Tires Plus Fraud, rip off, wife almost got ran over from pissed off employees Burnsville, Savage Minnesota

I feel like someone who innocently opens the freezer door, and regains consciousness several hours later, with an empty half-gallon ice cream container on their lap. I finished the WHOLE thing. It was painful, but I did it.
It started innocently enough. I just had dealings with Tires Plus. In Minnesota, even! Because they SAVED me over $600 to repair my car, I had a positive opinion of them. Very positive!
Then I met the Glenns. And the opposition . . . or should I say, the Skeptics. Healthy Skeptics! Then came more Glenns. Or were they?
Right now, those several strange hours later, I am sitting here with a scribbled flowchart next to me, trying to sort out details and get the various characters straight. Who said what about Whom? Who called Who What?
And then it hit me. Genius! I'm going to call my Own lawyer and get the rights to the theatrical production of this thread. Theatre of the Absurd, for sure; but theatre nonetheless. This is the Anonymous Internet at its Best/Worst.

so get this. my manager at tires plus actually tells me not to change the oil filters when doing an oil change. he says that "cars dont need oil filters replaced for 10,000 miles" hes an idiot and so are the employees. I quit there and never looked back. DO NOT HAVE WORK DONE AT TIRES PLUS. This is a ridiculous company, and each employee works off of commision.

In Nov. of 07 my wife took our Durango to the Tires plus in Hudson WI to get some tires put on. Ater the tires were put on they told her the front end needed some work (Tie rod ends ect) They gave here an estimate for around $1,200. she called me and I said no tires only, we just had all that replaced just a month ago after it had gone into the ditch! Here it is May 08 and I just had it into a dealership for a tire rotation and had them look over the front end, again and all is ok. These guys at Tires plus are a rip off and I feel very bad for the people they rip off. Maybe a show on tv should film some of these stores pulling this sh*t! Be careful out there!

sorry for my reluctance, but I see you are also from Minnesota, as is the infamous Glenn family. I can't help but thinking how you have come across this page as it was buried nearly 380 pages back from the 1st page at the time I write this. IF you did a tires plus search, you will have noticed a second ROR from the infamous sunny/glenn of Minnesota.

Sorry for my skepticism but I'm thinking you may be related to the original family as well. I will try to bump the other ROR as they were both right next to each other.

I had a freind who was told he needed 1,100.00 work done on his ford tauras. I told him to bring it over and I would take a look and double check the estimate. I have worked on cars for a long time and I can see both sides on this story. If the tires were worn after 11,000 miles there had to be an alignment issue, weather it was ball joints, tie rods or shocks or struts, alos under inflation causes side wall damage and belt seperation. These components are critical when it comes to tire wear. Generally manufacturing defaults are belt seperation or side wall damage. If not replaced or notified what the percautions are at the time of the purchase the store is responsible to document it in there system. Trucks especially are hard on front end parts and are generally expensive to repair. Hauling, pulling heavy trailers, plowing are hard on front end parts and tires. So, were you notified at the time of purchase? and was it explained to you that this was going to happen.
Or did you wait till you replaced the ball joints else where, then blaim it on Tires Plus after the fact, to get free tires.
To rebutt on the crow bar you need to preload the spring and shock to releive presure on the ball joint to check for movement this is a standerd procedure used anywhere.
A couple months ago the new hope store located on winnetka and 36th ave quoted my friend a crap load of money for some front end work a brake job and a alignment lol. His wife was told the car was unsafe, so she called her husband to pick her up. The staff continued to tell her husband that the car needed the following... brakes and rotors front and back... calipers front and back...ball joint RF..outer tie rods (both sides) and a inner tie rod RI.. and ball joints LF,RF.
I (using a crow bar) checked the front end and found one component bad RF tie
rod. I inspected the brakes and measured the rotors and the pads were worn and needed to be replaced but the rotors were fine and still had .095 room to yet be turned out (resurface using a lathe). I replaced the brakes and inspected the calipers and the rears were fine and the fronts also were ok. The total cost of repairs was 125.02.
I was a former employee of this company on and off for 5 years during school and all I have to say is the service was better when Tom G owned it. If anyone was caught selling anything the customer didn't need YOU WERE CRUCIFIED.

Once again, Sunny tries to smear the people who have pointed out the lies and distractions they themselves have put forth. Since you claim that the settlement is confidential, I simply asked for non-confidential information, such as the legal entity authorizing the settlement. I can't believe you are actually going to come on here and tell people that TiresPlus settled with you after you LOST YOUR COURT CASE IN JANUARY 2007!

