The first thing about this company is the ludicrious website oh they have low interest rates and yeah you get money right away, but read further and it states they dont want to repo your car and they will work with you .True they work with you BUT...you must waste your gas and time you cant call and "say i will be in say the next day when i get paid" The very first thing they say is"we have no grace period and we will have to have the car"So thats a lie and yes they will after you waste your time let you pay when you get paid but a very unproffesional way of doing buisness.

Next you will find they will call every day and every week the week before your date is due to pay ,like your to stupid to remember.

Next and most important the scams ,If you pay a day or a week early you will move your payment date up less than 30 days ??This has to be a scam it benifits them and they punish you for paying early

The kicker and the best is when i paid my title off oweing 249.00 I went in the week before and made my normal payment .Had the reciepts showing the amounts due ,the next week i goe in and pay it off and get charged by Becky Keller a maturity of interestthat was not due until the 27th day of the month so by paying it off early you get charged a phantom interest charge.
They are the most unproffesional company that the city and the south has seen.Any help and consultant is appreciatted and please ignore TitleMax and any yof there associates and in my case one Becky Keller

#1 UPDATE Employee

glad you paid off

AUTHOR: Brian - (U.S.A.)

I seen that you have paid off, this was for everybody else reading this also, and for my last name you should know that for one, no one in collection gives out there last name, and that this site does not even put it on here. About the suppose of phantom intrest, READ THE STATE PAWN LAW, you pawn is a 30 day pawn, intrest is charged at the beginning of the 30 days, so if you come in even 2 days after the last payment you must pay the 30 day intrest per tn state law. These places are audited by the state every year random with no warning. If they were breaking the law they would be shut down. Also it is a lie to say if you pay early you loose days. Your pawn is still due 30 days from the time it was due,it is a 30 day pawn not a one month pawn,so date will be different each month if there is 31 days in a month. READ THE PAYBACK GUIDE. Your receipt alwasy shows what the payoff is and what date its good through(the next due date). You can call any lawyer you want, but they will tell you the same thing, you signed the contract and law is being followed.
This is a pawn not a loan, the laws are very different, intrest is charged different and the ways it is collected are different

Brian ,whoever ,nice that the company and its employees are not strong enough to even include a last name ,what a surprise.

Anyhow Brian eat tennessee snicker ,If you would read my ripoff report it plainly states i paid it off.Thats when the ripoff became obvious. The crying seems to be from your side and by my mailbox Titlemax wanting to offer loan after loan.

Look my bills paid and its over but it has gotten some attention and some legal advice has been forwarded and is pending
TitleMax what a ripoff and they can obviously live with it ,more info in future .
Have researched some other cases in Lenoir City and are forwarding them to this site as well
Thank you Ripoff .com and yes i support you

read your contract and pay your bill!!

AUTHOR: Brian - (U.S.A.)

For one, the intrest rate starts at 9.99 not 22, all the other title pawn company charge 22%. Title max is the lowest.2. You get a payback guide exactly showing when the payment will be and how much.3. If you dont want to worry about getting calls or you vehicle repo, PAY YOUR BILL ON TIME.
Im tired of hearing everbody cry, its simple read what they give you,and pay your bill, they told you there is no grace period, what is so hard to understand about that.

#4 Consumer Suggestion

In Tennesee, there is another option

AUTHOR: Katy - (U.S.A.)

In Tennesee, there is currently a class action lawsuit against Titlemax for charging too high an interest rate (state law sets the maximum interest at 9.99%, Titlemax typically charges 22%).

I don't know if this applies to you, because I can't tell if you were charged interest for sure or not since you paid in the first 30 days. But if it does, contact your local courthouse to find the attorneys representing the class action suit if you wish to participate.
