Moving services on 2/18/2012  Account #5275, Money Order in the amount of $300. When the moving company came to gather my items to move on 2/18/2012, I was told at the time that if any items were over the estimated price, I would be told prior to my items being put on the truck. Needless to say the moving company loaded all of the items in the apartment and then told me that I would be charged an additional $284.

I was not ok with that, I asked the drive to remove items so that I would not have to pay over the estimated amount that I aggreed the paying. The driver declined and told me to speak with a supervisor. I called Top Class Moving and the manager Sam stated to a representative that he would give me a call back and he did not. By the manager not calling the driver or myself back, I was forced to pay $284 additional because the driver refused to remove my items after he told me that once he gets close to the cu ft of 379 he would let me know and then at that point I can make a decision to continue loading or decline additional loading. I continued to call Top Class on 2/20, 2/21, and 2/22.

No one returned my calls, I had a representative Joanne whom I was working with and she never returned an email or a phone call (of which I still have copies of). So finally as I am on the road 2/24 to Arizona (driving) I called again and was spoken to by a rude representative (woman) who would not give me her name. I asked for the supervisor again and she stated that he was not available and that I can call back. On 2/25, Joanne called me and stated that if I wasnt happy with the price, I can come pick up my items (which were already in route to Arizona) I told her that it is not the prices, its the additional amounts that she stated I would not have to pay.

At this point, I was frustrated and on the road so I refused to be distracted and I hung up on her. On 2/25, the driver who had my items to unload at the apartment told me that I would have to pay $300 to have a shuttle bring my items onto the property. I was never told of a shuttle charge and there was no charge on the paperwork that was signed prior to the driver bringing my items.

I also had several conversations with the driver and Joanne prior to delivery. I was told that I would not be charged any additional charges at delivery which would include, walk distance, carry, stair or shuttle charges. At this point the driver is yelling at me stating that I have to pay $300 dollars to him to get my items off the truck. After an hour of going back and forth, I paid the $300. The manager at this point has yet to call the driver or me back. I feel that the practice is unfair and I want my $300.00 back for shuttle. Joanna has yet to send me an email stating what she said about me not paying additional at the delivery.

This is not a good consumer practice and this organization should be investigated. Also, I have several binding contracts in my email that have all changed in content since my initial call for a quote on 1/30/2012. I have all emails to forward if necessary.