Why would they give you ANYTHING? Unbelievable. Who was the lawyer you settled with, my two contacts at both Firestone and TiresPlus corporate want to know the name.

This company did the right thing in the end.They came to an agreement.Sometimes you just need to talk to the right person. It was a long battle and very,very stressful. They were treated poorly until the corp. stepped up.The apple valley store has a great team and should be commended for the way they treat people. I was in shock after reading the original post. I believed Glenn at first although I found some of it to be incredible such as the near hit in th parking lot.

After reading through the posts, and seeing Glenn's supporters (who sounded similar to him), I suspected that they were somehow either friends or relatives.

Shame on that family for dragging this out as long as it has and kudos to one member who outed it.

Glenn and family, your posts were belligerant, insulting, filled with bad grammer and typos. I had a very hard time understanding what was trying to be said between the insults. If you are trying to make a point, you would be better received if you took the time to sit down and proofread your posts before hitting the submit button. I'm sorry to sound insulting here, but the posts made by you and your family sounded like they were coming from bunch of uneducated hicks. I'm sure that is not the case, but as someone who was sitting here trying to find out the truth behind the claim, that was my first impression.

I can understand the anger at Tires Plus. I've had a bad experience with them and will not take my vehicles there to have work done other than tires or simple things such as fluid changes or belts replaced.

I have a 1984 Bronco II. I was having trouble with it when I would drive it. When in gear and sitting at a stop, I would have to keep on the gas to keep the truck running. I had it to Tires Plus on 2 occasions. the first time they did put a new fuel pump on which I noticed a definate improvement in pick up but the original problems still existed. The next time, they had my carbuerator off and told me that I needed a new one. I knew that I didn't because I had had it rebuilt a few years earlier. I ended up taking it to someone else and all that it was was a loose distributer cap. It worked like a charm! After that, I will not let them do major work on my vehicles.

Despite that one bad experience, I have stayed a customer when it comes to getting tires. I have got tires for both my Bronco II and My full sized 1995 Bronco which, BTW, has Bridgestone Duelers A/T on it. I had them tell me that I needed ball joints (top + bottom on the passenger side) and an alignment for the Bronco. I didn't have them do it but I got the tires anyway to replace the horrible Goodyear tires that were on it. Ugh! I did get an estimate from them however.

I took the truck to my regular mechanic and he told me the same thing. Top and bottom ball joints on the passenger side plus an alignment and the price he quoted me at was within a few dollars of Tires Plus and I think it may have been more than what Tires Plus had quoted me at. It's been close to 4 years now and I'm just about ready for new tires for the Bronco.

I've had oil changes and belts replaced at this store location and while I'm not crazy about the slow service at times, I will continue to go there to get those simple things done and get my tires. For major things, I go to my regular mechanic or a Ford dealership.


I sympathize with you Glenn, but please, find other ways to vent your frustrations rather than being insulting and getting your family to post with you. I'm sure there were other circumstances with how you were treated in that Tires Plus place. I'm sure you and your wife got abusive with the employees there as well. Next to no one would ever get booted out of a place unless they were making a spectacle. There are always exceptions, but in this case, I have a feeling not.

You will find complaints posted by X TIRESPLUS CUSTOMER that I promise will give you a case of de javu.

A quick scan of these anonymous X TIRESPLUS CUSTOMER posts reveal a sad pattern of victimization by a Tiresplus store, a manager named Wayne, and various "trolls" with "dumb questions to confuse and twist the story".

A certain website dedicated to helping to right the wrongs of consumers has apparently been added to the long list:

Just another quick observation, as noted above the writing style, terrible grammar and bad spelling of Sunny of Phoenix has Glenn written all over it. Look at Glenn's incoherent posts and look at Sunny's. The only difference is the name at the end of the post.

This post may go on for years to come as Glenn and his merry band of lug nuts continue to throw logs on the fire. Next time I'm in Minnesota I plan on going to Tires Plus and buying something, anything just so I can say I am a happy Tires Plus customer.

Whatever shred of credibility Glenn and his band of merry family people had in this thread is completely gone at this point. I cannot see how anyone can come here and (if you read ALL the posts) defend Glenn and his family and attempt to "call me out" about things (I'm talking to you Holly).

