#1 Consumer Comment

Ticket Titans II is a Scam Company

AUTHOR: Veritas52 - (Virgin Islands (US))

Ticket Titans II is not a reputable business with an F rating from the Better Business Bureau.  I have read numerous complaints about them.  I also filed my on complaint regarding misrepresentation and unjust enrichment.  I believe they are trying to clean up web searches on them.  My Google search on Chrome does not show the long listing of Ticket Titans II complaints as I get when I do a Google search using Internet Explorer.  These reputation clean up services will make it difficult for consumers to avoid disreputable businesses such as Ticket Titans II.

#2 UPDATE Employee

TicketNetwork is an exchange where tickets are resold at fair market prices

AUTHOR: TicketNetwork - (United States of America)

I am an employee of TicketNetwork responding to the commentary from the above customer. We at TN are very sorry to hear that the customer was disappointed with the price he or she paid for his or her tickets. It would nevertheless appear that the customer's displeasure is based on a misunderstanding of TicketNetwork's policies.  Perhaps it would help if I explained how ticket pricing works on our nationwide exchange.

Briefly, we at TicketNetwork are simply a marketplace (rather like EBay) through which licensed/registered companies and trusted individuals resell tickets to events. This means we at TN don't actually own, price, nor ship the tickets you see listed for sale on our website. All that responsibility is in the hands of the individual ticket sellers who list tickets through us. Typically, these sellers price tickets based on their perception of the events popularity. As a result, the prices of tickets sold through our website are usually either above or below their face value. In this case, the customer concerned purchased his or her tickets from the ticket-selling company Ticket Titans II.

Having said that, the basic purpose of the resale market is to keep popular event tickets on the market longer than they'd normally be available. The added markup on the tickets is what prevents those tickets from being bought up too quickly and thus what keeps them accessible even a few weeks before the event. So, basically, the seller from whom the above customer purchased charged them a convenience fee for accessing their tickets. It's rather like how Macy's or Stop-in-Shop marks up product prices by making it more convenient for people to access other company's shoes and other company's milk. (Plus it's also true that ticket sellers can incur numerous expenses accessing popular event tickets, such as added delivery fees, service fees, fan club memberships, and even ticket mark-ups, if they purchase from another reseller, rather than from the venue directly.)

On that note, we at TicketNetwork are certainly sorry to know that the pricing issue caused confusion for the above customer. It's nevertheless true that we advertise openly on our website that the tickets sold through us are likely going to be above face value. This fact is mentioned in our Terms and Conditions, in our FAQ, and also above every ticket listing on our exchange. We at TN certainly want consumers to have a positive experience when they purchase through us and this involves educating customers as to our business model.

In this case, again, we're sorry to hear that there was any confusion about the nature of the tickets sold through our online exchange. It would nonetheless appear that neither TicketNetwork nor Ticket Titans did anything wrong in the transaction. The customer purchased tickets at a price they were comfortable with paying and also received their product. (We'd nevertheless be happy to help the customer concerned with a discount on a future order to help him or her access new tickets at a later date.)
