This UPs store loved to RipOff thier customers. Today I went in to mail off two padded envelopes. First one was a 6 x 9 that weighed 2oz. Second one was a 12 x 10 and weighed 8oz. They charged me a total of 21.00 to send these off. I just wanted First Class with Tracking. That should have been no more than 4 dollars a piece!!! Then I called to talk about these charges and the nice little lady of a manager raised her voice and argued with me the whole time and then ended up hanging up on me! I would recommend staying away from this location at all costs. Hidden charges galore. Unpleasant employees. Aweful Manager!!!!! HORRIBLE!!!!

Where were the hidden charges?

AUTHOR: Mark L. - ()

I own and operate a shipping facility similar to a UPS store. Why are you expecting post office prices at a different business. Isn't that a bit daft? If you want postal prices, go to the post office. JUst don't ask for the UPS and FedEx services at the post office.

When talking about tracking at UPS or FedEx, don't insult them with saying the post office has "tracking". There is no comparison. You want postal "tracking", the great! It's only 20 cents, and it's worthless. All it shows it that it was delivered. No GPS coordinates like UPS uses. No signature. No gauranteed date. No online times of package activity. Not even any proof it was delivered to the right address. Even if the package is delivered to the right address, the recipient, honestly or dishonestly can still say they never received it and you have no proof with that worthless postal "tracking". I call the postal service we offer a 'necessary evil'. We get by far mor complaints about the post office than all other carriers put together. There's a reason they're bankrupt. Many, actually.

You paid for and received real tracking. You received free insurance ($100). You can look online anytime to see details of the transit. If you still want the post office price, go to the post office. Big deal. I get the impression about you, though, that you'll be at the front of the line pissing and moaning when your postal mail is claimed to be missing with zero recourse. You can have the cheapest price and the premium service. UPS and FedEx are a good comprimise, but you go right ahead and complain.

And then tell us. How would you operate your shipping/mailing business to provide for the public what you demand? Offer a detail breakdown as to how you can successfully offer GPS service with point by point tracking with everyone that handles the package during transit, all for 20 cents. If you can, do it. Instead of UPS, you'll easily become the biggest shipping business in the world. Go for it!