Someone who simply "knows" the family would know the broad story. The person who posted as "Sunny" knew the story in so much detail it is obvious that it had to be someone that was there. I mean think about it, have you EVER told a story to someone that was that long and in that much detail, and that person would be able to retell that story in the detail posted by Sunny? Doubtful

You are right. This family is being torn apart and putting some of the things they have been saying down in black and white where they cannot be taken back will only make things worse.

I don't know anyone who has posted on this thread but I feel the need to defend Mike, and, to correct you on one point.

You said that maybe Mike should read these posts more closely. I believe that he has read them closely. Many of the outsiders' who objectively read this thread and comment are sooner or later referred to as trolls or worse, depending on what mood Glenn (& company) are in at the moment.

I don't understand what is wrong with making that observation. I have read these posts carefully and I also have another quote to point out.

As Sunny was relating the story to the queen of Prozac on 5/16/07 I was struck by the phrase:

I too, wish I was there so that I would know which, if any, of Glenn's stories to believe.

Again, I don't know exactly why I feel the need to defend Mike. Maybe because, unlike many of the Glenn' postings, Mikes posts won't give me a migraine while I try to make sense of them. I have also noticed over the past months that Mike has patiently answered questions repeatedly posted to him while the Glenns' repeatedly answer by saying that the questions posted to them have been answered many times, and/or, insult the person asking the questions.

I started viewing this particular thread out of curiosity and initially I believed Glenn but as I get further into the story, I can see clearly that Glenn is a liar (proven on many occasions by Mike)

I can only say to you Glenn, see trick cyclist as he may be able to help you with your obvious problems.

I see other family members took care of the PROZAC queen.BACK TO THE REAL POSTINGS.So Glenn and wife drive 2 miles to the next tiresplus(with out the ball joints FALLING OFF)remember there under warranty so he had to go there.Glenn went in the store and said to the manager Brad "can you come out and look at my tires"(assume he got a call from wayne)Because he said NO AND YOU HAVE 2 MIN TO LEAVE.He has been to this store and bought tires before and was always treated well. Glenn asked Brad why? He said nothing.Glenn told the people waiting in the store look at the service I'm receiving,Look at my tires after 11,000 miles.

I was in the picture before codi. she can refuse to beleive she is the source of all this but I watched her husband go from an honest guy that was going through a tuff time. To Clear the Whole Thing Up

Since this has all been going on for close to five months, I thought I'd clear things up for those of you who don't know Glenn, Michelle, or Amanda. Michelle and Amanda are really Glenn's daughters.

The reason this whole mess got started and has been continuing for so long is because Glenn and his wife are out of money. Glenn does not work all day like he says, nor does he own his own home, and he certainly can't afford investment property.

Also I should mention that he is not a "Nam Vet" like he claims. He was only about 9 years old when the American troops went in to Vietnam. So he should be ashamed of himself for posing as a soldier.

Anyway, at the time he was trying to get new tires he was on his last pennies so the Tires Plus craziness got started as what he thought would be an easy way to make a few bucks to afford rent. He was so desperate for money he started a huge family conflict to try to sponge rent money of his son and daughter-in-law.

After that failed he still needed money for rent and so this all continued. So for any of you who don't know what is really going on here, this is the story. Just thought you all should know the truth.

The reason I'm on here is to DEFEND myself and my husband against their post. Yes Jay my lawyer is aware of H.R 3402 but is more interested in me receiving justice from T.P. All I wanted in the frist place was my money back for bad tires $1800. 'H.R. 3402, the "Violence Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act of 2005'

Specifically, have your lawyer look at the "Preventing Cyberstalking" that is buried deep in the bill.

Now have your lawyer look over the part that says in part: "Whoever...utilizes any device or software that can be used to originate telecommunications or other types of communications that are transmitted, in whole or in part, by the Internet... without disclosing his identity and with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any person...who receives the communications...shall be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than two years, or both."

Now remember that if I was an 'Actor' I could play the part of a 'Lawyer' on the Television... but I am not!

Nor am I offering legal advice, but, I am confident that if you were to show your lawyer everything that you have been posting on the Ripoff Report Website from 11/23/2006 till now. he/she would have a heart attack and just might refer you to a lawyer that specializes in defending people who are accused of committing a felony.

I can't believe I just spent all morning reading this when I should have been working. I googled "Tires Plus" looking for the phone number of the location near me because I'm having problems with my car, and this page came up in the search results.

I say thank you to Glenn and Company because, if anything, you all have convinced me to go there and give them my business to replace the business they may have lost due to your wandering, confusing, and incoherent argument. If you did have a valid complaint, you certainly didn't win me over to your side.

