This statement is in reply to Tire Plus's response to a BBB complaint I submitted.

I am just going to be straight forward with my reply to Tires Plus's response to my complaint; I don't know any other way to say it. K---- A--- is lying, I know he is lying, and he knows he is lying. His statement is full of lies from the beginning to the end.

As I mentioned in my initial statement, any work that my husband did on the vehicle was done before we brought the vehicle in to Tires Plus, the first time. On our initial visit to Tires Plus, my husband never mentioned anything about the work he did on the vehicle, there was no reason to do so.

Tires Plus never mentioned anything to us about having checked the brakes and finding that calipers had been installed improperly by forcing the calipers on the caliper slides causing the front brakes and rotors to burn up. I would think that this would be something that would be mentioned to us and written on the invoice. The only words that I can recall being spoken upon picking up my vehicle were, the cost of my bill, my saying that that was quick and the attendant saying that we had our expert on it. The only thing written on the invoice is what they said they did and the cost of each item.

It is true that I thought that the vehicle was in proper working condition when I left Tires Plus and it did appear to be working fine, so much so that I allowed my mother to drive the vehicle, only to find out that her life or the life of someone else could have been jeopardized because of the confidence that we placed in Tires Plus's work.

It was not a week later that I brought the vehicle back in because the brakes went out again on Sunday, September 17th, and I was back at Tires Plus on Monday afternoon, September 18th. The only reason that I did not bring it in that Monday morning is because, there was no male person around to drive it in for me and I had to work up enough nerve to drive it myself (even though Tires Plus is not very far from where I live).

I was not initially, irate as Mr. A--- put it, because I felt that Tires Plus was going to take care or my vehicle, after all I paid them to fix my brakes and that is what they were suppose to do, and the company gave me a warranty that states that they would fix them.

I did not become irate until Mr. A--- asked me for an additional $300.00, stating that what they fixed was not what was wrong with the vehicle and that it was some other part that I needed that I know now to be a booster (or so I was told). My thoughts were, if they had their expert work on my vehicle and he properly inspected my vehicle, like they said he did, then I should have been informed of whatever problems there were with the vehicle when they called me, before they started to work on the vehicle. There was no mention of calipers being placed on incorrectly when I was called before this company began work on my vehicle.

After I informed Mr. A--- that I brought my vehicle in to get my brakes fix, they did not do that, and I was not going to pay any additional money, he told me that he would order the part and fix it for me, no additional charge. I asked him to give me that in writing and he told me that the machine would not print (another lie). I wrote a note on the work order that was given to me earlier that day stating that: I spoke to A--- on Monday at approximately 6 PM and he assured me that my brakes will be fixed when the parts come in on Wednesday. He said that the problem was the booster.

As far as the bungee cord holding down the master cylinder cap, that was there on the initial visit and I asked the attendant if the cap, not having the seal that it should, could be a problem, and I was told that it was not significant. On the second visit, Mr. A--- specifically stated that he did not think that the cap was significant, but that I should get the cap replaced, so he acknowledged that it was there before the last visit, and I'm not sure why he is bringing it up now, except for reaching for excuses not to honor the company's warranty.

I brought the vehicle back in on Thursday because the part did not come in until that dayso I was told. While there, I left the facility for a while and when I came back it did not appear to me that my vehicle had been moved nor did Mr. A--- acknowledge that I was back.

It wasn't until after my husband called to see what was going on, did Mr. A--- acknowledge that I was there. I asked Mr. A--- what was going on, he informed me that they were not going to fix my vehicle. My husband must have told Mr. A--- that he worked on the vehicle before it was brought to Tires Plus, the first time. I believe this is how Mr. A--- came up with the excuse that calipers were placed on the vehicle improperly causing brakes and rotors to burn out. This was also when Mr. A--- start claiming that their was a problem with the bungee cord as if this was the first time that he had seen it. Mr. A--- proceeded to tell me yet another problem with the vehicle that would now cost $400 and addition to the $300 booster. I asked him where all this additional money and problems was coming from and why wasn't this discovered before now and he started accusing me of having someone go behind the company's work on my vehicle.

I believe Mr. A--- is lying about ordering the part to fix my vehicle because I don't believe he ever intended to fix my vehicle. I know he is lying about a person coming up to Tires Plus stating that he put calipers on my vehicle. He is lying about his statement that he asked about the bungee cord and I said that I'm not talking about this, shut the hood and left. I believe that the damage that was done to my vehicle was done by Tires Plus, why wasn't the damage mentioned to me before the call from my husband. First tires plus said my husband told them that he fixed the calipers, then they say that someone came up to the facility to say that he fixed the calipers (which makes no sense at all), then they say that they told me to take it back to the person that I had do the work (which is them), and that I told them that I had a friend do my workthis statement is full of lies.

No one to this day has touched the vehicle (other than looking at it) since Tires Plus worked on the vehicle. Why would we have someone touch Tires Plus's work when it is their responsibility to make the corrections?

As far as Mr. A' statement that this is what happens when customers have their friends and family try to fix things and then bring it to big companies to finish the repairs that they could not do properly No this is what happens when big companies have incompetent, so called experts employees and dishonest business practices.

Tires Plus did not do the work that it charged me for, the brakes failed after less than a week that they claimed they repaired them. If it is true what the company is claiming about the calipers, then it was from there work or they would have (or should have) advised me of such upon inspection of my vehicle. I find it quite strange that there was no mention of this until after Mr. A--- spoke to my husband who told him he had previous worked on the vehicle (all before bringing it to Tires Plus. The vehicle had been at the shop on three different occasions and according to Tires Plus, initially checked by an expert Why didn't this person tell me about calipers being put on too tight and burned brakes and rotors before? As far as I am concerned the company robbed me of $375.70. The company is negligent and did not honor its warranty. I will do my part to advise everybody who I come into contact with not to do business with this facility.

I guess the reason why it took Tires Plus so long to reply is because it had to get its lie together and it's still full of holes.

I would be willing to write a sworn statement or take a lie detector test, I doubt that Tires Plus can say the sameor will do the same, they will say anything.

My experience with Tires Plus on Tobacco Road has been that the company is sorry. I have experienced incompetent so called mechanics with a lack of integrity.
