I ordered a 500 gallon propane tank on 1/6/2012, and paid via electronic check. Thrifty propane told me that the no longer do business in my county, and told me that the refunded the money that I had paid $1,854.34. Instead, on 1/10/2012, they took three times as much as they were entitled to take $5,563.02. None of my telephone calls have been returned, and no product has been delivered. This operation is clearly a scam. I am going to sue Thrifty Propane, and will be filing a criminal complaint for theft by stealing.

I just wanted to comment and let you know that Thrifty is NOT a scam. Yes, they work from their homes, but all their drivers work very hard, trying to exceed customers expectations. They have older trucks that always break down, and not the best customer service reps in the area, but their prices beat anyone around here. I think the problem is they only have a few girls on the phones, taking care of ALL the drivers, and it probably gets overwhelming at times. I'm sorry for anyone who has to deal with such bad customer service from a company, but this is not a scam. I'm not saying I'm agreeing what they are doing to you is right, but I just wanted to get this out there. Keep calling, ask for Angie and she will get your issue resolved.
