately.  I expect a refund on the road hazard and the difference of the mounting and balancing.  Personally I think you should give me back the $20 I paid Midas too.  I would have had them dismount a prefectly good tire if you manager was so abstinent.

P.S. My original reciepts says DOT #'s not on file.  Two of my tires are original.  Is it possible they were recalled and I was not notified because they were not recorded properly.  That is a safety concern.  Should I contact the NHTSA.  I hope you have them on file somewhere as it is a $10,000 fine per concurrence.  I am a concerned  consumer.  Management and customer service takes a strong person who does not make careless mistakes and can see customer concerns from more than one angle.  You manager had NO right to tell me how to feel and whether or not I should be happy.

FRAUD

AUTHOR: GoDaddySux - ()

I bought a Go Daddy package that included web hosting and 5 email accounts. I am using this for my business. The emails accounts that I set up do not work. Everytime I call, the tech support person says that the email that they have me set up with is substandard. That it doesn't always work unfortunately. They also said that if I want emails that work, I have to pay an additional $50 each, for a total $300 should I get my 5 FREE emails that came with my initial package. This is a complete bait and switch, and should be illegal if it's not. I am currently loosing business customers because my emails do not work and I need an attorney to sue Go Daddy for my loss of income. STAY away from Go Daddy at all costs.

Gasmart #6 (Vickee)

AUTHOR: ninat0 - ()

I worked for the man, Vickee at the #6 Gas Mart located in Winchester, VA. I had a family emergency and had to move back down to Fredericksburg, VA.

I asked "Vickee" to please mail both my checks. He did, but the one check that had more money on it bounced in my checking account. It was only 106.78. they also charged me 9.00 for the fee.  That was over a week ago and this man refuses to make the check good or help me get that hole out of my bank account. He claims he is sending me a money order.

I have not heard from him in 9 days. He is a rip off. There is a report on this site about a bad tank of gas and I really believe he is a rip off.

On Tuesday, October 01, 2013 He forced me to break up cases of name brand beer to create 4-6packs. I do believe that is against the law according to the State of Virginia about breaking up cases of beer from 24 to 6. It is a 10.00 profit.

He is very cruel to his entire staff. He will not make good on a pay check and I have no way of getting back to Winchester.

Tim Warner Cable When Is Something Going to Be Done About This Truly Despicable Company?

AUTHOR: Kim45 - ()

I have never dealt with a company so corrupt and crooked. I have been a Time Warner customer for over 10 years and have only had to contact customer service probably three times in all those years. However, those calls to customer service have all been in the last year or so.

The first time was when I received an offer in the mail (which is almost daily) from Time Warner promoting a deal for a better package at a lower cost than I currently had. However, when I contacted them, for some reason that made absolutely no sense, this deal didn't apply to me. If I wanted the same deal, I would have to pay $70 more than I was currently paying.

And then today, I contacted them about the cost difference if I cancelled my cable and DVR, but kept my wireless internet and upgraded it to Turbo internet. They informed me I was in a contract until 5/2014 and I would have to pay an early cancellation fee of $150 which I was willing to do if the reduced cost of just the internet would offset that cancellation fee.

The representative told me the Turbo internet upgrade would cost $20. I then asked how much my total cost for wireless internet service would be and he informed me it would be more than I am currently paying for cable, internet, and DVR. Even if I didn't upgrade to Turbo internet, the cost savings of cancelling my cable and DVR would be less than $20/month.

After this experience, I had planned to cancel everything and find another internet service provider, but unfortunately Time Warner appears to be the only option in my area at this time. Regardless, even if Cincinnati Bell's fioptics hasn't expanded to my area by 5/2014, I will be cancelling everything and I guess spending a lot more time in coffee shops.

It is completely mindboggling to me that this company has been allowed to create a virtual monopoly without any type of intervention from the government or lawsuit. And now, with the Comcast merger, there will be an ever larger monopoly.

You can even get a job as a bank teller without them running your credit and making sure you don't have any foreclosures or IRS Tax liens before they hire you because a teller can get people's private information.  Should be the same for security companies if they are sending these people into your houses.  Must have money problems if he is stealing business and you have to be careful who you let in your homes these days especially with kids.  You here so many horror stories on the news about this stuff. Scary.

Home Security Sales

AUTHOR: ShawnP. - ()

This company has ended up on my Consumer Credit Report as a Hard Pull Inquiry.  I have complained numerous times to them to remove it as I never had any intention of allowing a credit check.  They have fought me on this and I am not sure why it's so important they keep it on my credit (Maybe angry I did not buy from them...which I made clear to the sales rep that day).  The sales rep came by my home and caught me outside; told me they were the ones that originally put in my alarm system and wanted to talk about my "free" upgrade.  I invited her in but emphasized we would not be buying today.  She asked for some information in order to get me the best possible price, because part of the free upgrade cost money.  I gave only my name, address, and birthdate...Nothing else.  My wife then cut the meeting short as we had to leave.  I told the rep we were done, and she was welcome to leave information, but she declined to leave information as she was apparently irate at the lack of sale.

That night, I was notified by credit monitoring that there was a hard inquiry which is rare and harsh on your credit score.  I fought the inquiry with the credit bureau and Better Business Burea.  For rebuttal documentation, Triguard responded with the "pre qualification" card which is apparently a free pass for them to cover their unethical actions.  The card says in Large letters at the top "PRE QUALIFICATION CERTIFICATION."  It does also at the bottom in TINY TINY print read "I authorize TriGuard Protection/Security Networks LLC to verify home ownership and review my consumer credit report in connection with this application for security services."  Barely readable.  No signature or even proof I filled out this card.  Did the rep fill it out for me? How is this legal?

Now, here it sits on my credit as a damaging hard pull for something I did not even want.  I can't imagine they are ethical when it comes to business.  I have also learned from a law firm that if they are ambiguous or misleading about how they present permission to pull credit; they are in violation of the FCRA.

Pimsler Approach Language CDs Bad Business

AUTHOR: Kate S. - ()

This company lures you into thinking you are getting one thing and then charges you four times that amount and makes it very difficult to cancel before they get their hands on your money... which you didn't knowingly agree to.  I went to cancel and after a painstakingly long conversation filled with repeat phrases and blah blah blah... I finally made an agreement with the customer service representative only to be charged again the next month!  The supervisor didn't have record of my previous agreement with a customer service representative and said the person I spoke to no longer works there.  She would not honor my cancellation without charging me another payment.  I don't mind paying what I agree to but I do mind companies that use tactics to trick you.  Greedy.  Read the fine print and know exactly what you are paying for which is actually 4 times higher than you think it will be if you don't read the little teeny tiny print.  SLEEZY!

Brakes

AUTHOR: mechanic - ()

This automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners of the 12th generation (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014) Ford F-150 truck in changing the front disc brake pads.

Owners of other F-Series trucks or other Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles such as the Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, Expedition, Explorer, Edge, Escape, E-150, E-250, E-350, Transit Connect, Flex, MKX, MKT, Navigator and Mountaineer may also find these DIY front brake job instructions to be helpful.

The tools needed to complete this procedure include a flathead screwdriver, lug nut wrench, floor jack, jack stands, 13mm socket, ratcheting wrench, a "C" clamp, a new set of front brake pads and a packet of brake caliper lubricant grease.

A few compatible aftermarket front brake pads include the following with their part numbers: Monroe DX1414, Wagner QC1414 or ZD1414, Raybestos ATD1414SV, Bendix D1414, Motorcraft BR-1414 and Power Stop # 16-1414.

The first few steps are to park the truck on a level surface, engage the emergency parking brake and chock the rear wheels to prevent the vehicle from moving.

If your F150 is equipped with lug nut covers or "hub caps" on the wheels, gently pry them off with a flathead screwdriver and set them aside in a safe place.

Slightly loosen the 6 lug nuts with a tire iron by turning them counter clockwise.

Raise the front of the vehicle with a floor jack and securely support it with at least two jack stands. (I prefer to work on one side of the vehicle at a time for extra safety.)

Spin off the six lug nuts and set them aside in a safe place before pulling off the front wheel.

Behind the wheel, you'll see the front brake caliper, rotor, bracket and suspension.

Locate the two bolts on the back side of the caliper.

Loosen the upper caliper bolt with a 13mm socket and ratcheting wrench by turning it clockwise (as seen from the outside of the vehicle).

Then loosen the lower 13mm caliper bolt.

Remove both caliper bolts and set them aside in a safe place.

Carefully pull the front brake caliper off the old pads and out of the bracket.

Rest the brake caliper on top of the rotor or hang it from the suspension spring with a piece of twine or a bungee cord. Try to avoid stressing the rubber brake fluid line.

Pull the old outer and inner brake pads out of the bracket.

If your set of new brake pads came with new metal pad abutment or "anti-rattle" clips, pull the old ones out of the top and bottom of the bracket before installing the new units.

In order for the brake caliper to work properly, the upper and lower caliper slider pins need to be well lubricated. Pull the pins straight out of the bracket and apply a thin layer of brake parts lubricant grease to each one. Push the pins back in until their rubber dust boots snap back in to place.

Thoroughly clean off the brake rotor, caliper bracket, brake caliper assembly and the lug nut studs with brake parts cleaner spray. Do not use compressed air or blow with your mouth to clean off the brake parts since breathing in brake dust can be harmful to your health. Brake dust can be carcinogenic (causes cancer) if inhaled.

If your vehicle previously exhibited shuddering, pulsating, or vibrations during braking, you may need to have your rotors "turned" (resurfaced) or just replace them with brand new rotors. If this is the truck's first front brake job and the rotors appear to be in excellent condition, you should be able to just replace the pads with great results.

To remove the existing rotors and install new ones, just remove the two bolts on the rear of the caliper bracket that attach it to the steering knuckle. Then loosen the old rotor with a rubber mallet, pull it off, and slide the new one in its place.

Attach the "C" clamp to the caliper using the back of an old brake pad to evenly distribute the force across the two pistons.

Move to the engine bay and twist off the brake fluid reservoir cap at the right rear area of the engine bay closest to the driver's seat. Removing the brake fluid reservoir cap will allow the brake fluid to more easily travel backwards through the system whe you compress the pistons.

Slowly turn the handle of the "C" clamp to compress the caliper pistons. You may need to reposition the "C" clamp to compress both pistons evenly.

Check the fluid level in the reservoir repeatedly while compressing the pistons to make sure that it doesn't overflow. Clean up any spilled brake fluid immediately since it can damage painted surfaces.

Replace the brake fluid cap ASAP since brake fluid is hygroscopic (readily absorbs moisture).

