Tom Halden is a licensed auto trader/seller under the company name of Blast Industrial Group and Blast Ventures Inc. He purchases autos under his company name but then places ads on Craig's List, Auto Trader, and Cars.com as a private seller. He and many of his relatives, Nate, Kermit, Matt, Ellycia, Peter, list themselves as owners using the same phone numbers (602 568 9455, 480 330 2224, 480 421 8377, 602 809 1820, 602-402-6074). They will have you meet them at either a private residence (Redacted) or Raintree Auto Sales (8340 E. Raintree Dr, Suite B4, Scottsdale, AZ) to see/test drive the car. If you purchase the car, it will be under the guise of being a private individual so they do not charge you income tax or have to fill out the required paperwork if they sold it legally under their licensed auto dealer company. Since they sold it as a private seller, they do not have to afford the purchaser 15 days to return a defective car. The auto they sold me was a 2003 Saturn Vue. They promised us that the car was in fantastic running shape with no issues. If any did pop up, they ensured us they would take care of it. Well, the next day, our mechanic noticed it was revving way too high and upon further inspection, found metal in the transmission fluid. This particular transmission was dumped by Saturn after 2 years so they do not make it anymore so parts and repairs are extremely expensive. To rebuild it with higher quality parts cost us 4400.00 additional dollars above the 5300.00 we paid one day prior. I called Tom 3 times to no avail, they do not answer their phone or return calls.

It wasn't until after this occurred and I did some research on this criminal did I realize the magnitude of the fraud these people are running. All you have to do is Google the phone numbers I have listed above to see the extent of their game. At the time of this report, they have at least 20 vehicles for sale on different sites. I have filed a formal complaint with the Office of Investigator General and the Attorney General. I am also calling all media outlets in Phoenix to see if they will investigate/expose these con artists.
