I was looking for sheets as a birthday present for my wife when I cam across the SHEET PEOPLES website. I saw a ad for 1500 count sheets for 39.95. Looked like a good deal so I ordered them, 3 set's at 820pm on a friday night online 10/20/2012. I looked at a few more websites after I placed the order and noticed how much higher their prices were for the same type sheets. I know nothing about sheets! So I then started to get nervous about my purchase and started to look into the SHEET PEOPLE. I was startled when I started reading the online complaints about this company! Within 20 minutes of placing this order I went back and cancelled, sent detailed emails and called the after hours customer service number and told them CANCEL, DO NOT PROCESS. Remember this is friday night 820pm and they say that they ship Mon-Fri from 9-5. So on tue 10/23/2012 I check to the status of my cancelation, check for a returned email etc NOTHING! So I check my online banking staement and see that the charge was processed in disregards of my instructions to cancel. So I call the Sheet peoples customer service number again 219 796-3499 and someone named Kevin ansewered the phone HELLO, like I called someones house not a business. After I verified that I in fact had the correct number I asked why my order had been processed after I had sent instructios to cancel. I was told to take it up with my bank not him, that I had placed a order and that was that! Well after that statement this discussion becamed a heated one. Kevin told me that I did not want to mess with him that he had my name, address etc impying that he could do HARM to me! Called me names, told me to grow a pair of balls and much more I kept calling back trying to get someone else on the phone and each time he picked up the phone and before I even said anything he knew it was me like caller ID and started calling me names! I had to go to my bank cancel my bank card for fear of what else might get charged to it, file a dispute etc! WHAT A NIGHTMARE! I now have to worry about me personal info that I provded to these CRIMINALS. All because I wanted to bye my wife some nice sheets! GOD HELP YOU IF YOU DEAL WITH THIS SCAM OUTFIT!!!!