Apply a thin layer of brake caliper grease to any place where metal to metal contact takes place such as the outer rings of the two pistons. Do not apply lubricant to the friction surface of the new pads.

Install the new brake pads in to the bracket.

Push the new brake pads flush against the rotor.

Gently lower the brake caliper in to the bracket and over the new pads.

If the caliper doesn't fit over the new pads, you may need to compress the caliper pistons back a bit further.

Line up the bolt holes in the caliper with the corresponding holes in the caliper slider pins within the bracket.

Thread in the two caliper bolts by hand to prevent them from becoming cross threaded.

Tighten the two caliper bolts by turning them counter clockwise with the 13mm socket and ratcheting wrench to just past hand tight or about 25 ft lbs of torque.

Double check that both caliper bolts are tight before continuing on to the next steps.

SCAM TO CHEAT

AUTHOR: EsIAf - ()

****PLEASE EVERYONE READ AND HELP STOP THIS SCAM****

Hello fellow mobile game players,

This is a new mobile betting game systemwhere you wager your skills and real money at certain games they operate with different mobile game companies. It is known that a group out of China and operating in the U.S. have a scam to beat other players almost all the time. Besides myself, I do know many other people who have played and are very, very unhappy because they cannot be sure they have not been scammed and impossible to prove.

It is also rumored that they have been aware of this problem for 2 months and have chose to ignore the problem and are not concerned about other gamers. For a relatively new company bragging about how well their system is, how safe it is, and all these security measures in place to prevent cheating and stealing something is not right. They obviously screwed something up in their fraud protection and need to address and fix this problem immediately and tell anyone you know that plays mobile games to stay away from their company.

They have no phone #, no address to be found, nothing but 2 cities listed. All the warnings about this shady company posted on various social sites inform people to not try and contact them through their username because they will not respond and will ignore your questions. Then they will ban you from all their games. So, everyone warned has said to make sure you email them at their customer service email only.

EVERYONE WHO HATES TO BE RIPPED OFF PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE JUST TAKE 2 MINUTES TO SEND THEM AN EMAIL STATING AND HAVE ANY OF YOUR FRIENDS SEND THEM AN EMAIL TOO:

notifications-support@skillz.zendesk.com   "DO YOUR JOB AND STOP THE SCAM"

THESE BIG COMPANIES LIKE TO BLOW OFF THE LITTLE CONSUMER AND THE ONLY WAY TO GET A RESPONSE IS IF WE ALL STICK TOGETHER!!!! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP FROM ALL OF YOU OUT THERE :)

WideOpenWest WOW! Internet, Cable, Phone WIDEOPENWEST COMMUNICATIONS FAILURE!

AUTHOR: Marie - ()

Wide Open West has, over the past several years, tried to grow without causing pain and suffering to their customer base.  It is with simple honesty that I can say this has and never will occur, because there have been numerous instances where I have lost my phone, cable and internet service without any warning regardless if they were "upgrading" and knew there would be interference providing any of these services to their customers.

Recently I received an actual letter from their Chairwoman apologizing profusely for their oversight on these matters, with numerous similar email correspondence flooding my inbox; stating that WOW! has upgraded their service and have more access to customer service than every before.  However, they have shown again, that they are not up to the task.  Over the past several days the picture from their cable has been jumping, stopping and in queue to run normally, but it has not.

Today, it is worthless.  I have tried calling their customer service number at 866-496-9669 but cannot get through, because that too, is obviously not working.  I dare say that none of the leadership in this organization is working let alone managing to actually do something about the consistently poor performance WOW! provides.  I have sent an email to at least seven of these "leaders" to let them know that they are either asking me or telling me to get another provider.  Enough already!!

Security Alarm Now Rebate is a rip off.

AUTHOR: CBenniger - ()

Rebate is a rip off. It took them over 3 months and with many follow-up calls to send the visa reward card that was part of the promotion.  The expiration date on the card was only few months after I received the card.  You would think they would give the receipant a year to use the card.  I couldn't use the card by the expiration date due to unfortuante circumstances.  I called them and called the bank that issued the card (The PrivateBank and Trust Company pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc), but they both gave me the run around for 3 weeks and finally told me basically I lost my $100.00 rebate.

I will never recommend Security Alarm Now to anyone, and will tell everyone to stay away from them.

Stability HOme Protection Formally First Defense Security Owner Thaddeus Gravo is a snake artist and rips customers and employees off.

AUTHOR: atone49 - ()

This company used to be First Defense Security. Buyers beware, the owner and all his staff are told that monitronics are the best in the business, they lie. They say the police are moving to a non response system, where they are no longer prioritizing calls unless they have two way voice verification. They tell people that the police companies are mandating the two way voice verification to sell there products.

They lie to the customer by using scare tactics to get them to upgrade and pay 20.00 or more a month and lock them in a 60 month contract. They say they are local dealer for monitronics and they are nation wide when they have one office with 15 people in it. Thad Gravo is the biggest crook out there. Hang up if they should contact you. They have licenses in Texas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. He is still trying to get licensed in other states.

He uses Alliance Home Protection to get sales in other states, Thad sold first defense to Alliance and when they started ripping him off he bought out his share but still uses them through monitronics... He cheats his employees on there pay and slowly nickles and dimes them so they are making less than minimun wage. He dont give you your last paycheck or he deducts alot from it to where you have nothing. Stay away from this company and its people!!!!!

john casablancas modeling Now called model and talent management scam, rip off

AUTHOR: meme - ()

In 2010 I filled out a application for john Casablancas modeling, couple days later I received a phone call from them asking me to come in for me to come in for an interview. At the interview I was given a cost I would have to pay for the "modeling training"' but was assured that "they seen so much talent in me and my photos that after the training I would receive job offers" I signed a contract that day before leaving. Worst choice! I paid $1,379 for just the classes alone. Then it was $50 for every photoshoot. And if that wasnt bad enough they told me in order to be a petite model with my height I would have to tighten up my stomach. At this time I was thirteen years old and paid for all the expences out of my own college saving funds. Towards the end of my classes I started herring And seeing more about them ripping people off and not keeping their word to schedule jobs for the women and young lady's who had "graduated" their classes. That's when I stopped goimg ! Being so young and my parents knowing nothinof what to do in a situation like thus we left it alone' but now as I'm approaching 19 I wish there is something I could do to get that money back.  At the least warn young women of these awful people and make sure they understand to not go to through them because they will steal your money!!!!!!

Tom Tom Last "update" destroyed the touchscreen keyboard's functionality, and the device is now useless!

AUTHOR: BWW - ()

I purchased a TomTom device several years ago for use in my personal automobile.  As recommended, I updated it regularly, both for software updates and for new map information.  The device functioned well until the last “update” -- after which it has been rendered virtually useless and worthless.

The last “update” which I downloaded from TomTom Home 2 completely wrecked the touch-screen keyboard function, making it impossible to enter an address or a location.  Since the device lacks speech-recognition capability, this has rendered the TomTom utterly useless.  As a result, the value and utility of this item has been destroyed by their “update.”

What’s worse, a diligent search of their website indicates that there is no fix or repair for this “update” – and when contacted, their support staff indicated that my TomTom was “no longer supported.”  It appears, then, that the “update” has had the effect of eliminating any remaining usefulness or value of this device, without any way to recover either.

Jenny you can't expect the state to pay for background checks for private companies.  You hire these people to install an alarm system, you shouldn't let them around your kids anyway.  If you get a bad feeling from them just make sure you change all the codes the minute they leave.  It's not uncommon to hear in the news everyone and then about someones house being broken into even when they have an alarm system.  So either change the codes once they leave or google how to do one yourself, not that hard.  But my tac dollars shouldn't be spent to get background checks for your security company.

Beware of giving them access to your credit score!

AUTHOR: NoGo4DaPoPo - ()

Holy cow guys. Where do I even start. BTW I am writing this review based on MY experience there. OK so I found this great car online and decided to go take a look and a test drive. We chatted with the sales associate and manager if used car sales and couldnt agree on a price. No big deal, it happens everyday. So they kept calling us asking to purchase the car so finally we said well if we can get it for this certain price, then YES we will go over there and buy it right away. They finally said ok that price is reasonable lets sit down and make a deal.

So we get in there 2 days later, speak to the same guy we had talked to on the phone, but then when we say ok so this was the agreed price, is that still om the table? He says, oh upon further review we decided can't make that deal but we are prepared to sell it to you for the price we're asking for. I'm slightly irritated at this point because I felt that they said yes to our price initially just to get us in there where they had NO intension of even negotiating. So we said thanks for your time but no way.

The next day I get called by another associate asking if they can make another deal, i say no because of the switch-a-roo that went downt the night before. He then says the origional guy wants to talk to me. I say ok since i didnt see the harm. The guy gets on the phone, tells me that I should have taken the car and says, "Well I'll tell you for sure you WILL NOT find another car like this so you're better off just taking the deal." I politely tell him that I don't think thats necessarily true since barely used cars pop up every few weeks. By the way., the WHOLE time he is cutting me off while I'm trying to be nice and say thanks for your time though, good luck, blah blah blah.

So at the end, he says, " I want you to understand that the deal you're hoping for isn't going to happen. You know that right?" then he says "so you're not going to buy the car? thats it?" I say not I'm sorry. Then he says "OK fine." and HANGS UP ON ME!!! Are you serious?!?!?! How can a place of business allow associates to talk to potential customers like that?! So I immediately called back and asked to speak to a manager. I told him that was a horrible way to conduct busniess and I hope he doesn't allow his associates to treat customers and I would like it addressed. He says he'll talk to him, blah blah blah. He probably never did and let it go, i dont know. But I didnt get a call back.

AND one of the other horrible things is that while we were negotiating initially, he asked to check my credit scores for potential financing reasons but ASSURED me that it was a soft credit check and that it would NOT affect my credit score or show up on the inquiries. Well, 3 days later I get an alert on my email that there was a hard inquiry that took my credit score down 3 points. I look and IT WAS FREAKING M'LADY NISSAN!!!! I'm going to call about it today and demand it be addressed but seriously WHAT THE HECK!!!!

I cannot believe they are in business with actions and employees like this! What a horrible way to treat people looking into doing business with you!  AVOID THIS DEALER AT ALL COSTS!!!!!  I was willing to look passed the associate being so rude and hanging up on me but this was the last straw and now I am going to make SURE I tell everyone I know NEVER to go to this dealership again! I wish they saw these reviews and gave an explanation.

ADT Security Scam

AUTHOR: The Truth Sets You Free - ()

I decided to install ADT Security in my home because it had been pre-wired for the security system. The technician told me that I would be receiving remotes for the system. However, he forgot to leave them.

