Purchased 4 new firestone 302/40R22 XL Destination from Tire Choice 9 months ago. Been having a problem with the tires holding air. Stopping every 5 or 6 weeks (as time allows) to check tires and add air. Front left tire is worse, loosing as much as 20 lbs. Stopped in to Tire Choice to explain my problem and we agreed to set all tires at manufactures rate on Dec. 2nd 2012. Truck off to painter, not being driven. Back to Tire choice day after getting Truck back, on Dec. 28, explained the problem (again to different gentleman) who immediately tells me "change in weather temp can do that" and Chrome wheels may have rusted out and seal not tight but does agree to check tires to see what the problem is.
Get a call an hour later I can come pick up the truck, gentleman tells me the front left tire was low but is good now. Ok, i ask what is wrong with the tire that it is not holding air. He is not sure, no screws or punctures found, tells me if it gets low again to come back and let them know. Starts to go into what can be done about the pulling hard to the left, before i let him finish with his sales pitch i explain that I am here because the tire is loosing air, this visit is the result of a test we started earlier this month. That was not in my paperwork and he had no idea what I was taking about. He left at the counter to discuss it with the person who wrote up the order.
Would you believe he told me to stop in once a month, check my tire pressure and put air in it if it is low. I explained that if I have to do that then there is a problem. He offered to take all of my tires off of my truck to inspect them, for a charge and... At that point I picked up my keys and walked out, if I have to do that then I will find someone a little more willing to listen. Basically I feel Tire Choice will not stand behind the product they sell and will do what ever they can to make you go away.
