I purchased a Sofa recliner, Love seat recliner, a recliner AND a 5 YEAR WARRANTY FROM The Room Place on 7/7/08 for $2714.98, the warranty covers breaking or bending of mechanisms in recliners and sleeper sofas. There also is a no-lemon policy stating if your product fails 3 times due to the same failure during the plan term they will replace or give cash settlement. The mechanism to operate the reclining portion of the sofa has recently broken for the 5th time. On the 4th time I was told there were only 2 records of anyone coming out to the house to fix the issue on the sofa? They sent someone out and fixed it. Recently it broke again for the 5th time and I question them about their no-lemon policy again and again was told there was only 2 records of any 1 coming out to the house to fix the sofa . I asked the Manager I believe her name was Rose if instead of honoring their no-lemon policy if they were just going to continue to fix the furniture till my warranty was up and they were done with me she replied yes. The repair work is contracted out to US Quality Furniture (800) 774-8700 and I contacted them about how many times they have come to the house. They have 4 records; March 16th Ref# 235E04F6, April 8th Ref 235E04F6, July 6th Ref# 335578CH, Aug 30th Ref# 335578C8. Federal Warranty denies this. We purchased the furniture from the Room Place in Lombard IL Sales Receipt Ref# 19092125 (630) 261-3900 and supposedly they sold the warranty to Federal Warranty Corp witch makes no difference to me they sold the warranty to me. I was looking online and I am not the first person that the Room Place and the Federal Warranty Corp has chosen not to honor their part of the agreement. As well as never buying one of their products again I will never shop at the Room Place and will tell everyone I know not to do the same for the rest of my life, not that they care. I have copies of all receipts, the reference #s and the broken furniture I can provide. Thank you for your help in this matter. Any further information you need I can provide and can be reached at (708) 373-7710 In order for a resolution all I want is for The Room Place or Federal Warranty Corp to HONOR their no leman policy by replacing the piece of furniture or a cash settlement like the warranty plan that I purchased says.