I contacted my sales person about the technician not leaving me the remotes he had promised.  The sales person said his manager told him that I would get a remote. I waited for a day and a half but no call from the manager regarding the remote plus, I called the sales person several times and he told me that she was supposed to call me. I only had 3 days after installation to cancel if I was not happy with ADT and I was Not Happy with the customer service at the security company. No manager called me back and no one could tell me about how to get the remote i was promised!

I called my bank to see about the fee I paid for the installation and was shocked to discover that someone from ADT got a bank draft from my bank account for more money than what I authorized for the installation costs! So, i was also being ripped off at the bank!

Needless to say, I canceled service right away. Not only did I not receive what I was promised but also an ADT representative tried to rip me off with my bank account!! I am running far from this so called "security company," I feel far from secure with ADT.

Xlibris ASI- A PENGUIN RANDOM HOUSE COMPANY Xlibris They will not stop harrasing you to no end,, for money American base

AUTHOR: Craig - ()

first I googled to find a publisher in Australia I thought I had found one but its Americon based in the Phillipines

After a tacky sales pictch about a micheal Hill like discount and a one sided contract I said No

they harrased continueingly untill I told them I would go to Fair Tarding this did not stop them continueing to email call me tell me I need there help and that my writing skills are No go Duh I know that

Its a Body building book 31 pages anyone could help with it I would sujest DO NOT get involeved with this company if a govermenet agency does not deture them from contacting you nothing will I will be reporting them in

Australia to Fair Trading

Dear Craig,

Thank you for your frank and swift response.

Here are the things that needed to be pointed out with your words and actions:

1. Your terms and conditions do nothing to support me I have written other books and printed sold them myself I am one for resaerch no one in there right mind would agree or follow your advise

- We are assisting more than 45,000 Authors. They have agreed to our Terms and conditions. Keeping an open mind and thinking of positive things that will happen to their books brought them to success which is a total opposite of who you are and how you see things. Yes, you have published a lot of titles but are they selling? Are they popular? Did Traditional publishers took a peek at your books?

Think about it.

You are looking for a self publishing house for your book's publication because you have accepted the fact that publishing your book on your own did nothing to bring your book to stardom.

2. I have advised you many times on my terms by telephone you continue to ignore my requests you continue with your sales techniques and pressure sales methods you are continueing to try to minipulate my words.

- With your terms? Xlibris, a very big company, and an established one, will not change our Terms and Conditions that we have been using for 16 years just for you.

I, on the other hand is not being manipulative, I am simply and slowly letting you understand that this is what your book needs in a professional way, not using words that will hurt your ego. Publishing your book alone will still not bring success to you. You have tried that and nothing happened to your book.

3. I told you and told you many times do not try to justify your wrong to me Do Not try your cheap pressure sales technique on me I have advised you on my progress and what I wish to do your subject title Get Started! in the first instance is annoying and harrassing you have been warned about this your attempt on hi pressure guilt of your discount continuing harassment's statements refurring I am inexpirenced in this field and your correspondence will from this moment Stop

- Again, we are professional people here and we deal with Professional Authors, I hope you are one of them, we will try our best to let you understand how worthy it is to invest on your masterpiece. The discounts are there to be offered to Authors and it is a must to tell them the truth about the offer and how they can avail with this.

Yes, you are inexperienced compared to my end. You are good at what you do and that is writing. I am very knowledgeable about Publishing. This is my job and I have assisted a lot of satisfied Authors. If I will give in on what you want then what is the purpose of me helping you and guiding you and what is the use of looking for a self publishing house if you will not listen.

4.Lastly, Please do check your spellings and your grammars you badly need an Editor.

I will not force you on securing a publishing package with Xlibris when I know that you are not comfortable with it.

On my end, atleast I did try to save you from doing the same mistake again.

Goodluck with your book and with your future publishing house.

Sincerely,
Karen Gonzalez

Why are you trying to explain to them C Yellen when they hired him to start with.  It is their fault, why blame him for trying to get some business for himself.  Of course he goes for side action if he can get it, it is their fault for hiring him to start.

AUTHOR: C. Yellen - ()

Protection Bureau can call this a scam and Brumbaugh can attack me telling me to shut up like the shill he is, but from a business sense, the Protection Bureau brought this on themselves by hiring a competitor to do their installation.  They have no one to blame but themselves for hiring him and then not addressing the issue when they discovered what he did.

DACM Project Management is in the business of ripping off school bond money, government contracts and anything else with lots of money and little oversight. The worst part is they lure small-time dishonest people in to help them for a cut, but then screw them hard and fast and let them take the fall. If you refuse to go along with their scam (and they have MANY ways of stealing from people), like I did,

after they did some work on my beautiful, historically-designated million-dollar home in a beautiful neighborhood, THEY WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET WHAT THEY WANT, make you pay for it while they take it right from underneath you and they want to watch you scream in pain while they do it because they're a band of thieves who have been together since college 40 years ago and rarely get caught (one person right now is serving 9 years in Ohio for a $15,000,000.00 mortgage scam they ALL participated in--but while Susan Alt sits in prison, they'll keep her money safe and sound).

How do they do it? Help from Leroy R. Davis Jr. & Denise with his shell company MBCM, LLC registered in Washington DC to grease a few hands, overbill West Contra Costa County Schools on Measure "D" so Alan Cade could stash the money in a "trust" account at the California Bank & Trust in Encino then kick back part of it to ol' Leroy. Cliff Dewey in the Office of the Inspector General's Office at LAUSD who overlooked complaints about over billing on the New Facilities and Modernization bond money...then when Alan Cade set up yet ANOTHER trust account and stole the "WE BUILD ON SAFETY" Rewards & Recognition money issued by Aon directly to Alan Cade, Deborah Dugan, his partner at DACM and Dugan Associates covered it up by paying of David Livingstone $3300 to take the hit.

Was it worth it? He then incorporated the name "We Build On Safety" and seems fine for being the fall guy. Bob Resnick of the Redondo Beach Pier also funneled public money into a trust account for Alan, circumventing the customary invoicing and payment procedures for tax purposes. DON'T CROSS THESE PEOPLE OR THEY MAY DO TO YOUR HOUSE WHAT THEY ARE DESPERATELY, MADLY and OUTRAGEOUSLY TRYING TO DO TO THIS ONE THAT IS HELD IN A CHILDREN's TRUST!!! DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE OR YOU WILL VERY LIKELY HAVE THE SAME EXPERIENCE!!!!!

Comcast / xfinity xfinityxfinity tvcomcast TVcomcast triple play Comcast, Threatens to mess my credit if I dont pay them what I DONT owe!! and they DID!! Philadelphia Pennsylvania

AUTHOR: comcast_is_scam - ()

I have been a Comcast customer since 2008, Always made my payments. I moved to different state 6 months ago, I checked my credit score 5 days ago and I saw that my score dropped 100 points because comcast appretnly sent me to collections for $860.37!!, I never received a letter or a call from comcast or the collection agency since I moved to different address. So I try to login my online account at comcast.com but its not working,

I call them and chat with them, trying to login my account but they would not let me log in!. I requested an itemized bill of the charges Comcast claim that I owe but no responce, They basicly are saying that I owe $480.37 for my bill and the reset for not returning a cable box and a modem, are you kidding why would I need to take your equipment, YOU KNOW its not usefull to any customer to keep it since they can NOT do anything with it,

so basicly comcast try to scam customers be sending them to collection saying they owe hundreds of dollars for thair equipment and bill charges that never exsists, I filed a BBB report but they never responded to the report. Comcast has gotten so big that they dont care about any customer, its like a mouse trying to talk to an elephant. Comcast messed up my credit and alot of other people I read online.

My last chance is take comcast to small court and try to get $5000 for damages caused to me and get the collection off my account and thats what I advice anyone who cant have comcast help them to do, at least thats what my attorney told me, it only cost $150 to file small claim with court, I will be doing so on monday and update it here. If anyone had same experince please share.

Anytime a employee does this you should call the dispatacher to see if it is legit.

CPI Security-RIP OFF-NEVER, EVER USE!!

AUTHOR: Oracle - ()

In 2008, I purchased a new townhome in a community.  During my appointment with the design center, a representive from CPI Security shows up to tell me about purchasing a security system for the home.  I'm sure the builder had a special agreement with CPI Security to come out and present as the company to use.  Nevertheless, I along with everything else I chose that day in the design center, I chose CPI Security as my new home security provider.

After four years,  I decided to explore other home security protection options.  I called CPI, only to discover that I had signed a five year contract with them, and if I wanted to leave, I would have to pay $1200.00 to break the contract.  Of course, this was NEVER presented to me during the initial presentation at the design center.  If this had presented at that time, I would have never agreed to such terms.  OK, my fault for not reading the fine print and relying on the salesperson's sale pitch to sell me the system.

Here is the thing I'm MOST angry about, I became very ill duing the fourth year of the contract and had to leave my home to move in with relatives.  To CPI Security's credit, they did lower my monthly payments to half of what I was paying.  However, during the ten (10) months that I was away from my home, I did not have land line phone services.  I called CPI Security and was told by a customer service representative that my home was still being monitored even though I did not have land service, to which the system was connected to, and that I had nothing to worry about.

Of course, I knew this was not/could not be true because the security system was initial set up to be connected via land line. I was too ill to argue with anyone, so, for ten months, no monitoring and I'm still paying CPI.  I called back at the end of the five years and was told that I still had one more month left on the contract.  I then called back in the one month period and was told I would still have to pay for one additional month and that they would come pick up their equipment (the "brain") for the system.

If you decide to use this company, beware of the five year contract and be prepaired to deal with rude, lying, and deceptive employees, from the sales people to the customer service reps.

Oranum is a scam, fake greedy psychics giving bad advice and it also disabled my internet. This site has many complaints against it. Stay clear of this web site. It is located in Luxembourg, this is a very small country in Europe and it is not regulated by any laws in the United States. Save your money and get real help elsewhere.

There were many times when I witnessed members complaining because the system would shut down during private readings and all they were able to view was a blank screen. All I got was bad advice from it. There are videos on YouTube warning about this site as well. These are some of the greediest people I have ever met and for them to say they want to help people is a joke.

Stay clear of this site, they have hackers who will disable your computer and cause you lots of problems. I am serious about this, it is no joke. I have pasted the link to Youtube, please watch for your own good.

ANKDisplay ANK Display I-Scarab Ripped-off after months of legitimate business South Korea, Gyeonggi-do Internet

AUTHOR: TT2012 - ()

ANK Display seemed like a legitimate company. We bought LCD Controller boards from them for a few months. At first, they were helpful, accepted our orders, and even agreed to do some customization work for us.

