I got about 30 minutes of use out of it when the camcorder stopped working. It will no longer record, playback previous recording, or eject the disc.
At the time of the sale, Tim claimed that the camcorder was in good working order and that there weren't any difficulties. He claimed that he was a former contractor who got the video footage used on the news and that the reason he was selling it was because he no longer needed for work.
I was polite enough to pay him the full amount that he requested for the sale of the camera.
I have since contacted him regarding returning the camera because it obviously has problems and is not working like it should. I paid over $1,000 for this camera and my expectation is that I would receive a reasonably amount of use out of it. Tim has indicated that he is not interested in refunding the money for the camera. He claims that since he thought that the camera was working fine, that any issues that the camera is having must be due to someone else using the camera poorly.
I would like to come to a resolve with Tim. My expectation is that he will refund the money. Or, perhaps, work with me to ensure that the camera gets up and running.
