We used Tonya Witmer to sell our home and were going to use her to purchase another property. We were not told when people called because she was too busy shopping or having lunch with "the girls" to let us know.
We were also told that the buyer wanted to close early, then found out that it really was Tonya Witmer that wanted to close early so she would have Christmas money. She told us the buyer contacted her and wanted to close several weeks early, but told the truth when we said we would negotiate with them.
She held on to offers for hours and hours, so she could shop and take a nap, did not return phone calls promptly, lied about pricing, told us not to "bother her" on weekend due to her wanting to go out shopping with company and that she wouldn't be working on teh weekend, the busiest time for a Realtor.
Tonya also lost an offer, signed and filled out with personal information of financial interests, which would be an identity theft wet dream. First she said she gave it to us (she didn't), then said she had it (she didn't) and finally said she didn't find it. She refuses to look for it and is not concerned regarding the issue.
Tonya held on to the offer well over 24 hours, causing the sellers of the new property to anticipate an offer coming in, but it never coming. She also demanded we use the lender that is in her office, because it would help her. She said she got HUGE candy baskets and things when she brought buyers in. This is unethical and illegal, it is accepting kick backs from lenders.
We finally brought the broker in, but the damage had been done. We requested they pay closing costs on the new house due to the agent breaching the contract. We have asked that she be replaced, and are now working with a new agent out of the same office, but only on the selling side, we won't be using Reece/Nichols anymore and would advise anyone against using them!
