Ripoff Report REVIEW: Editor's UDATE: Positive Rating and Recognition has been given to The Tax Club for its Commitment to Excellence in customer service. The Tax Club has worked tirelessly with Rip-off Report to resolve issues and concerns expressed by past clients and have shown a pattern of commitment to total customer satisfaction. Rip-off Report recognized the depth of this commitment after learning that, despite the low number of total complaints, The Tax Club's executive team took active measures to resolve any and all concerns in a prompt and professional manner. Also in the investigation, Rip-off Report discovered that many of the claims made against the Tax Club were already resolved by The Tax Club, many stated their compliant was premature, Rip-off Report also feels a hand full of complaints were suspicious and were falsely created by competitors and some might have been posted by disgruntled ex-employees in an effort to harm the company's good name. For a firm who deals with such a large and diverse clientele, The Tax Club's attention to detail has been impressive and a testament to their dedication to customer service.

It is our opinion that small business owners can feel confident in the fact that The Tax Club has worked with nearly half a million businesses nationwide. They are innovators in their field and have helped thousands of clients by providing customized tax solutions via a communication platform unrivaled in their industry.

The Tax Club recognizes that legitimate complaints posted on Rip-off Report are issues that need to be addressed and if handled correctly can be valuable learning opportunities. ===================== NOW TO THE ORIGINAL REPORT THAT WAS FILED

The Tax Club Charges the consumer enormous amount of money and don't follow through on promises of refund even in the absence of no contracts and no services rendered!  We've been trying to get thousands of dollars back for more than a year! New York New York

Last year we took clients and employees to the Wealth Expo in Dallas sponsored by the Learning Annex. Later we were contacted by The Tax Club saying they were connected to the Learning Annex and had a service to offer. We called the Learning Annex and they confirmed this connection.

When we initially spoke to the Tax Club they explained we could have a "face to face" meeting with corporate attorneys who could restructure our business entities and save us money on taxes. We knew this was the key to saving valuable tax dollars for our family. The "face to face" was supposed to be in Dallas Texas, a three hour drive away. Had we not been assured of this meeting we would never have signed up for their services, the complexities of our businesses and family mandated the need for a personal meeting. Based on their assurances we would have this personal interview we paid the funds.

We began to receive calls to set up various appointments, we explained the very first thing we wanted was the meeting with the corporate attorneys- each time we were met with confusion as to why we would be told this, each person promised to have someone in management call us about it. They were very aggressive in trying to set up appointments but short on keeping their promises to have someone in management contact us about the "face to face" meeting. We soon realized something wasn't right.

It didn't matter where we had to meet, Nevada was mentioned, New York also, we were willing to go to the extra expense to have the meeting but no arrangements were forth coming from the Tax Club- apparently that is not a service they offer despite having been assured of this in the beginning-we had been misled. We never signed any contracts and refused to take any of the conference calls until the matter of the "face to face" could be resolved. After about 9 months of calls, we reached the client retention department and explained we wanted a full refund of all our monies. After reviewing the notes in their system, our story was confirmed and we were told that a refund would be given. Now several months later, and many more calls and messages left, more promises made they will immediately take care of our refund and still no refund has been received.

Today they attempted to get us to sign paperwork that gave a limited refund minus a 15% administrative fee and no refund of the monthly fees they had been charging our account. All after yesterday being assured that the full refund would be processed immediately.

I have spent countless hours calling, leaving messages, being placed on hold for as long as 30 minutes waiting for a manager that never picks up. We've been in touch with Vannessa, a manager in cancellations, that assured us she would take care of our refund personally- she lied...And she has lied repeatedly over the last couple of months. We've not been able to resolve this despite more than a year of effort. I wish I had known about this site before we signed with the Tax Club- it would seem we are not alone in this.

We thought we had verified the legitimacy of this company only to be ripped off to the tune of thousands of dollars. I don't think much of the Learning Annex either at this stage, they were also notified of the issue and have not responded.

There are laws against this kind of consumer fraud. We owe it to our fellow citizens to report companies like The Tax Club so they know what kind of company this is. I am thankful to this site for giving me the opportunity to tell our story and perhaps save another family from going through the same problems.

The Tax Club finally refunds our money.

AUTHOR: Karen - (U.S.A.)

Upon learning of this site, and entering my own unpleasant experiences with the Tax Club, I notified the company of our submission. I also shared that I had learned I wasn't alone with the problems we were having with the Tax Club and perhaps they needed to check the site out for themselves.

We have since then received a full refund. Not only did they refund the upfront expense (which was much higher than others had quoted paying) but they waived their 15% administration fee and refunded all the monthly expenses. The monthly fees were finally agreed to only after again reminding them they had no contract with us.

While thankful to have received our nearly $5,000 back, this took an enormous amount of time to accomplish. I wish I had known of this site much earlier and will research it often in the future. I hope that our experience will be of some help to others and I thank those that came before us and shared their experiences with the Tax Club.
