Why not just quit the club? That is what I did. I joined a mega gym that is cheaper anyway and stays open 24 hours.
I daresay that The Sporting Club will fold in 2 years. So you will not get any return on you 40 dollar/year investment anyway.
The Club is seriously outdated ( 90's style is so yesterday) Their policies are unsustainable (e.g. closing at 10PM ) and they will not be able to compete with the brand new mega gyms coming up all over San Diego.