After months of business, we have a pile of their boards, a pile of orders from customers, and absolutely NO reply/support from this company now. It has been well over 1 month, and they do not answer their phones, or reply to emails.

We have invested thousands of dollars into their boards, and also into the customization work. The work was done 50% as it should have been. We have offered them many times to pay additional money to get the custom boards done correctly/professionally. They refuse to reply to us regarding this.

They have taken our money, and have NOT gotten the work done as it was supposed to be. Worse is that they do not reply to any Calls to the company or Emails.

PELCODE in Korea, a competing LCD Controller maker did something similar to this, but their communication and attentiveness was much worse than ANK Display. It seems to be a trend for these small South Korean LCD Controller/Display makers to simply stop replying to their customers after they have been paid. PELCODE stole over $3000 worth of product that we sent to them for tuning. Stopped replying completely.

PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL WITH EITHER OF THESE UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANIES. We lost a lot of money both times, and we hope that the same doesn't happen to you.

Childhood Dreams & Designs Blatant liars with dishonest business practice Phillipsburgh Kansas

AUTHOR: Danielle - ()

On November 8th I ordered a size 7 Laura Dare Christmas night gown for my daughter for Christmas. I was happy to find somone that sold this exact gown to replace one she received from grandma last Christmas (size4/5). These were her favorite pajamas ever, she squeezed into them nightly but would not give them up.

I placed the order for a size 7 which was a listed option on the website at that time. I received the order over two weeks later. When I opened the package the first thing I did was check to confirm I received the correct size. What I found was the bottom 1/8th inch of the size tag intentionally cut off to remove the size number. I emailed stating what I had found only to be given a Blatant lie for a response. I was told it was the last one in stock and they cut the tag to remind them to order more? Really, I wasn't born yesterday. I asked to exchange the item and the responses stopped coming.

What really happened was they removed the size from a 6x gown to pawn it off as a size 7. They also updated the size options on the website and sizes 7-9 are no longer listed for this gown. I mean, why lie? If an item you listed on your website is discontinued, sold out or was listed in error, just contact me and give me options? Why be deceitful and the lie when called out? In summary they didn't send what was ordered, lied about the situation and failed to respond when given the chance to make it right. Bad business practices for a bad business.

I purchased a blog for $20,000 with a promise to receive monthly payments of approximately $3,500 each month ($817.00/week).  I Purchased it from blogbusinessesonline@gmail.com (aka Emdai BC Ltd) with Arthur Calman as my business contact (may also useblogarticlesbusiness@gmail.com).  All I had to do was post articles from another website onto my site daily.  Payments commenced like clockwork from week 1 and for 13 straight weeks ($10,621.00 returned from investment).  It was at week 13 that I decided to upgrade my blog to a $40,000 blog.  The upgrade was an increase to approximately $7,000 each month ($1,634.00/week).  I received one payment from the upgrade ($12,255.00 returned from investment) and then payments ceased.  I contacted Arthur (yes I contacted him, not the other way around) to inquire about the lack of payment.

My email stated:

Good Day Arthur
I understand weekly payments will stop for a couple of months.  I have not received word and was wondering if I would be informed.  Is that correct?  Is the two months firm or could it be longer?  If so, will payments come less frequently (like once a month or every other week) or stop all together?  On what date do you expect payments will resume if stopped all together?   Will payments missed be made up or just resume as normal?
If payments will stop all together, I would like to exercise my 6 month money back guarantee on my $20,000 increase (not my initial investment).  Once payments start again, I can then increase my blog back to $40,000.  This is the best option for me at this time as I need the cash flow… I wish I could wait until the blog resumes weekly payments, but unfortunately I am unable.  If payments will come less frequently, I may be able to wait the two months with reduced payments from the blog.
Thanks for understanding.
Please let me know how I go about receiving a refund if that is the step I need to take.
Regards

Before receiving an answer, I sent:

Arthur
In reference to my email below.  Have you considered the option of reducing payments by 75% for 2-4 months or paying owners one payment per month for 2-4 months to save the money required to build the central website?  It is disturbing or shocking to have payments stopped completely.  Please let me know if you have considered these options as I feel owners would be more receptive to reduced payments than no payments.
Please advise.
Regards

I then received an email from Arthur that stated:

Hello XXXX,
We now continue payments for small blogs (under $5,000). For bigger blogs we stopped payments for 2 months. This will allow to collect the money for blog network’s site and its promotion. Otherwise it will be impossible to run this business successfully. That’s why we ask not to stop articles posting for these months, even if they are not paid.
Regards,
Arthur

For the first month, when I contacted Arthur with questions, affiliates (interested investors) or updates, he responded.  In one email, he stated:

Hello XXXX,
As I wrote, we plan to complete website building in 2 months. And we plan to restart payments by the 10th of December. Maybe it will be earlier if we finish the work earlier.
Regards,
Arthur

In another, as further explanation for the shutdown, he stated how much the business would save and that the money was for the central website and promotion.  I went on business as usual, still posting articles daily as he asked, but then he stopped responding to my emails.  I got nervous.  It was then I sent an email to Arthur requesting a refund (for the second time), but only of the money sent for the upgrade ($20,000).  A 180 Day Money Back Guarantee was included with the blog purchase.  I was willing to accept any fees associated with the transaction.  No response and no refund.  Then, when the date he promised to resume payments came and payments did not resume, I ceased posting.  I still own the site that is CURRENTLY making me no money, but I own it at just under a $28,000 loss.  For lots less money I could have created my own blog.  This blog came with promises of a paying clientele and immediate return on investment.  The problem is, you never get it all back.

What is troubling in this situation is the fact that the three investors I was acquainted with never received notice the payments would stop.  That was unfortunate and unprofessional.  I never would have upgraded had I known… BUT, that is what a scam artist will do, SCAM YOU!  Arthur Calman is good at his job.

I later discovered several other investors around the United States are in the same boat.

Why didn't you just but the equipment online and have your client install it him or herself.  It would have been cheaper and probably more professional given how you said the installer treated your client.  Then your client could hook the system up to his internet and monitor everything anywhere around the world on his smart phone.  less money and much much better product, and then you don't have to worry about the security company not properly vetting their employees and who they send in to your home or business.

They do not offer the option to immediately speak to a supervisor, and the "supervisor call back" requests I have placed are either ignored or lost. Not only that is NOT TRUE, since they're now enforcing a $7,99 fee monthly for all apps produced for clients (which means, they were sold to clients WITHOUT any renewal fee and now means we as company have to pay on behalf of our clients), secondly it's been impossible to liaise with any customer account manager, customer support, no email contact that's valid, no phone contact...

The whole thing is a massive scam, leaving all of us, marketing agencies and end users having to pay, or shut up. AND EVEN WHEN WE HAVE PAID!!!.. still, they take the money, and apps are not activated either!.

We get these messages that "this is a family run business", and also "look at terms and conditions" where you find that there's 2 set of terms and conditions. 1, it says that "these are our terms.. if we don't like the way you complain, your language, we cancel you off", and 2, the "legal stuff", where you ge the usual legal wording.

Quite unbeliveable, that you also get the automated response "this is a family run business, Claudia, Ben,.. and some other made up retard with a different name, whether that is true.. or not".

This "company" is ripping people off, including reputable marketing agencies and the clients they represent.

Is there anyone in the USA that would care and put these guys in a court room? Even better, in jail!!?

Not the first rip off in history that looks "like the real thing", but eventually turns up to be a massive scam.

USA, SPAIN... EVERYWHERE.. BEWARE.

You're signing up to a "solution" that creates more problems than actual solutions.

Jail time for crooks like these guys. Or we will continue to be ripped off online by good looking marketing that has nothing to back it up with in the end.

Scam Artist - he is a scammer and has failed over and over in his own businesses! Stole 15k from me!

AUTHOR: Anony - ()

I bought a website from this scam artist Phil Autelitano off of Craigslist and it was so-so. I could not blame him for that not being that great, as I did not market it the way i should have and I was stupid enough to buy it from this scammer on Craigslist. The problem came later. Several months after I bought the website, Phil Autelitano emailed me about how he was looking for a loan and in return I would get residual payment, an opportunity to earn income through marketing and stock in the company. Phil Autelitano borrowed 15k from me on the promise I would be paid back, I would get stock, I would be on the board of directors of the company, etc. None of these things happened. What happened was Phil Autelitano scammed me. He stopped returning emails for weeks at a time. He never paid me the monthly residuals I was supposed to get always citing some BS expenses at the last second. He would not provide financials. He is basically daring me to sue him because he knows it is costly and difficult long distance. I have lost my money to this scam artist. He is a liar and a cheat. Before you buy any of his BS marketing knowledge ask him why his crappy business supposedly could not pay back the loan I gave him. The loan was a personal loan as well. Any that can help me get my money out of this scumbag you can keep half!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM PHILAUTELITANO.COM, HARDCORE CREATIVE OR TURNKEYPRINTSHOPS.COM. Now this peice of excrement is offering a "1 day website jam" where he will rip you and 5 of your friends off! Hopefully no one is stupid like I was and buys into his smooth talking BS. What kind of "GURU" is so flat broke that he cant pay back 15k or a stupid TAX LIEN from the IRS? Or is he just another scammer hopping from sucker to sucker? Think about it before you do anything with Phil Autelitano!!!!

Diane A. Vandeweghe, Shana Zaman, Nino Scalamandre, Global Corporate Finance LLC, Headquarters Capital Management LLC, Franco Scalamandre, Christopher Brown, Global Emerging Markets (“GEM”),

- Investigation Reveals Numerous Lawsuits Alleging Extortion, Racketeering in Organized Crime Act, Upfront Fee Scam, Fraud, Litigation, Failure to Fund, Fraudulent Inducement and Conspiracy, Unfair Trade Practices, Dishonest Business Practices, Alleged Investigation by Federal FTC for Unethical/Unscrupulous Activities.

Allegations: A friend of mine related she was an agent working on a transaction she was looking to fund and she was allegedly contacted by this Nino Sclamanadre person. He claimed to be the head of a 5 Billion dolar private investment firm.

"Global Corporate Financial (GCF) is a private investment firm operating as a consortium of funds and associated with collectively over $5 billion in committed investment capital."

An investigation into Global Corporate Finance LLC reveals they have done NO transactions and have no real funds under management. But by the time I tried to help her it was too late.

They had allegedly played some kind of shell game with her clients and basically took them away from her but also took her clients for a ride.

They also had to pay an upfront fee in $15,000 cash for "legal work".... yea right :-)

They also do not provide any real investments into companies. Evidently what they allegedly do is take a company shares, dump them in the market and take that cash and give it to the company. It seems they claim they need the shares to prevent delivery falure but in fact they just sell the shares before they give the cash. Text book case of a "death spiral" funder.

