A rebate of $58 was promised for a CA Internet Security Suite/hard drive bundle. The offer was in November 2006. I have sent in many rebates to many companies including Tiger Direct. I have received the rebates Onrebate.com has sent me in the past. The process Onrebate.com uses is convuluted, cumbersome, and difficult to use. Well I sent in the UPC from the CA software box. The rebate was rejected because I had the wrong UPC. However , I was offered a chance for resubmission. I have never heard of a rebate resubmission before. I belive that no rebate submission was correct so they had to offer a resubmission. Then I sent in the complete plastic CD case for the software as I believed that the UPC must be somewhere on the case. This was my reply"Thanks for your email.

Dear David,

Your rebate was denied because the UPC was not submitted in your resubmission package.

Mikelson
OnRebate.com

How can my UPC have not been in my resubmission package if I had originally sent the "wrong " one and then sent the complete software case with every bit of information and UPC that could have possibly existed?

The UPC was in one or both of my submissions. There is absolutely no way that Onrebate did not have the correct UPC. As a result of not sending me the $58 rebate I will conduct no more business with TigerDirect. I have forbidden the IT department of my $26million dollar health care company from dealing with TigerDirect. I also will not ever use CA internet security products nor recommend them ever again. I have forbidden my family from using TigerDirect and I am actively requesting all of my computer literate friends to never ,ever buy from TigerDirect.

I urge everyone that sends for a rebate to Onrebate.com to always send the complete packing that TigerDirect sends to in your rebate submssion. No matter how big that packaging may be!...All for a $58 rebate.
