I signed up for a discount membership with Together Dating in Indianapolis. I was promised the world, that they would match me up with the typeof person I was looking for. I tried to leave the interview several times but they kept my attention and made sure that I was hooked on what they were telling me, that they would find and match me up with the girl of my dreams. I feel for it hook line and sinker and signed the contract for almost $2500.00 for 12 matches. Needless to say after I finally did start recieving my matches they were not even close to what I had asked for in personallity, looks, attitude, or location. Even after calling and writing the service to tell them the problems with each one after I had met them, they did not make any corrections and kept matching me up with the same type of people. I finally met someone through another service and sent the following letter to Together Dating.

"Please put my membership account on hold until further notice. Do not send any more matches at this time. I have had 3 referrals from your service and none of the three were anywhere near a match. I have met someone through match.com and am pursuing this relationship and want to see where it goes. Is there any way to sell the remaining matches back or to someone else. I have not been impressed with your service at all. I have met more quality as well as closer to what I was looking for on match.com for a fraction of the price. Please let me know what my options are with the remaining matches that I have. I look forward to hearing from you on an answer to this question. But I am assuming that like the rest of your service, I will hear nothing as I have asked for information before in the past and never got a response. I will be sending a copy of this letter to the corporate office as well."

To this date I have recieved no response to this letter. Stay away from them, they are a ripoff.

CONSIDERING CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST TOGETHER DATING SERVICE

AUTHOR: Petite - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 22, 2009

I understand why the Rip Off Report does not want to print email addresses on their site. For those living in the DC Metro area who have been ripped off by Together Dating Service, I plan to place an ad in the Washington Post the week of June 22, 2009 to determine if there are sufficeint numbers out there to beging exploring a Class Action lawsuit against Together Dating in Falls Church, VA/Columbia, MD. If there are enough people out there, perhaps we could go after the franchise headquarters in MA.

TDS DOES NOT DELIVER ON ITS PROMISES - WE NEED A CLASS-ACTION SUIT

AUTHOR: Jan S. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 03, 2009

My name is Jan and my report is dated 6/4/09. I live in the Washington/MD/VA area and if anyone at all has further information about an upcoming law suit, let me know!

The whole couple of years my contract was in force was unpleasant. All the comments I've read are spot-on.

I want this company, whatever it's called (who knows who the owners/operator is!) should be held accountable for the appalling and overly expensive service it does NOT provide.

I'm so angry.

Class Action Suit suggestion

AUTHOR: Terry - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 30, 2007

I am also one of those people who got sold a bill of goods for almost $3000 dollars. I too have been recieving lousy matches not at all with the kind of people I am looking for. I wish to file a class action suit along with anyone else who has been ripped off. Lets send a message to these kinds of businesses.

I want everyone to email me your info and I will try and contact an attourny in CA who can handle this kind of a case. Unless someone else has already started the ball rolling more people will get riped off.

I was locked in a room and not allowed to leave. I was told that I would be hooked up with the woman of my dreams yadda yadda yadda. I have met a few of the possible matches and not one of them was even interested in me let alone the kind of person I was looking for. They drag out beyond the three days so you are made to feel they are locating matches for you. By the time you realize the scam its too late.

They don't send you photos so you have no idea who your meeting. They don't have email and use the old mail method which is slow and tedious. You can never get in touch with the office until the next day and they make excuses and then do nothing but more of the same.

so many people...

AUTHOR: Doug - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 16, 2007

...going through the same thing. My story mirrors yours. I did not hear from them until I stopped payment on my credit card. The only correspondence I received was a summons to small claims court. I think there are enough other cases of abuse to file a class action lawsuit against Together.

Good luck, D.
