Time Warner Time Warner in Manhattan forces consumers to rent cable boxes. Customers are unable to purchase their own cable boxes and must rent them from Time Warner. Cisco and Time Warner have a monopoly on the Queens, New York

Cisco manufatures the boxes for Time Warner, (Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3250) and sells them only to Time Warner.
If we find a cable box on ebay and purchase the box, Time Warner will still not allow us to use it. This is a monopoly in violation of FCC Regulations Anti-trust laws. Under the FCC Reglations we are allowed to purchase our own cable boxes however if we do, Time Warner will not provide the signal. This monoply must be eliminated. We want competiion in NYC and the ability to choose our own provider. We are tired of these worthless providers who provide poor customer services.