If you look at the linkedin bios of their team they claim to be a "$3.4 billion alternative investment group that manages
a diverse set of investment vehicles focused on emerging markets across the world." They also claim to have done hundreds of transactions.

However they never show any financials and they do not actually have any funds under management Global Corporate Finance also claim to be a 3.4 billion group yet they show no transactions whatsoever. They also do not show any previous transactions.

Who is this Nino Scalamandre the head of this 3.4 or 5 billion, depending on which bio you read?

I am not sure but Franco Scalamandre is allegedly his brother and a disbarred lawyer.

Google "Franco Gino Scalamandre - california bar" see he was forced to resign with charge pending

so Franco Scalamandre is a disbarred lawyer who resigned with charges pending? Now lets dig a little deeper into his company background and get our friend google to help us out. Turns out Franco Scalamandre is the managing director of yet another supposed 5 billion dollar private equity firm Global Emerging Markets North America, Inc GEM

if you google "Court Enforces Engagement Letter That Had Never Been Signed" it makes interesting reading about his employer Global Emerging Markets North America, Inc. ("GEM"), I can only guess that this is the global consortium Nino Scalamandre claims to head up. If this is the case then it is easy to see why he does not publish any of his transactions.if you google "Wang Ruiyun GEM global yield fund limited" This GEM firm Nino Scalamandre heads is allegedly charged with "market rigging" and that target of a company that sought damages of 147,000,000 now  google "Case 3:07-cv-01562-L Document 45 Filed 12/06/07" Yet another firm has brough a lawsuit for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of duty of good faith and fair dealing, fraudulent inducement, declaratory judgment, and conspiracy.

google "RA Global Services Inc et al v. Apps et al" google "Magic art of turning Tk 43 into Tk 1,200"

GEM Global bought a huge chunk of shares at a price of Tk 375. But, within a month and a half, the foreign firm dumped all its shares at a price of Tk 909 each on the bourses, pocketing an astronomical amount of profit.

It repatriated more than $2 million from Bangladesh within a month and a half investing only $500,000, SEC told the Court.

"It is not investment, it is just speculative trading."

"GEM-Investment-PT.-Agis-Tbk.-Threatened-Court"

you will see they invloved in yet another lawsuit.

if you google "Victor Muller’s games continue: Are the new Saab shares ending up in Russian hands?"

"GEM acts only as intermediary and who is actually buying is a mystery."

if you google "gem global yield fund The UK Trader's Bible: The Complete Guide to Trading the UK Stock Market"

"GEM borrows shares from shareholders to short the stock"

google "Ridgeline announces $ 140 million dollar lawsuit against Global Emerging Markets, NA Inc."

Ridgeline will pursue civil charges including Fraud, Tortious Interference, and additional claims under the Racketeering in Organized Crime Act, which qualifies for treble damages. Ridgeline will also show  that GEM attempted to extort cash payments from Ridgeline, and its current CEO, Danzik under threats of GEM releasing negative news on Ridgeline via wire services in the U.S. and Canada

GEM has made claims to have an investment fund worth over a billion dollars.
However they never produce financial statements.

Further progress of the legal action by Ridgeline will also show GEM was involved in an attempt to setup a
fraudulent investment in CWT, where GEM would purport to invest a total of US$ 4,000,000, but in fact was
arranging a fraud, where the investment would be returned to GEM within few days, without the knowledge of
the true owner and seller of CWT, which was CWT Enterprises Canada, Inc.

Who else has had a bad experience with these guys? I did notice that they announced several deals with usa listed companies who never filed a registration statement which makes me wonder if they are using a shareholder loan structure to bypass SEC scrutiny?

Can you ring some of the companies they list on their GEM website and ask them their experience with them?

uspeoplerecords.com somehow these people got on to my website and promised a full report on anyone i was wanting to get a background check...they offered all criminal backgrounds and much more info. when i went into the web site it looked promising and it displayed the person i was looking for and said they had all info i may need. i stupidly signed up for a month and when i did and tried to retrieve the info i needed they only offered me the last address of the individual [ and that was incorrect ] they wanted another $20.00 to access the info. i paid the $20.00 more on top of what i paid earlier. the info was very very incorrect so i check my own info. that was totally incorrect with my address i lived at 40 years ago. no info on me was correct. i complained and they stole a bunch of monet from my acct. i warned them to not do this.

on dec. 24th of 2013 i was interested in getting info on my late mother. this web site somehow invaded my privacy by getting on my email. so i thought id give them a chance, i noticed on their advert they offered to give me criminal and all background infor id need for a low price of $24.00...

i contacted the site and it looked official and i signed up for 1 month and i put in my late mothers name in for the info and they only had my late mothers address. that address was not correct..and it was the only info they offered me.

they wanted another $19.99 to get the needed info i wanted...so i paid. i checked the info out and the woman that was my mother had no correct info...none whatsoever. so i was suspicious and i checked my info to see how correct their info was about me.

when i checked my own info i found it totally incorect with my info showing my current address as a former address i had back 40 years ago. nothing about me was correct except a few obvious matters like my birthday and horoscope.

i contacted these people and told them they are misleading people and it is false advertisement. i warned them not to take any money and they did anyway....i want all my money back. they are fakes and a web site is dedicated to their rip-offs. i found this out after the fact.....please help me beat these people!

Ashley Furniture, ashley furniture damage forgetful, used, sucks, slackers bad noncommunication swirl scratch smudge

AUTHOR: Keith - ()

Like so many other reviews posted, I made a BIG mistake buying from Ashley Furniture.  The problem is the warehouse located in Newark, Delaware.  When the furniture was delivered (loveseat, recliner and sofa - all power, 2 end tables, coffee table and two lamps), one of the delivery guys was very rude. He walked in like he owned the place and not even a greeting.  They damaged the loveseat, couch and recliner by scratching them going up the stairs and into the door.  This also left unsightly damage to the door entrance.  When I suggested that they do more to protect the furniture in the future, he had the nerve to as me "how".  He's the delivery person and had to ask ME how.  What a joke.  I told him to wrap the furniture in the blankets they had in the truck.  Then he asked me how would the blankets stay on.  What a joke!  I told him to use the rope (also in the truck) to tie it around the blanket.  He shut up after that, but this only the beginning of my nightmare.

All the tables have swirl marks, smudges, outright scratches and a noticeable dent in one of the end tables.  I was told the swirl marks are "normal".  It's obvious they were used.  I called Ashley about repair or replacement.  They have missed multiple appointments (both telephone call-backs and visits) and not even called to reschedule.  I had to consistently call them after they missed the appt.  The manager was a nice guy, but VERY forgetful.  They came out to look at it (after they missed an appt that I had to call them about), then came out to try some swirl remover (again, after another missed appointment that I had to call them about).  The swirl remover did not remove the swirls.  Then they said they would order new table tops and have them delivered to my residence.  Two weeks passed, nothing.  I call them to ask about the delivery, they said they would check and call me right back.  Two days passed, nothing.  I called them, yet again, and was told that the separate table tops were not an option.  So tell me why didn't they call me when the found this out???  Makes it so bad is that the manager told me (on his previous visit) that he had already ordered one of the table tops.  Only a couple weeks ago did the manager get a hold of 1 tabletop and replace the one that was dented.  His doing that was the only thing that kept this being a 0 star review.  He also said he would escalate the other table issues to his boss.  Since then I've tried speaking to the main manager, but he always has left early.  I give up.

I don't know about other Ashley stores, but communication with the customer is non existent with this warehouse in Newark DE. They answer the phone, but not much after that.  Either way.  Absolutely the worse customer relations I've ever experienced.  All I can do at this point is sell this stuff at a loss, buy GOOD tables and send complaint letters.

If you live in Delaware, I strongly recommend that you don't buy from Ashley furniture!  Save yourself some money and a headache.  If you must, then don't let the delivery guys rush you to sign for the delivery like the did to me.  Inspect the furniture thoroughly because coming from Ashley (and from reading other reviews), it's automatically suspect.  If you notice damage, don't sign!  Make them take it back immediately.

Then again on 12-12-13, $1.51, another Frgn Trans. Fee-SNpem (whatever that means). I didn't signup with these people. I don't even know who they are!

Global Traders 365, I started with these people a couple of months ago. They made the proccess sound realitively simple. Even though most things worth having aren't. Anyway g continued to follow their progress and learn as much as I could. Spending hours and hours on their website. Finaly I invested $49.50, into The Bionary Options program they were selling. I USED my PayPal account to pay them to keep it safe, as I was still skeptical.

Then no matter what I did, I couldn't log into my acct. And, the $49.50 somehow became $57.99. I still couldn't do any call's or push's, so I went in and tried to recover my $49.50/$57.99, back from their sixty day no questions asked full refund! Thats when a new page, one I had never seen before that stated that they have NO Service fos my worldly location! As yet, I still haven't been able to reccoop my investment. Beware Global Trader 365 !

security Extortion Internet

AUTHOR: - ()

I recently purchased a new home on 11/28. The former owner is 85 years old and did not remember the access codes to his ADT security system. I called ADT to see about getting the default codes which would allow me to reprogram the security access codes required to turn the system on and off.

ADT informed me they were unable to relinquish any access codes without the permission of the previous owner, who had been paying for monitored service for a number of years. I can understand this policy, it is good to be careful whom you give security system codes to.

I called the former owner and explained the situation to him. After he contacted ADT to give them permission to talk to me about the security system installed at my new address, he contacted me to let me know he had done so. When I called ADT back they told me that the only way they would give me the default codes to MY security system was if I signed a three year monitoring contract!

I do not want to pay for monitoring. All I want is to be able to turn my security system on and off. ADT was paid for the installation of the system as well as having been paid for many years worth of monitoring. The income from this one house FAR exceeds the cost of any real time or labor associated with the system. To provide me with the access codes required to turn my security system on and off would cost them exactly $0.00.

I used to think of ADT as a decent company with good customer service. I previously owned a house with an unmonitored ADT system installed in it and the one time I had trouble with it they quickly told me what was needed to solve the problem. Now I see that they are just money hungry and willing to take advantage of a person in order to line their pockets.

VIVENT Alarm Company

AUTHOR: BenSmi - ()

I was a customer for 5 years.  Our contract of 5 years was coming up last May and we had decided to put our house on the market so we called to tell them we did not want to renew for another year.

