I found this company using Google for Sheets. I chose their link and studied it carefully. Impressive web site. Noted hat if one buys 2 of anything, a double charge for "shipping and handling" will be applied. $8.95 for item #1 and %5.95 for item #2.
I had a question on "Size" menu. How to interpret. They informed me that the drop-down menu lists various models of sheets ie; twin, King, Cal-King etc.
We have what I thought was CAL-King, so I ordered 2 sets which with double shipping costs, price and tax came to $105.80. Oh, yes, the sheetsa were prominently advertized as 15 TPI (threads per inch) which I njeed due to Peripheral Neuropathy in the feet and legs (nerve damage). We charged on Visa.
Only one package arrived containing 2 sets of sheets. This was a surprise as I expected 2 packages being charged double for "shipping and Handling." The package was a USPS Flat Rate Postal Express box which is $5.95 no matter what the weight. I felt a little scammed by this "hook" in their advertising. They pocketed $8.95 bottom line.
The surprise for me was when my wife looked at the pached sheets, she noticed thatthey were labeled "Cal-King." She informed me that we need Twin-XL. I made a mistake in the order.
I imediately contacted the vendor, informed him of my error and asked him to do an echange with me. The vendor replied asking me to measure our beds. I did and immediately sent him back the dimensions 80" X 38" (two such beds side by side). He said that the CAL-King was in excess of that. I replied that I now knew that and once again asked for an exchange.
I guesstimate that at least 50 emails went back and forth with this vendor who continuously dodge my request to exchange. Finally he said that due to bed lice, fleas, ticks, fluid etc it was thier policy not to exchange. The vendor said ithat the T&C was on their web site and that I should have read it. I found the T&C on the web site in a far off corner in coor and of very fine print. But it was there allright.
I then notified the vendor that the individual packages were unopened and pristine, brand new.
The vendor argued that it was not his mistake. I agreed, but in the interest of things, would he please authorize an exchange.? Several more emails ensued which became more personal. This is over the course of several days.
Finally I received an email saying "I told you that you could exchange within 30 days!" Surprise. never ever got such a message otherwise, case close. I reiterated my request to send to me a mailing address and a return authorization based on this last email. Got a reply that started the whole thing over again. "It wasn't our fault, we sent you what you ordered!"
I called my Visa account and put a dispute on the charge.
After I looked at them somemore and found a whole web site devoted to web scammers in particular Thesheetpeople.com and Kevin Raines.
Case closed. When asked I will send these scam reports to Visa to back up my charge dispute.Additionally, we noted that nowhere on the package was listed "1500TPI" as advertised by them. No way unless with a microscope and a lot of patience could we verify this indicater of quality.