The weirdest part of this all is that Glenn's original argument is easy to read. There are spaces between every sentence, a quick glance shows no major misspellings, and I can understand what he's talking about. But for some reason, every subsequent argument became completely different, even from one post to the next. In one, he even types exactly like Amanda. Interesting, eh? My guess would be that Glenn is one person trying to create various aliases in the hopes people will believe him. It happens all too frequently, unfortunately, and it's the people who have no real argument in the first place that do it most often.

In any case, Glenn (or whoever you may be), all you had to do was to provide the proof, and there wouldn't be anyone questioning your story. But you can't fault us for doing so when said story keeps changing, and every post contradicts the posts before.

If his daughters had come onto the site and backed their father, nobody would have an issue. The problem is that for months they both acted as though they didn't know Glenn and were independent consumers. At the same time they, and Glenn, accused myself as well as many others of not being who we were.

If they were simply trying to support their family, why lie? Why disguise the fact that they (Michelle, Amanda, and Michelles "boyfriend the 'mechanic") were related to Glenn and had a vested interest? Because Glenn had his butt handed to him here and he felt he needed supprt to try and make his claims seem valid when in fact they were not.

This ROR has become a joke. Glenn has changed his story so many times it's not funny. His daughters were outed by a family friend who posted here, as well as psoting that he knows it was all a scam to get money. Glenn said yes they were his daughters, but everythign else he said was a scam. Yeah, because someone who obviously knows your family will post one true thing and one false thing.

Do you see any reason I should believe your story? You need to scan the check that you paid, with the work order, dates and times of all the stores you have been to. I live 5 blocks from the Savage, MN Tires Plus and have used their services many times. Oil changes, new tires, various fluid changes have been done on my cars there. Never a problem with the employees. They have always been courteous and respectful. As a matter of fact, I have used at least 6 different Tires Plus locations in MN over the years. Always courteous and respectful employees. I once paid $600 for 4 Bridgestones on my Tacoma and a vibration appeared after the new tires were put on. After a couple of rebalancing acts they gave me brand new Michelins instead(free,at my request).

I have been to one of these stores a while back...I had no problems like this. I was in and out, just as happy as I could be that day. I just think that maybe Glenn has some anger issues and is exaggerating.... a LOT!

Yeah, I may not have been there to see what really happened. But sometimes the way people present themselves really shows character, and that is one of the major things that judges and juries use.

Personally, I dont see this flying in court... and Glenn, I think you will soon find that you have wasted a lot of your time, not to mention money for lawyer fees.

I also think that Tires Plus needs to clean up their act and I am basing this on the Rip-Off Report complaint, which includes your complaint. I also base this on the BBB complaints.


Tires Plus has training issues which will cause problems with customer service!

Just keep in mind that Tires Plus has had several complaints on the Ripoff Report Website. They also have a Nationwide Unsatisfactory Rating with the BBB.

But don't forget "I have seen managers treat customers poorly and I have seen managers at tire stores do what Glenn described to other people."

I have had a lot of interesting things happen to me. I have seen a lot of things and met a lot of people who could tell you things that are not covered in the history books.

If Glenn wants to talk about being probed by Aliens. OK I believe him. If he wants to talk about the 73/74 combat he was in. well OK!

Go back and read his first report. it looks like some very poor customer service occurred at two independent Tires Plus Stores!

Just keep in mind that I have seen what he described happen and I really felt sorry for the customer.

I have also listened to Managers who ridiculed customers after they left.

Mike, Brad and Robert, you write very well and I enjoy reading your comments. But I am taking the position that a line must be drawn when a company has too many complaints.

I read Glenn's first post and I sent in a comment of support because Tires Plus has too many complaints!

There are tire stores in the state that do not have bad ratings...

In closing: Recently I was reading a post on this site about Quixtar, the person had misspellings, there were mistakes on dates and times. She even seemed to be exaggerating or stretching the truth. People were writing in and ripping her to pieces.

I noticed in one of the posts a reference to a 20/20 report and I was able to find the video. I watched the report and everything the lady wrote about was true!

20/20 even had insiders who confirmed everything!

It should be obvious to those with an open mind. Tires Plus has some problems!

Now, with this said, it is my hope that the readers keep in mind that I do know people who saw combat in the 80's and 90's in South America!