They told us we needed to send them a cancellation notification in writing with account number and specific wording signed by the person who held the account.  We did all this and sent the letter to the address specified.  I noticed two months later that we had continued to be charged (it was automatically debiting from my account).  I called and they claimed they never received the cancellation notification.  This was in September.  I immediately rewrote the cancellation letter, signed it and faxed it to them.  I thought we were all set.  I was upset and asked if they woudl refund the last couple months that had been charged since we weren't lving there and the system had been disabled - they were even monitoring it.  They said someone woudl call me and they never did.  I just let it go...and all of a sudden I notice this morning 12/1 that they have been continuing to charge me the last two months!!!!!

I call and the guys says it is our policy that after we receive the notification that we have a follow up call before actually cancelling the account.

Are you friggin kidding me....they are just total and complete scam artists!  I am so frustrated and would really love to file a class action suit against this company.  they now owe me $240 that I am sure I am never going to see.  How can they justify still charging me when they haven't monitored the house in months. The system is completely disabled.

I at least wanted to let others knwo to stay away from this company.

APX Alarm

AUTHOR: KP - ()

Apx Alarm/ Apex Alarm/ SAI Alarm/ Castlerock Alarm **Deceptive sales tactics** Wouldn't take no for an answer** Had installers come within minutes!!! West Provo Utah

PLEASE report them to the FEREAL TRADE COMMISSION at 1-877-FTC-HELP. The FTC cannot do anything without MANY reports.

As others mentioned, the salesman came at dinner time on 6/21/08. I said I wasn't interested, but he wouldn't leave until I said yes. I realized that once the system was installed, I'd be entered into a contract. I'd signed just to get the salesman to leave, intending to cancel immerdiately. But he must have been texting the installers, who rang my doorbell. The salesman let them in & promptly left.

I screamed at them to leave & stop drilling. I was told by the salesman that the unit just "sat on top of my door frame". I told them not to touch my phone line, they did & my phone no longer worked. Prior to that, I told them I'd call the police if they wouldn't leave so they blocked me from my phone.

When they left, I called the company complained about this & asked the representative to send them back to uninstall, but "they were done for the day". I read the contract & knew I had 3 days to cancel. The rep said they never receive cancellations on time. I unplugged the system, took out batteries, etc. I completed the cancellation form & wrote a letter. I faxed it from 6 different places & went to the post office & sent 2 express mails, 2 delivery confirmations, & 1 signature confirmation. I called my bank and closed my account. I filed complaints with the FTC & Better Business Bureau in UT.

They got all my cancellations & removed the eqiptment several days later.

Several days ago, I got a letter from Telecheck & TRS (debt) Recovery Services. I'd been receiving odd phone calls just stating my name & a number. The number matched the number on the debt collection letter. They stated I owed a $39.99 monthly fee & a $30.00 bad check charge & that they'd reported me to all banks, credit unions, credit reporting agencies, etc.

I spent over $30.00 faxing them proof of all the faxes and mail 'd sent over a year before cancelling my contract the same day I'd entered into it. I called the FTC & updated my report. Obviously they are more than unreputable. PLEASE call or go online & file a report with the FTC. We need to get this company, who now has new names, to get put out of business.

they had a rep at my house saying i would be the advertising home and that i can't tell my neighbors about being the advertising home.  they did this big thing with scary stories in it to get me to feel i needed them they told me all this stuff to con me into using them and ADT.  well they offered the same deal to 3 other people in my neighborhood and they told all of us the same thing about being the ad home.  this company comes and trashes all these systems out there and convince you to go with there stuff,

well my neighbor went with security networks and they gave her a awesome system that does so much cool stuff and i told her about what affordable home security told me about the 2 gig system and she laughed.  well i was not laughing because we checked the system out and its just as safe as the crap they talked me into.  I'm stuck with a old out of date system because they lied to me about the other systems out there.  moral of the story they lie to you and they try to scare you into there system don't fall for it oh and she pays less than me for a system that does so much more than what this crap thing does

All Scammers. Comcast Cable Internet security scam Internet

AUTHOR: ticked off by scammers - ()

All these companies are scammers.  We have been a Comcast customer for well over three years.  Our monthly bill averages over $200 and we have never been late paying this bill.  We have CATV and internet with Comcast and have NEVER had a virus issue since we started.

Several months ago, ALL of our in-house computers (3 desktops & 4 laptops - with three different users) started receiving a warning when we open a web browser stating that Xfinity's Constant Guard has detected that we "MAY have a bot" in our computers and that we needed to take "immediate action".  We click on the big red "Take Action Now" button and nothing happens.  Additionally, you can't close the bot window and it has to be continually moved to read the screen.  Incidentally, this alert also appears on our guest's laptops when they visit us, but not on their home Verizon FiOS system.

I called the Comcast number and the tech told me it was a legitimate alert and that I needed to download the free Constant Guard to get rid of the bot.  The tech at Constant Guard also told me she could see the bot, but when I asked her where it was in my computer, she said she couldn't tell me that. I was then told that I had to call Comcast Signature Services.  They then told me they could get rid of the bot for “only $129.99”.  It sounds like a bait and switch scam from a major company.  The Constant Guard is free, yes, but we'd then have to pay Signature Services $129.99 to "get rid" of the bot. Additionally, we'd have to pay an additional $14.00 PER MONTH from now on to remove the offending bot and "ensure future coverage".

I told her "no", and that I wanted a supervisor.  Twice I held for 10-20 minutes and was then simply cut off.  I have yet to speak with anyone other than the "customer service" people.  When I called the third time, I was simply switched to a recording advising me to go to "www.northern.com/comcastchat" to remove the bot myself.  This site comes up with a generic web page with nothing about Comcast.

While on hold with Comcast, I Googled "Bot-clearing scams from Comcast" and found quite a few different forums in which the posters were complaining about the same exact situation.  A couple of them stated that even some of the outside service techs at Comcast had told them that they feel that it's really a big sales scam.

I have current, updated Norton 360 Antivirus on all of the computers, which I update and run virtually every day as we also use these laptops at work and are very security conscious.  I do a complete scan with Norton after the usual (read CONTINUAL) BOT alerts and Norton continually tells me that there is no malware or viruses on the computer.  We have NO issues with any other program(s) or other computer function(s) or interaction(s).  We also downloaded and scanned with Microsoft Safety Scanner, which is updated every three days or so, and it finds nothing.

The IT department at work has checked our laptops, as a precaution, and found no issues.  These laptops are used at twelve different locations in a private company and at multiple local government facilities with NO issues.

Something stinks here!  I hate to say it, but I am now convinced that Comcast is simply running a scare tactic sales pitch.

Have had multiple false alarm issues with the Protection1 system.  I've had to provide my key and pass code to neighbors to come in my house while I'm gone and have them shut the system down.  Have had a Protection1 service inspect and give the okay everything is good, but system continues to malfunction.

I called Protection1 to cancel and was talked down to, to try to pressure me to stay with them.  I refused to continue with their service and was then told that although I'm canceling my service affective today I will not be reimbursed for my prepayment of December and January.  Also, cancelling over the phone is not acceptable.  They require an email cancelation request and if not received within 7 days they will continue to bill me and take you to a collection agency if you don't pay up.   Protection1 is stealing from me for 2 months of service that I will not be receiving.  I have sent the email request to cancel but have not received any acknowledgment of it.  Stay away from this company!  Read the reviews others have posted on cancelling with them.  Fortunately I was with them over the 3 years otherwise this could have been hundreds of dollars in theft!

Let news report what this guy did

AUTHOR: C. Yellen - ()

I said before this thread is too long, you have stupid people on here writing about Smackdown, and I think anything about him killing that girl should not be here but in its own thread..  This isn't a global issue, but an employee of the Protection Bureau trying to steal clients is a major problem if the Protection Bureau is to protect peoples homes and lives yet they don't properly check out their employees for this type of conflict.  They should never have hired him but when they found out what he did, they should have fired him without a second thought.  If he did it here he probably did it other times and who knows how much business was lost because of him.  But anyway, still doesn't need this many posts and if they had fired him like they should of this post would have been shut down ling ago. Let the TV news report and expose this and we can focus on something worth our time, not these dregs.

Day By Day Manipulative Practices, Dodging Calls, Refusing Refunds Philadelphia Pennsylvania

AUTHOR: VinnyV - ()

My partner and I pursued Day-By-Day as a caterer for our wedding in the summer of 2013. I mainly worked with Stephen, their catering manager at the time.

When I initially talked to Stephen in early July, he asked what other quotes we had gotten and what our budget was. I made it clear that our budget was $2500 maximum, including serving dishes and anything that needs to be rented for catering purposes. He said that was fine.  When we got updated menu with prices I assumed that included silverware, plates, serving dishes, etc since it was so much over the budget we discussed

Stephen said that everything was included but we could upgrade to disposable silverware and plates for an additional cost. When we met with him he told us he would again work with our budget, and raved at how inexpensive our rentals would be, because we would only need 2 or 3 tables and some chairs.  He said he would also send us info about a grill he needed and a table for catering purposes. We put down $500 at this time to secure Day-By-Day's service

I contacted him on August 20th to verify, very clearly asking if non-disposable tableware is included. He replied but didn't answer the question. I contacted him a few weeks later asking what needed to be rented for catering purposes, again asking him to very that non-disposable tableware is included. He said he could upgrade the tableware to plasticware for $1.50 per person. The key word is upgrade, which implies that something is included in the first place to be improved upon. The only rentals he said were needed were three tables and a gas grill.

Stephen continued to imply that we wouldn't have to rent anything beyond a grill and some tables, so we put our rental budget towards the difference.

On August 31st -- a little over a month before my wedding -- I sent an email asking very clearly about silverware, plates, glassware being included, and about offering soy milk at the coffee station. On September 4th he replied, not answering the question about soy milk, but now saying that if we're not interested in disposable silverware we have to rent it, along with plates and glassware. The exact opposite of what he had said upfront.

I believe he was acting maliciously by changing the story a month before the wedding, when it's too late to find another caterer, and too late to schedule additional rentals. He also never told us of the service costs involved, and we were only notified with the contract he sent as an attachment. This caused our initial cost of $2500 + 2-3 tables and a grill to rise to over $6000. He waited until a month before the wedding to let us know everything, and it is unacceptable. When I expressed disatisfaction, he countered by insisting that we'd never be able to find another caterer with so little time before the wedding. He said we were stuck with Day-By-Day.

This is all in addition to not letting us try the food we were paying for. After paying $500 he said it wouldn't be possible to do a tasting. I've never heard of a place that does wedding catering but doesn't offer tastings.  When we asked again the following month Stephen said that we could come in for lunch some time. That's not a tasting. We had already eaten lunch there, that's why we chose Day By Day in the first place.

