In September of 2005 I was out of a job and a ripe candidate for a rip-off, which is exactly what I received. After checking out several work-at-home web-sites, I was contacted several times by The Results Group. Every time they called a different sales representative would tell me that some of their customers were pulling in $5,000 a month through the web sites that TRG set up for them.
Their pitch was semi-logical-big companies such as Amazon and Windows Casino wanted little people like me to put up websites that would link potential customers from my site to theirs, and if the customer purchased something or gambled, a portion of that amount would be rebated to me each month.
Of course, no sales EVER materialized, even though TRG claimed that my site had over 1500 "visitors." When I asked for their promised advertising help, a TRG rep left a phone message that instructed me to advertise on some free advertising sites. I visited one of the recommended sites but what was I selling? The sites he directed me to were classified sites, selling individual items.
In September 2006 I contacted the company. I was very angry at them (and myself) for being simultaneously greedy and stupid. After a few days of trying I finally contacted TRG's Mike Martin, who said that he would definitely NOT refund my initial money of $300, nor would he refund the $2,900 I spent on all the wonderful upgrades they put on my web-site.
At this point I would be delighted with the return of my "investment" in this fraudulent enterprise, but I also believe they should be run out of business so that others like me will not be victimized.
Calling Mr. Martin did not get me a refund so now I must get help from an agency that has the authority to prosecute these rascals.