I do know a person who played golf with Chirac and who on occasion would fly Mirages for the French. when he wasn't having unfortunate accidents for people are government didn't care for.

I do know people who fought in Vietnam and they have mentioned how odd it is that so many people claim to have been a gunner on the helicopter gunships.

But even with trying to write as well as you did, they just do not read or maybe hear what they want to. They can spell words wrong, call you names, and post on a movie they saw. Simply because other people have had problems with Tires Plus doesn't make his story true. Glenn has been asked repeated questions that can be used to verfy his story, and has repeatedly refused to do anything but give BS.

1. Asked to provide a scanned copy of a check, he says he isn't allowed to, but at the same time he is allowed to give out in text the informaton on the check? There is no reason by law that he isn't "allowed to" provide it.

2. Asked to provide a docket number so someone can log into West Law and read the facts of Glenns lawsuit, he repeatedly refuses to provide it. Why?

3. Glenn has said Tires Plus lawyers offered him a settlement of "0" because they do not litigate for private stores. Yet Glenn also says he received a check from corporate Tires Plus before he even went to court. (The cashing of such check if he did indeed receive it constitutes a binding settlement), and didn't tell the group this until months after he originally posted and after his court case was laughed out of court.

4. Glenns daughters Michelle and Amanda have posted on this site using deceitful tactics and acting as though they were simply "interested consumers" and not actually related to Glenn. They purposefully acted as though they didn't even know Glenn. Why? Because nobody believed him and he needed someone to support him.

5. Glenns original story was about Tires Plus trying to sell him parts he didn't need and trying to run over his wife as well as his tires wearing fast (probably due to his own trucks mechanical malfeasance). Now all of a sudden it's about tire wear. Wouldn't you have called the cops about running over your wife?

6. Glenn claims to have video of the entire incident. When asked to provide it, silence.

7. Glenn posts irrational, sometimes blathering posts that have nothing to do with his thread rather than answer questions. Most recently, when nobody had responded for a while he posted inane Bon Jovi lyrics. When he saw nobody responded Glenn thought we had all gone and then posted something about him "being right" again so anyone who would see this post would think he was vindicated, when in fact he is still to provide any proof.

8. The same person that informed the group that Michelle and Amanda were his daughters also explained that Glenn was attempting to sue because he was broke. Glenn refutes this, but I ask you, why would someone who obviously knows Glenn and his family tell the truth about his daughters but lie about the reason?

It is obvious that there are some people who have strong feelings about your report and they did not like my comments!

So with this said, let me state again that I believe you and I don't care if that makes me an idiot, moron, stupid, dumb, or what ever comment a person wishes to use because they don't happen to agree with me!

Now with that statement out on the table; let me also point out once again I have seen Managers treat customers in the manner that you have described!

Next point: I am not a big fan of the Better Business Bureau, but, I checked out their site just to see what they had to say and guess what? Tires Plus has an unsatisfactory rating!

Glenn, if you know anything about the BBB, then you would know that a company has to really screw up to get a bad rating from the BBB! (Screwing up with the BBB can also mean that you're not a member and your company will get a bad rating until you join and start paying dues!)

Now when I took the time to check them out on the BBB site, I noticed that there are 200 listings and when I did random checks I noticed that each and every single Tires Plus store had an Unsatisfactory Rating!

Conclusion: Customer Service at Tires Plus sucks! (There are other Tire Stores in your state that have better customer service records.)

Next point: You bought your tires from Tires Plus which might mean that you have a warranty through them something that most tire stores automatically provide as the place where I purchased tires does. So what this tells me is that it makes perfect sense for you to drive to another Tires Plus store all the paperwork that similar tire stores provide state that if there is a problem just go back to one of their stores!

OK! You did that!

For a Tires Plus manager to call up surrounding stores and complain to them about you is Unprofessional!'

It is rude, it is unprofessional, it is an example of bad customer service, it shows poor training and I can go on and on and on!

Why did he do that? What was he afraid of?

What this tells me is that what ever warranty Tires Plus claims too provide for customers is worthless and perhaps this is just one reason why they have a Nationwide Unsatisfactory Rating' with the Better Business Bureau!

The next thing you wrote about is that the second store manager refuses to look at your vehicle and gives you two minutes to leave and he does this in front of witnesses that can be found through Tire Plus's own records for that day!

Wow my lawyer would have loved it if I had called him up and told him that!

He would be in Hog Heaven if I had an accident and he would have offered to bear my children if my wife was injured or killed! (Yes I am a guy and I know what I just wrote He would offer too have my children.)

