SEO Reputation Management at its best!

First of all I would like to state that this company has a sales pitch from hell. High pressure and chock full of lies and misrepresentations!

1) We have thousands of matches in your area. We even have many in your city (Waco). BS...
2) We match you on criteria you fill out when you join. Oh really? How about the criteria concerning number of children of potential dates? I requested ZERO or maybe ONE. I was sent matches who had more than one child. One of these was sent to me AGAIN after I rejected them the first time on the basis that she had two kids.
3) We match you better than the online services. BS... they absolutely pull names out of a hat, because far more than three quarters of the girls I called NEVER answered the phone, most likely because I'm an hour and a half away at least.
4) We have the same payment plan for everyone... this was said several times while I was in the office, only to find out that other people paid far less than I did for the same number of matches. Talk about feeling stoopid (intentionally mispelled)... and taken advantage of.
5) Relationship matchmakers or whatever they call the people that pull the names out of the hats, don't return phone calls... EVER. Even after filing a complaint with the owner, I waited weeks for his delegate to return my phone calls. They act irritated that you actually expect them to call you back WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL. Imagine that...???
6) Can't specify physical criteria... hello? I'm in fairly good shape... I expect to be matched with someone who is... yep, you guessed it... also in fairly good shape. I'm not looking for a beauty queen and not really into skinny girls. Just a normal girl. Too much to ask for? You bet. Of the three girls I ACTUALLY ended up meeting in person, ALL THREE were significantly overweight. When asking on subsequent matches what type of body type the women were, Together Dating refused to answer.

I mean lets face it - there are thousands of complaints online about this company with basically the same premise as mine - this company takes your money and you're lucky if they set you up with anyone, much less anyone you had in mind as even remotely meeting your stated criteria.

Past Customer's comments

AUTHOR: Wes - (U.S.A.)

Wow, This does not describe my experience. I went to "Together" on a reccomendation from a good friend (I asked how he met his wife). I met 8-10 wonderful women before meeting the one I eventually married. Years later, I talked my Best Man into joining (Boy, did I have to twist his arm), and he wound up meeting and marrying his wife through "Together."

I found them to be easy to work with, and if they had any fault, it was that they set me up with too many introductions.

Honestly, I think the key to making "Together" work is simply to follow their format. If they are not providing the service you want, just let them know, and I am sure they would be willing to accomodate. Why would they intentionally want to have dissatisfied customers?

Remember, all that "Together" provides is an introduction to another eligible Bachelor/Bachelorette...Be flexible, and considerate of the people you are meeting. Worst case???? You might find yourself going out with a bunch of really great people. Best Case??? You might find your soul mate.

P.S. One more thing....Lose the attitude, and people might like you better.

Wes

THIS COMPANY RIPPED ME OFF TO!!

AUTHOR: Margaret - (U.S.A.)

I signed up with the one here in Houston and what a waste. I was ripped out of $1500. Their service was overpriced, useless, and the men they tried to set me up with were:

1 had just got divorced, (like I really want someone on the rebound)
1 was a pot headed musician ( even though I said, NO MUSICIANS)
1 was Hispanic ( I DON'T DATE OUT OF MY RACE, I AM CAUCASION)

The company also gave my name and number to phone sales soliciters that bothered me all the time.

They swore up and down they would give me a partial refund for cancellation and when I showd up at their office, the director went and hid in his car and locked the doors.

I will never waste another penny on some crap like this. I think after all this hassle I would rather be single.

Corrected Information

AUTHOR: Jo Jo - (U.S.A.)

First of all, it's confusing as to which office and service I even joined. The web site was The Right One. The guy on the phone who started the high pressure sales pitch identified himself as working for The Right One. I signed a contract with Together Dating in their Austin office. I was serviced out of Dallas AND Austin, although no match from Dallas EVER returned a phone call. I live in Waco, so it shouldn't be that hard to find my information. I ended services with the Dallas office because Jennifer repeatedly failed to return phone calls as promised, and was unwilling to listen to my complaints. She said she was under no contractual obligation to even match me, so I told her not to bother if she was going to be so hostile and unprofessional (why would I want someone hostile finding romantic matches for me?)

I've had several discussions with several people during the course of this fiasco(who no longer work there). Each of them promised that they alone would be handling my services, but eventually pawned me off on someone ultimately unfamiliar with my criteria (ergo repeatedly getting matches with more children than I requested or ignoring my request to not be matched with obese women).

I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau based on the fact that it appears there is no good faith effort to match me with people that I described in the criteria. It also appears that they simply throw matches at me with complete disregard as to whether the match is willing to have a long distance relationship. This probably explains why FAR more than half of the women simply never returned phone calls or polite messages introducing myself.

It's simple, if you oversold the product and can't deliver matches that meet my criteria and return phone calls, you owe it to me to give me a refund. No office completely takes responsibility for honoring the contract, and I've been bounced around to all sorts of girls who match me without reading my criteria.

Since filing the BBB complaint, I've been contacted. The person who contacted me has made the same promises to "fix" things, but that's been over a week ago and I've not heard back.

Help for Jo Jo...

AUTHOR: Manager - (U.S.A.)

Dear Jo Jo,

Together Dating Service has attempted to look up your information and search/resolve your complaint, but we do not have enough information to do so. Please contact our office directly, and we will look into, and attempt to resolve your issues. It is our belief that you actually joined The Right One of Austin or Dallas, and not Together of San Antonio. For a short period of time, Austin members of The Right One were serviced out of Together's San Antonio office, but by employees of The Right One; this was done on a contract basis, which has ended. All Austin members are matched out of The Right One of Dallas. Please contact us so we can get to the bottom of your complaint; we will help as much as humanly possible. If we are correct, and you joined The Right One of Austin, please ammend or change your complaint to indicated the proper office with which you are dissatisfied. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
