Went in on 10/27/12 to have tired rotated, oil changed and fluids drained and replaced. I was told it would take 45 minutes - took 4-1/2 hours! I was told tech was having trouble reconnecting hose. Was told not to worry one bit, have a seat, they'll be finished in 15 minutes max. Car kept going up and down, up and down with the job not being finished. When I finally got the car and drove home, engine light still on and tire pressure light still on. Husband took car back and the engine light was reset and tires needed air - after being rotated and supposedly checked. Sunday, after driving noticed smoke or steam coming out of grill at front of car and it smelled like transmission fluid. Couldn't call Tire Discounters at 9pm so did a search on line. The make and model of my car is not even supposed to have transmission fluids changed. So, this is why tech had so much trouble. Why wasn't I told that - all they had to do was tell me and they had plenty of time and opportunity to tell me. Will nevery go back and will tell everyone I know not to go there. I'm wondering if I need a lawyer now.

You should call the store. They have steps to take to take care of things that happen like that. I'm not sure what type of car you drive, but more than likely it has a CVT transmission which is a relatively new technology. Now as a consumer, you should know a little bit about your car. But also as an auto shop, they should have checked to see if they could even do the flush. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this caused you, but you need to either contact the shop you visited, or go to www.TireDiscounters.com and leave a comment, they all go directly to the Owner of the company. Best of luck to you! Also, I don't work at the store in question.