Now the only reason why I brought this up is too point out the potential of liability that these two unprofessional and very poorly trained managers placed Tires Plus in

Tires Plus manager #2 should have said, Sure we will get you in and take a look Sorry Glenn our mechanic agrees with the other store!

But this did not happen because that takes professionalism and it takes customer service!

Now, I don't know why anyone would have brought up Vietnam because I wrote in with words to the effect I believe you Glenn; I have seen managers treat customers like that.

Yes I understand that these people are just trying to point out the reason for their doubts I understand this!

But and it is important that you know I don't care if you were in the military, I don't care if you were in Vietnam and I don't care if you were in combat!

At the same time if you say that you were in combat while in Vietnam during 73/74 I am OK with that.

Now the important question that people need to consider is Was our government honest with us about Vietnam? Do we know everything that our government did?

Of course not! None of us knows what did or did not occur in Vietnam. So with that said I will let the arm chair historians argue it out and I am not trying to pick a fight with that statement!

I will close with the following true story years ago, in New Mexico, a gentleman stopped in a tire store to have a tire replaced the store manager refused to provide warranty service because the person was from out-of-state. This upset the gentleman, so he bought the store and fired the manager now I will let all the arm chair historians look up this for themselves because it sounds as if somebody needs to go in and turn two Minnesota Tires Plus stores around.

And judging by the number of growing complaints on the Ripoff Report website against Tires Plus, it sounds as if somebody needs to go in and clean up a lot of Tires Plus stores!

I do not know anyone who has posted in this ROR but I am starting to think that everyone in here is crazy.

I did believe Glenn until his story changed so many times that I could no longer make sense of this.

I know if I went to court I would have no problem giving at least enough information to prove this. The information from the court appearance should be public information so I can not understand why you would hide this from everyone.

I would have believed that the ball-joints were fine but why replace parts if they don't have a problem? Even if the price was low I know I would not want my factory ball-joints replaced with some crappy after-market ball-joints. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

The post never mentioned a check but then after the court date you all of the sudden mention that you had a check the entire time. The check first comes from Tires Plus, based in Florida and the funds coming from a bank in Texas.

The next thing I read is that the check came from Firestone. I must just be reading into things here. I am sure that Firestone sent the money to Tires Plus and then Tires Plus wrote you out a check for the amount. This clears up all the confusion.

I mean come on, I know people get ripped off all the time, especially in the auto repair business, but if it looks like a duck then it must be a duck.

The one thing that I keep coming back to when I think about this is why on earth would anyone go to another location for the same company if they were just screwed over by that company? Why didn't Glenn go to the "other" shop as he wanted to do about the ball-joints instead of going to another Tires Plus location.

I do know that Bridgestone has made some really crappy tires over the years so knowing this I could believe this story but not after reading this post.

The last model Toyota Camry came from the factory with Continental, Bridgestone or Michelin tires. I was one of the unfortunate ones who got a Camry with Continental tires, which wore out after 26,000 miles. The car had/has no alignment problem or any other front end problem.

I spoke to several owners with the Bridgestone tires and most of those wore out between 3,000-12,000 miles so I can see how this could happen without having any front end problem. BUT NOT IN THIS CASE.

Reports like this one hurt the reputation of this site and most of all hurt people with legitimate complaints about this company and others.

Now...please explain how you were able to go to Vietnam and conduct combat operations while the US military was not even there. Rambo was just a movie. The ONLY troops who remained until being airlifted off the Embassy in 1975 were the Embassy Guards(Marines) and advisors to the South Vietnamese Army. US troops did NOT participate in ANY combat action after January 1973.

I read your report and have to comment that I have seen tire store managers treat customers in the way you described.

The fact that the mechanic turned red in the face and you could not see the problem tells me that you did the correct thing. Getting a second opinion from someone you trust is always best.

What Robert and others fail to understand is that customer service is a thing of the past and it is sad that reports like yours are getting to be more and more common.

People don't care!

How many times do you see owners of stores talking on a phone while dealing with a customer who is standing in front of them?

Some of the rudest people I met work in a car parts store. Walk into a NAPA store and see how long it takes to be waited on and you will see what I am talking about!

It is also a toss up as to who is the most rude... a NAPA manager or a manager of a Tire Store!

