Scams writers. Charges $150/hour, attaches herself to writers' work, promising to show scripts to producers, then drops writers once she has been paid. Los Angeles, California

The truth is, most writers are bad and their egos get bruised when their work is beyond repair and lash out, ie: post slime all over the web and place blame where it is not justified. Thia never guarantees the sale of a script... If you have a complaint about Thia, I would look in the mirror first, and decide whether you are being honest with yourself about the reality of your talent as a writer before you make such a huge effort to insult and criticize her. Slander is a crime, by the way.
Making sweeping statements and spreading rumors about her so-called dating life is totally tacky and completely disgusting. I can tell you, I know that your claims about why she dates certain men, is pretty much a guess. And a wrong one at that.
Enjoy your career as a halfway writer, and hopefully you can figure out a way to get your script made into an audio podcast or something. It's not very hard. Assuming you have all the right tools, of course. Like a Mac for starters.

I met Thia when I was writing my first 2 TV pilots in 2007- one a half hour comedy about a baseball team, and one a one hour episodic about a very young man being forced into being a single father. Thia was one of the first people I ever trusted to read what I wrote and to offer her advice, and I'm glad I did; while she had many notes/suggestions/edits on my Freshman efforts, she also inspired me like no one else had. Not just in the conventional way (I always had my mother to tell me how wonderful I was), but in a way that was more valuable- she helped identify specifically what was good about my writing and what I needed work on, and offered a unique perspective on my work that I could not have cultivated even in my most witty and feminine parts. Additionally, I found that the 6-8 months I worked with Thia gave me more Hollywood experience than watching all 28 seasons of Entourage- the only difference was that the Bentley-driving, assistant-firing characters in Thia's life were the ones that the show was actually based on. I'm no expert on Thia's career, but I know that she has worked in the offices of multiple heavy hitting H'wood producers, the head of the TV department for a major studio, and has been part of a writing team that put out some overwhelmingly successful films. Experience is something this woman is not short on.
Toward the end of our time working together, after months of hard work, Thia helped me secure a pitch meeting no pun intended for my baseball pilot with one of the producers of the movie, Fever Pitch. Something I would be incredibly nervous about doing now but, for some reason, felt perfectly prepared and excited for at the time. Thia's calm, cool guidance empowered me and made me feel like I belonged in that meeting, like I could really make something happen. It lasted around 45 minutes, went really well, but my pilot idea was ultimately passed on for one reason or another. Didn't matter to me though- for a young writer with big dreams and very little in the experience department, I was very lucky to have that one. Thanks, Thia.
