I have been a TWC for 2 years the first year i didnt have much problem with them. but their service has been hell since i moved my family into our newly built home. So we only had internet from them the first year, moving into our new house we decided to get some television service and because their internet service wasn't so bad we decided to use them (#1 BAD IDEA).
The cablebox failed to maintain connection within 10mins of the tech leaving, but since we never had cable before we waited til the next day to verify that it was in fact not working before calling them (it was at this time we realised the modem was barely working). Nothing but issues for a whole week (RUN AWAY FROM THESE GUYS, IT WILL TAKE 4-5 DAYS TO FIX ANY ISSUES).
We then decided to cut the cable tv service and keep the internet (#2 BAD IDEA). They finally came out to fix the lines (after many moons) and within a week after the internet started acting up again. on top of this in after a few weeks we received a $600 bill in the mail for their cable service (WHAT?) i was infuriated and took it to the office to show them that i returned their crappy cable box and it seems they later corrected it.
After 2 months mediocre internet service we decided to drop them, and get ATT which was a great idea idea. We kept (((competitor's name redacted))) for quite a few months and did not have any issues with their service (other than the speed they offered was an unbearable (1.5Mbps) after begging them to upgrade our area over the many months (which they did not) we decided to take another chance with TW (#3 BAD IDEA).
From that time til now we have suffered so many dropouts in service, that i think they should be put out of business by another. I have had to rely on my cellphone to submit my reports and projects for work and online skool. Also within this period they have managed to charge me twice for a Modem which i own and after bringing it to their attention they never paid me back my $10. Next they keep pushing customers to go paperless and to sign up for auto billpay (DO NOT DO IT). Thats how they cover their butts, after stealing from you.
so for the past four months they keep telling me that i OWE the previous month which I DO NOT (why? becuz i always pay (((competitor's name redacted))) the same time i pay TWC) so i know its payed. OH yea I said i now have (((redacted))) for television service and havent had any issues with them!!! (other than draggin us through their stupid brawl with VIACOM).
i have paid the so called balance a couple times now, but now my bill is $123.66 for just internet (FOR 1 MONTH).
I really dont have time for this (((redacted))) just recently upgrade their service in the area to 6Mbps i can live with that, plus its not gonna cost me 123.66 a month. if they dont fix this crap soon I am dropping them. PLUS i will never ever recomend their service to anyone else, therefore if you are reading this BE FORE-WARNED if they havent screwed you already.