1. You claim in your original post (11/23/2006) that Tires PLus claimed your ball joints were bad, but there was no movement

2. Why would your daughters Michelle and Amanda start posting here on 12/30/2006 and act as though they have never heard this before, or that they are related to you at all? Why lie?

3. You claim in your post on 12/31/2006 to have everything that happened on your cellphone audio AND video. If that's true, how did you lose your lawsuit as you later claim?

4. You claim on 1/17/2007 that someone from the "news" contacted you. Who was it, where did your story appear?

5. You claim on January 24 that Corporate Tires PLus attorneys offered you "zero" as a settlement because they aren't responsible for privately owned stores, yet later claim Tires Plus Corporate sent you a $500 check.

6. What is the Docket Number of your case so I can get the Westlaw case documentation including the judges decision and transcripts.

7. You claim that Tires Plus (or Bridgestone, it changes) sent you a $500 check to make you go away. Yet when I checked with Bridgestone they said there is no way they would ever send out a check without an investigation. You claim to have gotten it within mere weeks with no investigation.

8. You are now claiming that this whole mess is all about how your tires aren't holding up, etc. However, your original report and argument was about them attempting to sell you ball joints that weren't bad and running over your wife.

9. Please explain this to me from your 4/21/2007 post:

As for the amount of times I have posted, yes, I keep this thread bookmarked. However, every post I have posted was in direct reply to another posting asking for clarification of information. You have never provided one shred of proof of any of your claims, two people post under your ID, your daughters came on here and posted numerous times acting like they don't know you, and yet you tell everyone who disagrees with you that THEY are the issue and THEY are lying about their identities. When all else fails, you post inanen blather to distract from the fact that you and your daughters are nothing but a group of liars. And it's not libelous if it's true, and I've already proven it.

When I started my complaint I never thought so many people would feel in some way insulted personally that I had paid for a product that was not holding up and had worn prematurely.I felt as a consumer I had rights to get what I paid for and a right to complain if I did not.I also thought if I could not get my money back that I would stop people from making the same purchase and entering the 1-800-we dont care customer nightmare.

I went to ROR to post my story and get even somewhat for the way I was treated by a big company.I guess the tire companys have so much money they can sell what they want ,talk to people as if you should pay them for there time. They never stand behind their product until x amount of deaths then the goverment steps in then they will do just enough to stay in business.

I could not beleive the number of times I was hit by some people 37 times by mike 21 robert.What to this day has me baffaled is they all claim to have no vested interest in this (just here to help). I feel compelled to comment after months of reading this thread. At first, I sympathized with Glenn's ordeal. I thought that he had a real problem on his hands. I have automotive experience and can see both sides of the fence.

Now after months of going in circles, I believe that Glenn and Wayne simply could not see eye to eye and Glenn became angry because his tires wore out due to other factors.

Glenn, a little advice... In the future, get a second opinion from another shop other than the same company. If the diagnosis is the same, you'll feel a little better about actually fixing your car.

I am not related to Glenn in any way.When I read the post revealing Glenns daughters, I was really surprised!! I did start to find it suspicious that the ROR began against the workers at Tires Plus, then evolved into a ROR about firestone/Bridgestone.

Whether or not this incident actually occurred, your actions on this report have destroyed whatever credibility remained. All three of you have accused anyone who disagreed with you on this post of being associates of Tires Plus, while at the same time posting as though you had no idea who Glenn or his wife is, ALTHOUGH YOU ARE THEIR DAUGHTERS. Now Glenn is posting on other reports on this site launching personal attacks on me, even though I have now been vindicated.

Regardless of your blathering about how "Glenn has answered all of your questions" or "Glenn has proven to you...." the fact is this. Glenn had NEVER answered any of the questions posed to him with any verifiable information and acts hostile when anyone doubts the veracity of his story. This is a tactic commonly used by those who do not have facts on their side.

To top it off, we then have a poster who posts about the family dynamics, and also claims that this whole scam is a ruse to get money, which Glenn agrees you are his daughters.

No matter what you say now, you have zero credibility left..none.

Henry is not really henry. Henry is related to Debra. They had nothing better to do then come on here and start a fight with Glenn when in fact they have nothing to do with this. I am Glenn's daughter. Michelle is my sister. We both went to court with Glenn. We both have shopped at Tires Plus. We have seen the cell phone video. We are invested in this story for one to support the injustice of people getting ripped off and two because we love our parents.

I could give you all sorts in info about the "real deal" about Debra and Henry, but I will not sink to that level. This is RIP OFF not Jerry Springer. I will not post here anymore. I will not shop at Tires Plus nor will I ever give them a good word.