When I phoned the owner to talk to her about this, she put me on the phone with Stephen rather than listening to my issues and trying to help resolve them. Stephen hung up on me. I then got an email from the owner saying that they would not return my $500 because "a lot of work went into planning" the catering.

The $500 was sent under the assumption Day by Day would work with us at our budget of $2500 for 80 guests, and was not a deposit, nor was a contract signed. We can appreciate that work went into the planning, but we can't be responsible for paying for time unless we were told of it up front. We truly wished to work with Day by Day, but it is unacceptable for us to sign a contract with a company that would double our costs without any regard for our budget.

The bottom line is that Day by Day was unable to provide the service we requested at the price they told us they would do. While we were prepared for a smaller increase in price, paying more than double the original quote for just 80 guests is unacceptable. We did not sign a contract, and simply sent in the $500 to hold until we had a contract.

Militia Hill Security

AUTHOR: Militia Hill Security - ()

The problems the Protection Bureau has with Hiring its competiton Sandy Hill Security who tries to steal clients is never drama someone in need of security wants.  Militia Hill Security is the example of professionalism.

Militia Hill Security, Inc. installs and services security systems, fire alarms, access and video surveillance equipment. The company was founded over 20 years ago. Militia Hill Security's mission is to create a work environment that encourages its employees to pursue new ideas and to keep up with the ever changing technology. Focus is put on the needs of the customer, and the company invests in the technology to keep it on the cutting edge of the industry.

Customer service and satisfaction are top priorities in our business philosophy. Our company is one of the few alarm companies that does not lock customers into a contract for a number of years. We feel our customers should stay with us because they want to, not because they are forced by contract to do so.

Alarm accounts are monitored by our central station monitoring facility, Security Alarm Monitoring (SAM). SAM is located in Woodlyn, PA Delaware County and is certified by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (U.L.#916570-001).

OK....

AUTHOR: Tyg - ()

Let me be the voice of reason here. I have read EVERY post. What I see is this. A service tech tells a current customer that they should go with a different company while representing the original company. EVERYONE here is placing the blame on a WHOLE company. As NONE of us were there at the time this incident occured, ANYTHING we post is simply an assumption.

Its more then likely that the tech/installer USED to work for the company he suggested. As such what he would have given is his OPINION!!!! They may have hired him knowing he HAD worked at a competitor and may have thought he would be a good fit. Unfortunatly it looks like this tech gave his OPINION to the wrong ppl. I see everyone is sitting there useing "circular logic" including the original poster. "How can a company protect its customers when it cant even protect itself".

What the service tech did was UNEXCUSABLE in the fact that he should have gone in and done as he was instructed to by his current employer. The tech GIVING HIS OPINION as to the services provided by his current employer was a serious NONO!! But it wouldnt change the fact that this tech would have gone into a field parallel to what he was working previously. Hence an employee from one security company working for another security company. Im sure this tech was probably fired from his previous employer.

All of this aside, it still doesnt change the fact that the OP is more then a bit PARANOID. First, since no scam was ACTUALLY performed, all of this BS drama is on YOU. What the tech did was give their OPINION as to which was the better service. YOU blew this out of proportion. If your "client" was SO OFFENDED, they would have left the original company and gone with a more reputable name such as ADT. But given the price structure of ADT, It can safely be assumed that they DID NOT want to pay that much. Secondly, where I find CoDBo posts to assinine and repetative. IT IS THEIR RIGHT!!! And telling someone they cant do something without the power to back it up is almost as assinine. Third, I have to agree with CoDBo in only one aspect. It is very clear that the OP has issues with the english laungauge. Its the simple mistakes that show this. But I dont feel the "Green Card" attacks are warrented. America was and is built BY IMMIGRANTS. CoDBo Im sure if you look back you will see that some of your own relations came from another country. For you to sit there and bash someone because of the difficulty of writing in the english language simple goes to show YOUR lack of breeding and education. Your use of the "SMACKDOWN" analogy goes to show both your upbringing and simple rural mentality. Dont like that? TOO BAD!!!

Yes in only one aspect is this funny. Once the rest of the facts come out by reading the posts, it tends to lose any humor it had. The rest of the BS and DRAMA can be avoided by giving the Protection ppl the information so they could attempt to make it right. To do ANYTHING else "Steven" is just YOU attempting a form of internet blackmail. Not a very cool thing to be doing in todays age. I mean the FBI and their ICE division tend to go after ppl that do this.

Optics Planet eBay user opticsplanet OpticsPlanet, Inc. Another attempt to bait and switch? You decide.

AUTHOR: Bear268 - ()

Ordered a Simmons 20-60 ProSport Spotting Scope w/ Tripod & Cases: 841101 off eBay not realizing Optics Planet was the seller.  Not surprisingly, I received an email a few days later saying that the item was no longer in stock and that they would gladly ship a replacement of similar cost and quality.  What they wanted to ship me was a cheap but over priced hunk of garbage that has extremely poor reviews all over the internet.

Normally when a product I order turns out to be out of stock, I don't think much of it and just cancel the order.  The reason I am posting a complaint is that this is the fourth time Optics Planet has done this to me and I am convince they are doing a bait and switch by offering great products for a reasonable price, then saying that they are out of stock and offering of inferior quality that they make allot more profit off of.  I've never actually taken delivery of something I have ordered from Optics Planet because they have never been able to fulfill my orders. Ever. Not once.

My bad for not paying attention to who the seller was but I wanted to make all who care to research this company aware that they are at best incredibly incompetent at worst comitting fraud over at Optics Planet and you should stear clear of them, not matter how good the deal seams.

Was Sandy Hill Security trying to sell different equipment to your client or just sell the same equipment but for cheaper?  When I called Sales Department at Home Security Store they kept transferring me to another pseron because no one wanted to help.

Home Security Store Advertises tech support; sells you overpriced alarm systems/components, then fails to support them

AUTHOR: Ngyuen - ()

I have purchased 2-3 alarm systems under different accounts from Home Security Store. I installed each system. Never had any issues. I have a background in electronics, high tech capital equipment field repairs, military avionics, etcetera. Also have much experience in computer and proprietary software, as found in these home alarm systems. Installing these rather low tech systems is relatively easy.

I have a GE Simon XT system. I wanted to add a couple outdoor motion sensors. Home Security Store sells the OPTEX VX-402R outdoor motion sensors. While their site does list compatible transmitters for the sensor, they don't come right out and tell you that you need to purchase a TRANSMITTER to go with the sensor. No issue. I had spare door sensors.

I followed their installation instructional video, which tells you how to connect the transmitter to the motion sensor. Trust me, it is HOKEY

While Home Security Store are not responsible for the design, they are responsible for selling crap like this to customers like me. They could choose to go with a quality sensor that perhaps already has a transmitter in it, not requiring their customers to maintain batteries in TWO devices, perform wiring, troublehooting the inevitable constant "Sensor open" and "Tamper" errors.

I installed the wiring for the motion sensor to connect to the transmitter. I wired the 9 volt battery too. I installed the transmitter case into the main housing of the motion sensor. I ended up with constant "Tamper" errors and "sensor open" errors. Because I am not a moron, I understand that the "tamper" error relates to the seating of the transmitter cover, inside the sealed motion sensor. I understand that the "sensor open" refers to the state of the motion sensor, being transmitted back to the alarm panel. Try as I might, for four hours spent on the issues, I couldn't ever get both errors cleared on the two external motion sensors.

So, for the first time in two-three alarm installations with items purchased from the Home Security Store, I call the Home Security Store for help; help with the installation of the sensors that I PURCHASED FROM THEM A FEW DAYS AGO... in an order of 3 items, totaling $333.18 .

I spoke to a tech in their tech support department. fter giving him my account information and letting him know the model of the external sensors I purchased from Home Security Store, I told the guy that I am installing the aforementioned sensors on a GE Simon XT alarm panel that I already owned. I told him the issues I was having. He wanted to know if I was using the "MCT" transmitter model... which is not used on GE Simon XT systems; clearly, the tech support needs tech support. I informed him that I was using the VISONIC MODEL recommended by Home Security Store. Next, the guy tells me that he wants to "stick with the facts"; he said that the "tamper" error was due to the transmitter cover. Next, he told me that I didn't purchase my alarm panel through them, indicating I am not entitled to their help. I guess these are the facts the tech support rocket scientist wanted to stick to.

I told him that I purchased the MOTION SENSORS through the Home Security Store and that I needed help with installing them, not with installing the alarm panel which was already installed. At this point, I told him that I would take the trash items out in my yard and beat them with a sledgehammer, sending the remains to them. I also expressed that, after purchasing 3 alarm systems and various other orders for accessories (I have $600 worth of them on my account alone), I would never spend another dime at the Home Security Store.

I called their Sales Department, to express my outrage. I had to go through the entire saga again. I was transferred to another person... who wanted the saga repeated yet again. Her response? Did she offer to make good? Get help? Anything? No. She said "go ahead".

Trust me. These clowns do not deserve their BBB "A" rating. I imagine they have it because they sought BBB Accreditation. I will be filing a BBB complaint in the near future. My loss but it will be MY LAST LOSS from Home Security Store.

BUYER BEWARE!

Legacy Food Storage, LegacyFoodStorage.com, PrepareWise.com, BuyEmergencyFoods.com, FoodQualityCouncil.org Claim of Non GMO is not Accurate Salt Lake City Utah

AUTHOR: jmontoya - ()

Legacy Food Storage False Claims about 100% GMO FREE Certification

Since, approximately, November 2012, Legacy Food Storage has promoted that they are 100% GMO Free. That may be the case but, the details behind the certification are worth reviewing.  Below you will find information that is publicly available about Legacy and the certifying organization called the Food Quality Council.

Legacy Food Storage is sold Online by sites that are owned or are affiliates of Legacy Food Storage.  They aggressively market food storage by comparative analysis between Legacy and competitors. The Legacy site is critical many of the major competitors.

Legacy Food Storage has an official certification document declaring that they are “100% GMO FREE.” That document is signed by a person named Roger Mickelsen with a title of “Certified Quality Manager.” This document has a date of 12-4-12. An image of the certificate can be found below but the certificate can also be found on the Legacy site here: http://www.legacyfoodstorage.com/index.php/features.html#

Legacy Food Storage creates various sites; many of them have, at some point, referenced a single PO Box address (PO Box 2070. Salt Lake City, UT 84110).   When pushed, the Legacy team will explain that all of the entities are separate and different (see an example of how they explain it here:http://www.survivalistboards.com/showthread.php?p=4294557 ).

A Google search of the terms [PO "Box 2070" Salt Lake City, UT "84110" "Food"] will generate a resulting search of six web domains that have referenced the above address.

