Top Gun Options is dishonest and unethical, intent on scamming the public and separating people from their hard-earned money!
During one of their promotions, Whiz made a video telling viewers to try out his Top Gun Options service for 30 days, and receive a complete refund if not completely satisfied (subject to certain conditions such as attending the weekly briefing sessions and placing 2 trades per week in a demo account). He repeatedly stressed the risk was entirely on him to perform, since he would provide a complete refund if customers were not satisfied.
A few days later I noticed the video was removed, so I asked Top Gun Options to confirm their refund policy. They confirmed it was still valid and sent it to me by email, so I purchased their service.
Soon it became apparent these guys were just not up to it. I wouldn't subscribe to their service even if it were free.
Unfortunately I was required to attend their weekly briefing sessions for a whole month, which were mostly a waste of time. The 30 days couldn't pass soon enough.
At the end of the 30 days, I sent in my documentation showing that I had placed the required trades and satisfied the other conditions, and politely requested a refund. They would have none of it!
First they told me they didn't offer refunds anymore, so I sent them a copy of their very own refund policy they had sent to me 30 days prior. From that point on, they refused to answer any of my messages and I could not get in touch with them. Despite the fact that I had their refund policy in writing (and satisfied all the conditions)... they refused to honor it!!
I lodged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, to which they never responded. At the time, this caused their rating with BBB to drop from A to B-.
I also lodged a claim with my credit card (Chase) and to their credit -- they also acknowledged that it was a valid claim and issued a full refund. So although I now have my money back, it's clear Top Gun Options doesn't have any honesty. They will do and say anything just to get your money, and then refuse to honor their own refund policy. Make sure you have a good credit card company who can fight on your behalf!

Neither the report nor the response surprise me.
It is hard to get to the truth with the con artists in the investment education space. Worse are companies like Top Gun Options where the company culture is one of mocking their clients, foul language on calls, and generally unprofessional behavior.
For a company to stoop to such a minor point (trades on one platform v. another) entirely misses the client side of things. It takes time and sometimes money to open an account with different brokers.
It takes even more time to learn and understand their platform. It is possible you could get all that done in 30 days, along with trying to understand the techniques of Top Gun Options and following the petty rules for the refund.
But, latching on to that point when the intent of providing detail of paper trading is to ensure the client actually gave the service a sincere shot is simply immature on the part of the Top Gun Option leadership.
However, that is their culture. Clients are sheep to be shorn, any which way you can.

I will not do business with a company that has fine print to get out of paying refunds,
shady business practices at best.

We did respond to the BBB inaccurate report that you filed.
Here is a copy of that response:
Our order page clearly stated that you must place at least two trades generated from the TGO program in a
tradeMONSTER virtual trade account each week during your first 30 days in
the program. This must be documented and provided as proof in order to get
a refund. (You can sign up for a free account on their website)
Mr. ****** placed his trades in a thinkorswim trading account so he does not fit the criteria for a refund.
The email he is referring to from "Whiz" was directed at students that followed the proper criteria for a full refund.
We are sorry Mr. ****** is unhappy but we clearly state in our policy what is needed for a full refund.

As with many disgruntled consumers who fail to read the terms and conditions of purchase, this individual is choosing to slander our business.
Final note - we fought this chargeback and initially won. This individual threatened to close his account with the CC company and they came back to us and apologized that they were going to refund him even though we were right.