Since this has all been going on for close to five months, I thought I'd clear things up for those of you who don't know Glenn, Michelle, or Amanda. Michelle and Amanda are really Glenn's daughters.

The reason this whole mess got started and has been continuing for so long is because Glenn and his wife are out of money. Glenn does not work all day like he says, nor does he own his own home, and he certainly can't afford investment property.

Also I should mention that he is not a "Nam Vet" like he claims. He was only about 9 years old when the American troops went in to Vietnam. So he should be ashamed of himself for posing as a soldier.

Anyway, at the time he was trying to get new tires he was on his last pennies so the Tires Plus craziness got started as what he thought would be an easy way to make a few bucks to afford rent. He was so desperate for money he started a huge family conflict to try to sponge rent money of his son and daughter-in-law.

After that failed he still needed money for rent and so this all continued. So for any of you who don't know what is really going on here, this is the story. Just thought you all should know the truth.

The US Army is trained to fight in huge numbers, on massive battlefields. The USMC is trained to fight in small numbers, in much smaller areas. We are also trained to attack from amphibious assaults.

There's a reason the marines are called "The President's Own", and provide security for all of our Diplomatic missions, while the Army does not. There is also a reason other countries attempt to emulate US Marine Corps training. For truly hard-core Marines, join the ROK Marine Corps. Those guys are tough beyond all comprehension.

I am no expert, Amanda. Neither am I a fool, and I do not believe everything I read. Glenn cannot tell a consistent story. I am sure if it was you or your loved one you would feel the same. What harm has Glenn caused you? The fact that he may have raised awareness on the bad tires and helped save someone's life? Or is the fact that he wanted to warn about Savage Tires Plus because he almost lost his wife from some nutty employee?

I have tried many times to state the obvious in this public forum to which I have been harassed every time. I was posting about Tires and Tires plus which is all about the support of Glenn and his wife and all others who have been ripped off.

Since I am the one who had 1800 stolen in one year on tires AND my wife nearly ran over I think I AM. I did research on tiresplus they are owned by mogan tires & auto known in fla., nev. s.c.and g.a. as don olsen tires.

In calif. wheelworks tire&auto. Michel tire in ohio, ky. Ind. tenn. Avellimos tires in p.a. n.j. and tiresplus ga. tenn. md. va. mn. wis. Ill. Iowa, neb. s.d n.d kan. colo. mo.

SOURSE is bridgestone-firestone. From july 2004 to jan.15 2007 420 people have been killed in tire related Mercury moontaineer, mazda, navajo has 396 deaths FARS reporting system in resent deaths found in news accounts for more then a year have been seeking death and injury data.

But warning reports have been stymied by the current administration.( the tread act was also stymied). And to all you mikes, do just a little searching before writing that IAM A LIER or saying there are inconsistensies in what I said happen.

Why do you fight so hard for the tire companys and the fact that you find it so hard to believe that I paid good money for tires that were mis-made and wore out and that we received bad service when trying to get them replaced. Now why dont you go to the grave sites where somebody died driving on bad tires, and go tell THEIR familys their full of crap. The report on someone asking for sex in exchange for payment, has more importance here than any of YOUR rebuttals. Yes, it happened at a different Tires plus store, but it still represents that business!

Thanks Amanda for once again posting something that has NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS POST. Posting something that happened in Georgia has nothing to do with Glenns ROR that happened in a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STATE. I'd give you leeway if it was at least on topic, but since Glenns post had NOTHING TO DO WITH OFFERING FREE TIRES FOR SEX, this means absolutely nothing. In fact, the Tires Plus Glenn is complaining about IS NOT A CORPORATE STORE (by his own admission) and therefore has nothing to do with any other Tires Pus store. All your report does is point out what everyone knows, that anywhere you go there are bad apples.

My second post has not appeared. Too bad as it was an effort for intervention to bring sanity to bear. But perhaps the editor will reconsider and see its merit and allow the post to be added? Hope so.

In any event I'VE SENT A NOTE TO BRIDGESTONE CORPORATE OFFICES asking for their comments on this thread. According to this Athens-Clarke Police report, Mulligan told the 25-year-old woman that he would give her the tires for free "if she would meet him at a hotel room for sex." The woman contacted cops (who redacted her name from the report) and Mulligan was charged with pandering and solicitation. Mulligan was arrested at work and photographed in his Tires Plus shirt.
