What he does is the following: He pretends to help you refinance or obtain a loan if you are purchasing a home. He will email you good faith estimates to make it seem like he is really working on getting you a loan. He then will call you to see if you can meet him to go over all the loan options that he has available. He will tell you that he can meet you anywhere just for your convenience but in fact I think he's doing this because he doesn't have a real license. So there is no way he can meet you at the office he pretends to be with.
In this case B&A Mortgage on 2444 Times Blvd, Suite 316 Houston, Texas 77005. So of course you think hey this guy is really good so you go and you meet him. He gets to the place and he doesn't have not one document with him that he said he would have. Instead he tells you what he has already told you over the phone. So as the meeting gets to an end he tells you that he can't get anything accomplished until you pay him $450 which covers the application fee and Appraisal Fee. If you are smart you tell him that you have to think about it because you want to see concrete numbers before you decide to proceed. Which is what I did! Thank God if not I would be out $450 that I don't have in the 1st place!
To end things when you call him to check status of your file he doesn't answer his phone and he doesn't return your phone calls. So if that doesn't seem fishy to you then I don't know what is wrong with you! Please stay away from him!