 They are:

Freelegacyfood.com

Preparewise.com

Buyemergencyfoods.com

Legacypremiumfoods.com

Legacyfoodstorage.com

Wisefoodinsurance.com

Food Quality Council in Salt Lake City Utah.

Who is behind the Food Quality Council?

The Legal entity under the name of “Food Quality Council, LLC” was filed in Salt Lake City Utah by Brian L Twede on November 2nd, 2012; that was four weeks before Legacy received Certification as being “100% GMO Free” (see images from State of Utah with date and name of registrant).

The Food Quality Council domain was registered on October 31st, 2012, which is 43 days before the 100% GMO Free certification was given to Legacy.     Information on the domain registry for FoodQualityCouncil.org can be found here:http://whois.net/whois/foodqualitycouncil.org . (also see screenshot of the whois information on the registrant at the time of publishing of this document to be Brian L Twede.)

The address of record for the Food Quality Council (840 West 1700 South) is also the address for Twede Photography (see screenshot of contact address for twede.com along with screenshot of state of Utah registration details).

On the surface, The FoodQualityCouncil.org website reports to be independent and non-biased with a devotion to enforcing industry standards. The site is registered to Brian Twede of Salt Lake who is a Professional Photographer. His website and some of his work can be found at www.twede.com.

Under his gallery of work, one will find a food section. In that food section, there are images that were, presumably, taken by Brian Twede, but are also used by the Legacy Food Storage Company to promote their product (see side-by-side images of pancakes on both the Twede.com website as well as the Legacy website).

If the individual that owns the organization that “certified” the Legacy product line as being 100% GMO FREE is the same person who is either affiliated, engaged, or employed by Legacy as a photographer, it would call into serious question Food Quality Council’s claim of independence.

Even though the Food Quality Council gave their approval to the Legacy product over 7 months ago (at time of research), they do not promote the certification of any other organization other than Legacy.

This is somewhat surprising since the charter style statement of the Food Quality Council states on their website that:

“The Food Quality Council is an organization that is impartial. Our group doesn't make food, or sell food. We are the people who will test your food, evaluate it, rate it, and publish our findings.”

And

“As the time go by, more companies will be added to the ranks and earn the Food That Stores™ seal of approval.”

(link: http://foodqualitycouncil.org/Food_Quality_Council/About_Us.html ) See screenshot of the “A Little About Us” page of the Food Quality Council website.

 GMO testing:

When asked directly about the GMO testing process, the NON GMO Project (http://www.nongmoproject.org) stated that their testing period takes a minimum of 6 weeks and can last as long as 6 months.

Seeing that the Food Quality Council was a legal entity for only 4 weeks before Legacy received “Certification,” it creates concern that the process was “Independent,” or from a “3rd party” or that it was thorough.

Relative to the process, the NON GMO Project states on their website that certain “High-risk Crops must be tested every time prior to use in Non-GMO Project Verified Projects.”  This is a very rigorous standard but their certification comes with high level of certainty that consumers will not be consuming products that have been genetically modified.

GMO is a hot button issue and one that is very important to a segment of the population who are determined to not consume anything except NON-GMO goods.  For the NON GMO Project, the High-Risk Crops include some of the ingredients that Legacy uses. The NON GMO Project states that 88% of the Corn and 94% of the Soy grown in 2011 were “High Risk.”

Legacy includes on their various sites, on their product packaging, and on their adverts in a very prominent fashion that they are “Certified 100% GMO FREE” (see image of promotional banner with an arrow to the Certified badge).

Some industry experts talk about the extremely cost prohibitive and invasive process of becoming certified as NON-GMO. The expense and rigors create a high barrier to entry for those who would like to earn certification.  With a GMO Free certification, one company could gather a high percentage of the business from people who want food storage and want it to be 100% GMO Free. Again, Legacy might have a product that truly is 100% GMO FREE.

The “Certificate” on the Legacy site from the Food Quality Council certifies with 100% certainty that the product is GMO FREE. Here is the wording that was transcribed from the certificate:

“The Food Quality Council is aware of increased public concern over the use of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO’s) in our food supply.

To that end, Food Quality Council has conducted a review of each ingredient used in the formulation of Legacy Premium Food Storage products. During this review process, Food Quality Council has requested, compiled, and examined documents provided by the manufacturers of each ingredient used in the manufacturing of Legacy Premium products – specifically regarding each suppliers’ position related to the use of Non-GMP and GMO-Free components in formulation of the ingredients which are used in the Legacy Premium products.

After careful review of over two hundred original documents, covering each ingredient used in the production of Legacy Premium Food Storage products, we are able to certify this line of products GMO Free.”

It appears that the analysis by the Food Quality Council required for certification of “100% GMO Free” was completed by a review of documentation from the manufacturer of the ingredients with out a reference to the types of tests that performed by organizations like NON GMO Project.

Summary points:

  • Legacy Food owns or affiliates with the owners of various websites.
  • Legacy states that they are “Certified 100% GMO FREE.”
  • Industry experts question the possibility that the products are Certified as being 100% GMO FREE in the same way that other product are certified by other certifying agencies.
  • A certification of Legacy offering a product that is 100% GMO FREE is documented to come from the Food Quality Council in Salt Lake City and Legacy appears to have no other validation referenced.
  • Brian Twede created the Food Quality Council as a legal entity in the State of Utah on November 2nd, 2012.
  • December 4th, 2012 is the date of signature of the 100% GMO FREE certificate for Legacy Food; that is 4 weeks after the legal entity was formed.
  • Even though the NON GMO Project stated that their testing process takes a minimum of 6 weeks and can last up to 6 months, The Food Quality Council Certified Legacy as 100% GMO FREE 4 weeks after opening their doors.
  • Brian Twede who is a photographer in Salt Lake City with experience in food photography and some of the Food photos profiled on Brian Twede’s website are also on the Legacy website to promote the Legacy product.
  • If there were a professional or financial relationship between the Food Quality Council and Legacy, it would contradict the claim of independence.
  • The GMO Free certificate suggests that the certification was based on a review of documentation and not a test of the individual ingredients for Genetic Modification.
  • This is an important issue. In the Food Quality Councils own words: “The Food Quality Council is aware of increased public concern over the use of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO’s) in our food supply.”
  • The relationship between Legacy and the Food Quality Council appears convenient in its timing, its connections, and potentially its standards for independence and certification.
  • The analysis by the Food Quality Council appears to be exclusive to the Legacy product.

Beware!! Fake health tests Add for 100% European Doberman stuservice (Los angeles)

AUTHOR: Doberman Patrol - ()

Doberman community. Please be aware of a scam artist advertising his European Doberman stud Red bull king of Darkness. Health tests are fake !!! Doberman is a VWD CARRIER and hip tests are fake.. The owner of this dog already scam a couple breeders here in California with fake health tests. Go to OFA and check his health results
http://www.offa.org/

Brucellosis is a bacterial infection which affects the reproductive organs of both male and female dogs .. Females can acquire the disease through breeding with an infected male. This is of particular concern to breeders, because males can harbor the bacteria for life.

Doberman community beware of Red Bull King of Darkness fake health certificates and fake dog photos. Geralad is copy right photos of President a dog from King Of darkness kennel in Hungary, Europe. The owner is advertising his dog everywhere on the Internet with fake health certificates. Red Bull king of Darkness AKA Alonzo is a Vwd Carrier and not Vwd Clear. You can verify His health testing with this Orthopedic Foundation for Animals   http://www.offa.org/

Gerald is also claiming his dog to have excellent hips and this is not true because only his Vwd and thyroid are done. I would also verify his Brucellosis test . Brucellosis is a bacterial infection which affects the reproductive organs of both male and female dogs ..Females can acquire the disease through breeding with an infected male. This is very alarming concern to breeders  because males can harbor the bacteria for life.

Gerald is a bad bussines person because he has a bad reputation with the Doberman community here in CalifornIa. He already scam a couple breeders with his dogs fake health certificates. He does not care about the Doberman bred and will stud out his dog to anyone for a cheap stud fee $750.00. He will stud his dog out to Vwd carrier dogs and there is already proof of this in the Doberman community. Gerald does care if he produces Vwd affected puppy's and there is proof in the Doberman community he bred Alonzo a Vwd Carrier to another  Vwd carrier female. He took no action to help the owner of the Vwd carrier female and ls screwed him over with Vwd affected puppys..  All this information is verifyable and not fradugelent like his dogs health certificates..  He told the owner of the carrier female his dog was Vwd clear Because he was advertising his dog as a Vwd Clear dog. He continues to advertise his dog as Vwd clear on the Internet, specially Craig list Forum.

Doberman community please help stop this individual fradugelent behavior  and help protect our Doberman bred. Spread the news with all the reputable breeders and share this page. On Facebook there is also a warning about his dogs fake health cerificates. Go to Facebook and look under European working line Dobermans Group.

Doberman bred  already has health issues and we do not need Richard  falsely advertising his dogs health . Producing Vwd Affected puppy's is Alarming and should not be allowed....

I strongly encourage everyone to post to this report and help stop  Gerald Antoine Doberman stud owner of Red Bull King Of Darkness Aka Alonzon from scamming another Doberman breeder looking for a health tested dog with verifiable health certificates from OFA. Thankyou for reading this rip off report and helping protect our doberman bred.

Bait & Switch?

AUTHOR: The Protection Bureau - ()

First of all, we would love to be able to respond to this, but since it it so anonymous and we do not have any way to question, research or validate this claim . . . . a rebuttal is almost a moot point. We have tried to research Steven Levin Enterprises, and cannot find a thing about them.  As far as a bait and switch . . .

We HAVE investigated this with our entire staff,  and nothing is known about this supposed incident.  We can tell you that our entire staff is vetted.  All we can gather is that there must have been some kind of misunderstanding or miscommunincation. If the client with the actual complaint would like to contact our Client Care Advocate at 610.903.4900 and provide details, we'd love to be able to research this further and reply will full knowledge.

The Protection Bureau is known for its high standards and has been a family run business since 1975.  Within the past several years, we've won awards for both Installer and Dealer of the year from our peers in the industry, and have a great relationship with our clients. This recognition was due to our outstanding customer service program.  If any of our clients have an issue, they have numerous ways to contact us with any comments, suggestions.

Our team bends over backward to assure 100% client satisfaction.  The Client Care division calls all of our clients at three points - upon receipt of a job they place a thank you call for the business; a call to follow up on any service or installation, and a letter each year of their anniversary which includes contact information, surveys and an opportunity to let us know how we're doing.  So, as you can see, they have ample opportunity and time to bring to light any issues they may have, and we would respond with an open mind and resolution.

We respectfully ask that if this cannot be verified, that this complaint be retracted.
