TigerDirect rebate ripoff Naperville Illinois

I fell for the Hanns-G 19 inch monitor scam. Neither Tigerdirect nor Onrebate will honor their deal. It is impossible to enter ones date of purchase into the Onrebate form. Others have had this problem. So many in fact that Tigerdirect had a ready set of useless canned instructions (cookies, explorer etc) because, as we all know, it's the consumers fault. Funny how every other space on the rebate form is fully accessible except for the purchase date box which limits your choices to a two week period.

Paypal is in on it too. They very well know that their service is being used to bait people in. I have purchased three items with a rebate offer and have received only one of them. The 512 Ultra Ram rebate came through, but not the one for the motherboard/cpu bundle. Now I'm out 70 bucks on the Hanns-G, too. By the way, the monitor was dead on arrival and had to be replaced. It is a nice monitor, though. You should go to an honest dealer and buy one. Getting raped really destroys the purchasing experience.

This was not an accident; these people know exactly what they are doing. These computerized runarounds are meticulously planned. It is premeditated fraud and prosecutable as such. Why a company would destroy its reputation with these juvenile attempts at fraud is beyond me.

To those of you who got your rebate -- consider yourself lucky. If you keep accepting candy from strangers, sooner than later they're going to find you lying dark, dead and cold in a culvert.
