Thorne, Brooks & Shapiro BUYING ACCOUNTS FROM CAMCO ETC. ON CLOSED ACCOUNTS Reading Pennsylvania

Back in August 2004 I reported the incredible story of how for 21 years now I have been hounded by different collection agencies for money on an account that has been closed since 1984. These agencies: Camco, LHR,INC, LMR, Arrow Financial, and ACCESS America have ALL RE-SOLD my account to each other AFTER being told that the account is closed and satisfied. LHR,Inc. had my account in August 2004 and tried to get money from me.

After they were called by my former bank and contacted by the credit bureaus, they backed down, removed my negative credit report and then RE-SOLD my account. It is now with THORNE, BROOKS & SHAPIRO, A COLLECTION AGENCY IN Reading,PA. Once again the bank, myself, and the FTC contacted them and my bank was told that CAMCO sold them the account (when I know that the last person contacting me for money was LHR,Inc.). This company sent me a threatening pay letter, the individual Mr. John Reed at Thorne, Brooks & Shapiro is obnoxiously rude on the phone and refuses to listen to anything I say.

So I complained to Pennsylvania Attorney General, and the FTC, both are investigating. I ask anyone who has had any contact from this company to contact me via email ASAP and tell me your experience. I am suspecting that LHR,Inc. and CAMCO is now selling problem accounts to Thorne, Brooks & Shapiro. I have sent them a letter warning them that if they RE-SELL my account that there will be repercussions. I don't go away quietly!!
